Wanting to find a remote position.

Hey all! I’m currently a middle school teacher on maternity leave with my first baby. She will be starting daycare in September, but I don’t want to return to brick and mortar. I still need to work, so I’m hoping to transition to a remote position for a little more work-life balance.

Here’s some info about my background to get some accurate advice. I have a bachelors degree in middle school education math and English. I have a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. I also have a doctoral degree in educational leadership. I have two teaching licenses one in Tennessee (math and English grades 6-8) and one in Kentucky (math and English grades 5-9). I taught math for one year and English for two years.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look or apply for jobs? It doesn’t even have to be a middle school position. I’m also open to colleges or universities even.

Lingerie Recommendations

Hey all! I have some lingerie but never really use it because it’s kind of a waste of time since my husband likes to get straight to business lol. However, I just had a baby and my hormones have been crazy and my back is breaking out so bad it looks absolutely terrible. I’m really self conscious about it and don’t like my husband seeing/feeling my bare back right now. I’m over six weeks pp, so sexy time is back on the table. I’m really nervous about him seeing/touching my back. Are there any lingerie recommendations that would make me feel a little better?

P.S. my husband knows about the bacne and literally does not care! He has told me it’s fine and not a big deal to him. It still bothers me and I just don’t want home seeing or feeling it.

Searching For Stalkings

This will be my daughters first Christmas and I want to find the perfect stocking. I’d like to find something similar to what my siblings and I had. We each had different stockings but they were so cute. They weren’t just plain stockings. They were each decorated. One looked like Santa Claus, one was a night scene with Santa going into a chimney, etc. and they all had our name on them. I’m not looking for an exact match of the ones we had, but I want something g cute with a similar vibe. I’d also like for it to be a pretty decent size. I’ve done some looking around, and I’m just not a fan of anything I’ve seen so far or it’s extremely small in size. Any suggestions on where to find what I’m looking for? TIA!!

New parents meal planning

My husband and I recently had a baby and have just been eating what we can when we can. We are finally starting to get into a routine with our baby and are wanting to start eating better. I think it’d be simpler to achieve this goal by weekly meal planning.

We’re not super picky eaters. For example, we like white fish, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, shrimp, crab, venison, and bison for types of meat and typically enjoy most fruits and veggies. Neither of us have any allergies.

We would both like to lose some weight as well. So looking for recipes that support this goal. We realize it takes more than a diet to achieve weight loss and are also incorporating lifestyle changes to support or goal.

Any suggestions on healthy meals that also don’t take to long to make? Although we’re getting into a a routine with our newborn, I also don’t want meals that take too much effort and time to prepare. Give me your best suggestions please! TIA!!

New Mom Wondering if Mini/Portable CPAP Is Worth It

Hello all! I have severe sleep apnea. I have been using a CPAP for almost two years now and feel like a completely different person. I had my first baby a little over a month ago, and I am now a new kind of tired lol.

I am wondering if there is a mini/portable machine that would be worth getting. This would mainly be for weekend/daytime visits to my parents and in-laws. It would be awesome to take a nap while at my parents and or in-laws house while the family plays with and watches the baby. I’m already taking naps when we go over, but I wake up feeling worse because I wasn’t using my machine.

I’m not going to pack up my whole machine every time we go somewhere, but it would be nice to take a nap and feel good after waking up. So I’m wondering, would it be worth it to purchase a portable one, or should I just keep roughing it with a CPAPless nap every now and then?

In Need of Diaper Bag Recommendations ASAP!!

Hello all, FTM here in need of a diaper bag! My little one is a little over a month old and as we’re starting to go out more, I’m realizing I am not a fan of our current diaper bag. It has one main zipper, a smaller zipper pouch up front, and two side pockets. I have realized I don’t like that it only has one big main pouch. Every time I need something out of her bag, I feel like I can’t get to it without first taking other items completely out of the bag and this really annoys me.

I’m thinking I would like a bag with multiple “main” compartments. For reference, my baby is formula fed (please no judgement here I had a really hard time coming to terms with it) so when we go out I always bring diapers, wipes, bottles, bottled water, formula, a change of clothes (maybe more depending on how long we’ll be out and about), burp cloths, a light baby blanket, pacifiers, and a mini first aid kit. I know it may seem like a bit of overkill, but I’m a firm believer in I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

With all of that being said, I’m looking for a bag with at least two “main” compartments although three would be ideal. My ideal would be to have diapers, wipes, etc in one compartment, then formula, bottles, and water in another, and clothes, burp cloths, blanket, first aid, etc in another compartment. Obviously this doesn’t have to be exact but this would be my current ideal status. I don’t care about cuteness of the bag as much as functionality of it. It doesn’t even necessarily have to be labeled as a “diaper bag” so if you know if anything that fits my criteria, please start dropping your recommendations! TIA!!

HELP… I need gift ideas!

My side of the family is really big on Christmas. My mom and aunt like to start buying presents early to help ease the cost so they’re not spending a ton of money all at once. They are already asking for lists from my family (me 27, husband 34, and daughter 6 months around Christmas time). My husband and I are really simple people. We have no idea what to ask for, nor know of anything we really want. Need suggestions asap! TIA!

Best coffee creamers for new coffee drinkers?!

I love the smell of coffee, but I have never really liked the taste. I’ve never really needed the extra caffeine so it’s never really been a problem. I recently had a baby and I’m trying to get into drinking coffee to help me stay awake. Any advice on how to make coffee more tasty? What’s the best creamer to use? TIA!
