Recovery from dehydration

I got dehydrated day before yesterday and experienced dizziness and unsteady walking.

And even though I rested all day and drank a lot of water yesterday,  and slept well last night,

I am not still feeling “ok” again yet and my walking is still unsteady. My BP was high yesterday and again this morning. Normally. It’s LOW. I’m a senior…and it’s been so hot.

Not asking for medical advice - just wanting to know other seniors' experiences.

What kind of dancing is this?

I took this video late afternoon yesterday at a park near me. The dancers seemed like older people and the caller was calling out steps, but it’s not square dancing. It was just couples dancing together.

my 2025 tax return has been changed !

I am a single senior and use a cpa to prepare my taxes. I also pay estimated taxes. I sent checks again this year as my cpa said irs still accepts checks. Yesterday I got a letter from the irs. The top line was “ your 2025 tax return has been changed” and the letter is stating Iowe $1,700 !!! And to pay online.Should I create an account with irs.gov and try to figure out how to pay online?

And then inform my cap? Or should I take this letter to my cpa first?

My Grief Monster

This is my grief monster. He was born the day my husband died. I was really frightened of him at first and I thought the best thing I could do was fight him.  For a long time I tried really hard to keep him locked up in the darkest corner of my mind, but he always found a way to get out.

Eventually I realized that, no matter how hard I tried to ignore him, my grief monster wasn’t going anywhere – so I decided to invite him in. Once we got to talking I realized that we actually had a lot in common – we both really missed my husband and we both really wanted to remember him.

After that, I let my grief monster go everywhere with me.  Even though he still made me sad sometimes, I knew he meant well.
Although it seems scary, acknowledging your grief monster is an important part of grieving.  True the grief monsters will cause you pain, but they become far less terrifying when you face them in the light of day.  Actually, grief monsters can also help you to grow and do new things
