New Counselor Success

I have been supervising counselors for 30 years on a university and private level. I have great relationships with my interns. I know the people they work for and about their personal life…not overboard with that part…I constantly hear from them even after they become licensed and we talk about challenges they faced throughout the process of grad school, associate licensing and LPC. The issues I see are frequent and common…However, just because I’ve been at this for years,I still want to be able to prepare my interns for what to expect and how to sidestep pitfalls…I also want to improve at training them to be good counselors that care about their clients and success.
I’d like to know your experience…what challenges have you faced? What could your supervisor have done to help you feel confident and competent? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Lifetime Flooring

I replaced all the flooring in my home with lifetime flooring. Mostly it has been great and it looks good. I’ve had a couple of planks where the toungue and groove that connects the planks fell off and the planks move up and down where they are connected. Any advice on the warranty or how to fix it?

What fabric for French drain and sump well in crawl space

Do you use fabric when you install a French drain or sump pump basin in a crawl space? Why or why not? What kind of fabric do you use and where do you get it?

I can’t afford to put French drains around my entire house. The estimated cost in my area would be between 25-50k. I am going to put French drains and a sump pump in my crawl space.

Thank you for your help

I am looking to put a humbucker in the bridge position of my strat. Any suggestions on what will give me the best balance? I’d like to have an EMG if possible. Would you recommend a coil tap pot?

Cakewalk and Addictive Drums

When I insert AD2 into CW x3 and selected use all tracks so I can separate the drums to different tracks it only loads 3 tracks in my track view. Anyone know of a cure? It works fine on my old PC and I tried to just save my old template and download it…it does work…

Any help would be appreciated…

Nantahala Lake Salmon

I’ve always heard about salmon fishing in Nantahala Lake. I have seen the Salmon run in the river. Have any of you ever fished in this lake? What were your biggest successes and what techniques worked best? Any advice on the times of year that are best? Any other good fishing in the lake for other species?

Crawl Space

My crawl space floods when the ground gets saturated with rain. I got an estimate on fixing the issue and it was 15k…includes sump pump, new vapor barrier, sealing vents, dehumidifier and French drains next to the footer around the entire crawl space. I can’t afford 15k and I want to do the work myself as much as possible. Can I do this in stages so I can pay as I go? Can someone outline the steps and be specific?

Do I need bio fabric in the French drains?
I can see the concrete footers…how deep do I dig beside them?
I feel stupid asking all this…your advice would be really appreciated.

AI analysis of phone calls required

I called my bank today and a disclaimer came on their automated message saying, “if you choose to speak to someone on our staff you automatically agree for this call to be recorded and analyzed by AI”.

I think this should be against the law…customers should not be required to agree to this or have the internet in order to participate in banking services. This is for the convenience of the bank and creates barriers to customer service.

Tracker Topper Build

I have a 2020 tracker topper 1436. I’ve built it for watershed fishing. I want to get an outboard for it and it is rated for up to a 15hp. I really want a 9.9 but I am concerned that since it is a riveted model a 4 stroke weighs too much. What are your thoughts?

Downsizing my recording gear

I’m going to retire very soon and I need to downsize my recording studio so it will be easy to travel. I’m going to keep an acoustic and electric guitar, an interface (though I’d like to downsize to a smaller one). I’d like to hear some opinions about what the best set up might be. I’ll be leaving in a tiny house or RV with not much room at all.

I am not a Mac or IPad fan.…especially the M series chips…I have owned both and sold them. would like to be able to use neural DSP and addictive drums of possible.

Any suggestions would really help…
