Ford Ranger displays are doing the truck a disservice. Are pickups just shiny pavement princesses now? 🛒

Have you noticed how all the official displays and dealer showrooms for the Ranger look these days?
Every time I see one on display, it's polished to a mirror shine, sitting on massive rims with street tires, and the bed looks like the heaviest load it will ever carry is some IKEA furniture. Zero gear, zero character.
I drive a PHEV Stormtrak myself, and at 6'4" (194 cm) tall, it's one of the few trucks where I actually fit comfortably. But to me, it's primarily a workhorse and a base for off-road mods (AT tires, wheel spacers). When I look at these sterile, showroom displays, I feel like manufacturers have completely forgotten what these trucks were built for and are just targeting people who want to look tough in the mall parking lot.
Is it just me who finds this annoying?
Imagine a display where the Ranger is caked in mud, equipped with a rooftop tent, a kinetic recovery rope on the bumper, and the onboard charging system powering a full campsite setup. That would turn 10x more heads!
What’s your take?

  1. Do you prefer the "showroom shine," or should a truck look like it just got back from the woods?
  2. If you were designing a Ranger display, what gear would you throw on it to show its true potential?
Let me know, because I'm starting to think I'm in the minority here.

Took the Ranger out for some fun in a massive sand mine in Poland! 🇵🇱🏜️

https://youtu.be/gQQJTqPsVNo?is=Qpvt6IJMrY-z1wh2

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share some highlights from this weekend's off-road trip. We took the Ranger out to a huge sand mine here in Poland, and it was an absolute blast. Pictures and videos honestly don't do the scale of this place justice!
The Experience:
Driving in deep sand is always a bit of a gamble, but the truck handled it like an absolute champ. We spent a few hours carving through the dunes, climbing some steep, loose inclines, and just enjoying the massive open space. There is something incredibly satisfying about hearing the engine work while throwing huge rooster tails of sand!
How the Truck Handled:
Tires & Pressure: Aired down to about 15-18 psi before hitting the soft stuff, which made a world of difference for flotation.
4WD System: Kept it in 4H for the wider, sweeping sections and dropped it into 4L for the steeper, softer climbs where we needed that extra low-end torque.
Clearance: The ground clearance was perfect. We didn't beach it once, even in the deeply rutted tracks left by heavy mining machinery.

Note: If you ever plan to off-road in a sand pit or quarry, always make sure you have the legal right/permission to be there, and watch out for sudden drop-offs! The terrain in these places changes daily.

New optic on board! 🔥 Primary arms magnifier x6

A new Primary Arms 6x magnifier just landed on the Hera 🎯
First range tests are behind us and I gotta admit, this gear does an amazing job! The glass is razor-sharp, the eye relief is very forgiving, and aligning it with the prism was a bit nerve-wracking, but I finally found the sweet spot.
It definitely steps up the usability and precision at mid-range. Steel gongs, beware. Here's to more! 😎💪

Wracam do swojego światłowodu.

Best mounting spots for cinematic "overlanding" shots on a Ranger???

Hey everyone, I’ve been taking my Ranger out on some overlanding trips lately and I’m looking to step up my video game. I’m currently using a GoPro/Insta360 setup and want to capture some more dynamic angles beyond the basic hood or windshield view.
For those of you who film your truck builds or off-road excursions:
Where do you find the most stable mounting spots that handle trail vibration well?
Do you have a favorite "cinematic" angle that really shows off the truck’s suspension or the terrain?
Any tips on managing battery life/cabling when you have multiple cameras mounted outside?
I’m aiming for that "tough/adventure" vibe. Would love to see your setups or hear your go-to gear for trail filming!

Has anyone installed a Blow-Off Valve (BOV) on their Ranger (specifically 2.3 EcoBoost / PHEV)?

Hey everyone!

I’m seriously considering adding a Blow-Off Valve to my Ranger. I have the new PHEV version (2.3 EcoBoost) and I’m really missing that classic turbo "swoosh" sound when letting off the gas.
However, I have some concerns about how the electronics and the hybrid system will handle it. Since the factory bypass valve recirculates the air, I’m worried that venting it to the atmosphere with a BOV might confuse the sensors, throw a Check Engine light, or cause the engine to run rich/lean.
Has anyone here done this mod on their 2.3 EcoBoost Ranger (or specifically the PHEV)?
• Which BOV kit did you use (Turbosmart, Boomba, etc.)?
• Did you run into any check engine lights or drivability issues?
• How does it sound in real life?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Beretta 92XI SAO

Hello
I recently purchased this pistol. Unfortunately, after about 300 rounds, the front sight came loose. I tried fixing it with metal adhesive, but it's loose again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? There are no screws holding it in plac

Cześć wszystkim! 👋

Witamy w społeczności poświęconej pierwszemu Rangerowi z napędem hybrydowym plug-in!

• 🔧 Modyfikacje: Jakie zabudowy, rolety, czy opony AT/MT wrzuciliście do swoich Rangerów?

Szerokiej drogi i zawsze naładowanej baterii! ⚡
