My very first silver quarter found coin roll hunting. It’s not special, there’s no mint mark (because P), but I finally found one. 😊

EDIT: In my haste, I didn’t realize that the mint mark is on the back of these, so it’s a Denver. I’ll call myself green for you.

Haven’t found one of these before!

These calls are received daily, sometimes multiple a day. The voicemails are AI, and the number is spoofed - always different. So I report and delete… but I feel like I’m beating a dead horse. Of course I’m on the DNC list… but we all know that means very little. Anyone else seeing this lately?

Hook use #315

I got this knife from a gun and knife show/convention/whatever about a year ago and I believe it was used in either WW1 or WW2. 14 ½” long, it has several inscriptions which I’ve both taken photos of and have typed out.

On the leather, it says (top to bottom)

I can’t tell if there is a period/comma between the A and S on the first line as well as between the U and A on the last line. It may just be weathering/damage.

On the base of the actual blade, it says (top to bottom)

On the second side at the base of the blade, there’s a symbol which inside says

VIN lookup on NHTSA confirmed my suspicion. 2024 Sahara 4xe.

Widmer’s used to be amazing. Then Oxendale’s came in with their takeover… and it’s been downhill ever since. It started with replacing some great products with bargain-basement brands. Fast forward to now - most of their coolers and freezers are broken, some of which have been empty since last year. Almost no produce, can’t get a frozen pizza. No more propane. Absolutely cannot rely on walking in there to find what I need anymore.

So, I’m going to say a preemptive “Thank you very much” to Oxendale’s for completely ruining a good thing. You came in and sufficiently killed off a great little market. Maybe sell it off to someone who actually cares, because it really seems like you don’t.

I can’t see it lasting much longer. Sorry for the rant, but it makes me sad.

Hopefully Korte’s doesn’t suffer the same fate.
