The "New Republic collapsed in 1 DAY" totally destroyed the ST's world building

TFA didn't start well and TLJ totally settled it.

Even the old Republic require Palpatine to take years to change it into the Empire. Even the Empire took the rebels years to take down.

New Republic died in 1 day, simply because a capital was destroyed? It's just super nonsense. And First Order didn't have the same level of intelligence/moff to manage the system.

We can also see how hard Disney tried to fill this hole in their new canon, like making the New Republic super bad and First Order already took a large chunk, but it didn't work. So overall, ST era was not expanded because it got little potential.

Even though the PT got many flaws, its world building was great.

Why did Disney/Lucasfilm allow 3 directors to handle ST without a real "overseer"?

Both the OT and the PT's story direction were fully under Lucas' control, while he didn't direct all of them.

MCU got Kevin Feige to oversee the production and has strict control over the direction.

LotR trilogy were handled by PJ. Godfather trilogy were all handled by the same director as well.

Why did Disney/Lucasfilm allow 3 directors with different style to do their own in a trilogy? Hiring JJ back to direct the last one made it worse because he got very limited time and had different idea. SW doesn't do reboot and need a coherent story. Either you need the same director to handle the trilogy or have someone to oversee and control the story direction. The project was doomed from the start.

Especially Star Wars' success got a lot to do with Lucas' direction control while he got his flaws.

Trying to make a more reasonable age setting for the characters

The Specters' age were fine, but Pandora's age brought a big plot hole. She didn't look like 3 years old at all 13 years earlier, set her age to 20 would solve the problem.

The Marine generals are also overall ok, maybe add 1-2 years, just Kraken Isaak should be 18-20 instead of just 14. He looks older than most of them.

God Warriors are also good while only a few of them were given clear age(Siegfried was 24, the twins are 23 and Fenrir was 19), but no way Hilda looks or behave like 16 only, change to 24 just like Siegfried.

The main problem mostly happen with the Bronze+ the gold saints and Saori due to the "14 years ago" event.

I think make the gap to 16 so Saori would be 16 when the story starts, remove the "they are all Kido's children" plot(the anime already did). Make Shun 15 and Ikki 17, the other Bronze can be 16.

Saga and Aiolos should be 16 when Saori was born(so Saga is 32-33 when the story starts). Shura also has to be 32-33 or him killing Aiolos makes no sense. The other gold saints' age could get like 4-5 years older as well.

Geist could get 1-2 years old and change her banishment time to 1-2 years.

What do you think about Ikki's mentor Guilty's influence on him?

I thought he was evil in my childhood, but after I grew up I found most of his teaching was right. You shouldn't have mercy against the enemy in most of the time.

His teaching also helped Ikki to grow a strong heart, not to back off against Shaka's overwhelming power or being deceived by illusion.

Also looks like even in the manga, he killed Esmeralda accidentally, not intentionally. Esmeralda was not his daughter in the manga.

Mime and his adopt father's relationship seems to mirror Ikki and his mentor's.

Anyone REALLY wish to see Portugal win today so we can very possible have a CR7 VS Messi WC game?

I like James as well, but I really wish Portugal to win today and meet Argentina in the 1/4 final. It would be super awesome to see CR7 finally meet Messi in WC knockout game. And this WC is their last dance, if we don't see it this time we won't ever see it again.

Even though they have past their prime it would still be super awesome to see it. I guess many ppl want to see it as well.

Who is your favorite villain?

Slayers did a very good job on villains overall.

I think as a villain, Hellmaster Fibrizo is the most menacing and scary one. He looks so cute but got such power, manipulation and sadistic nature. And to be fair he did show a little bit sympathetic traits in the end which led to TRY's theme.

Till this day he is one of the most memorable anime villains I've ever seen.

Others like Copy Rezo is also nice.

The redhead woman in NEXT is also very beautiful.

My headcanon for a long while, I think Zelgadis loves Sylphiel(anime)

The "girl" he had a crush on really looks and somehow behave like Sylphiel. In the end of NEXT he also lost his mind to charge when she "died".

They are around the same age and had more common language due to tragic past as well.

Why is Barca more popular than Real Madrid in the US?

Other than United, Barca is probably the most popular Europe team in the US. Especially so many US footballers are Barca fans, including most of the WNT players. I mean their playing style is obviously closer to Real Madrid than Barca's tiki taka.

Barca had their prime in 2011 but same as Real in 14-18. Ronaldo is also the top star of Nike as well.

I always feel weird about it because the US football's playing style and even kit color is more similar to Real.

We need a right midfielder, not a pure right winger

Even in the BBC era, we need Bale to track back and switch between 433 and 442. Much like Kvaratskhelia is doing now at PSG. Bale lost his starter place also because he could not defend that much after that injury.

Our 22 and 24 UCL wins are also done with Fede as the right midfielder.

Right now Mbappe and Vini couldn't do that much tracking back even if they are willing to. And TAA needs protection. We mostly need a right midfielder or some very hard working RW to maintain the balance.

Most of our recent(24-26) signings underperformed, we need to change this

Even though Mbappe got his own problem, no doubt he got the best performance among our recent signings. Most of our signings are good players, however we need to do more to let them fit in. That's why I'm not too eager when we got new players now.

The biggest problem is obviously that we need to rebuild the system to suit these players. They are different than Nacho, Mendy and Carvajal. You can't insert them into force them to play the same role or under the same tactics.

Other than injury(TAA), inconsistent environment also hurt the team a lot, especially the sacking of Xabi really hurt Huijsen and Carreras' performance. They are young and they need a stable environment to grow.

We can also compare to Barca recently, their new players aren't better than us, but under a stable system they did ok.

Bernardo Silva is quite different than Guler

I mean Guler is more like De Bruyne's role in City. Bernardo is more like a Isco type of player, good at dribbling and attack more than arrange attack play. I've heard he was used as a deeper role recently.

He was more similar to Brahim's role, or even Jude.

I think Jose bought him mostly to use his experience and a safe backup when building up the midfield. As a deeper role to help transition. If he is good then he is going to start a lot.

I think Guler also has the potential to be a good DLP, he just needs to build up experience on how to handle the ball in deep position. Same with Jude. He got amazing skill to hold up the ball but needs to learn not to hold the ball for too long.

What plot would be revealed had the 2002 series got 3 season?

She Ra and He Man fought together? I guess that's why they made Hordak so powerful. Maybe he would use Adora to unlock the seal?

Keldor revealed to be Randor's brother? I don't feel it to be necessary honestly. Evil Lyn probably turned good for once?

Teela got to know her mother and became the next sorceress? Her father revealed(Fisto or someone else)?

One thing to aware: Agent Mendes if Jose becomes our coach

Last time he gave us quite a few good players, but at the same time he used us to insert his players even to the youth team. It's like deal with the devil.

This time could it be the same? I checked neither of our 2 possible signings got him as the agent, but we could use him to get some good players while not let him get too involved with our squad. If I'm not wrong he is also Yamal's agent.

Looking back to last summer's signing, it's important to have a stable environment and build the system for the new players

TAA, Hujisen and Carreras are all good players despite their weakness.

Other than TAA got to do with injury, the other 2 obviously suffered from inconsistent tactic change and probably dressing room issue. Carreras obviously didn't play as well as his first half of the season. Overall they didn't perform as well as they could have been.

Even Mastantuno would have developed better with a stable environment.

Plot hole in Luke and Kylo Ren's flashback

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDYvG_P3MnU

It's entirely different!

In Kylo Ren's flashback, Luke looked so determined and DELIVERED the killing blow, so he had to defend himself. That makes Luke REALLY EVIL.

In Luke's flashback, he immediately realized his mistake and lowered down the lightsaber. You can also see his expression was struggling with tears. Not like what Kylo Ren's saw.

And Luke also said

But then I looked inside... and it was beyond what I ever imagined.

Snoke had already turned his heart.

Then why would Kylo Ren look so innocent? It was his own fault? And what heck was Luke doing, allowing Snoke to corrupt Ben whil mentoring him? Even Anakin wasn't pure evil in the beginning of EP3.

How should the club handle player-coach clash if it happens next season?

I think we should talk about it, since it affected 25-26 badly and it happens a lot in Jose's career. Especially since we need to build a new system now. Even someone so nice like Carlo had issue with Bayern players when they were trying to rebuild.

I think we need to support the coach during the season 100% unless the result is TOO bad, and wait to see when the season ends.

Punish the players if they openly do stupid things or fight in the dressing room.

Like 12-13, we let Jose do whatever he wants, but didn't sell Pepe or Casillas in 2013 summer.

Our defenders aren't that bad, but they don't fit the old lowblock system that much

TAA, Huijsen and Carreras are all good players. But they

TAA's size and defending is never top tier. Carreras is not Mendy as well. Huijsen is not as bulky as Rudiger.

But they got their own advantage, TAA has great passing and vision, his dribbling was ok. Carreras could hold the ball and dribble to provide attack. Huijsen got great vision and passing.

I think they all suit better for high press/possession football rather than sustain consistent attack from the deep. It's not like Barca, PSG or Bayern got great low block defenders as well, but their playing style greatly helped. Despite some signings needed, we need to rebuild our system.

Why didn't the club go tough on Vini since 2026 is the WC year?

Like United did to De Gea and tons of others, bench the player so he either has to renew contract or prepare to sit on the bench for long so they would be out of their form in WC.

I feel the club ended up with ruined the season and get both sides angry, still Vini hadn't renewed his contract yet. He obviously was waiting for the World Cup to attract better offer. They pretty much chose the worst way and could possibly get the worst result.

I still think the 2002 series is the best so far

Great and coherent plot, the introduction of King Hiss, menacing villains.

A lot of background lore, too bad it got cancelled before Hordak came back and She Ra's appearance.
