Have the whole August off!

Have the whole August off, resigned at the end of July and starting my new job in September, so I can catch up on my gaming!

Finishing 007 First Light before Marvel’s Wolverine comes out. I personally do one game at a time.

I was thinking I was getting over gaming, to be honest. Then to realise I was just burnt out.

I finally finished Tears of the Kingdom today

This was honestly a lovely game. I enjoyed every moment playing it. I’ve been playing this game since I bought my Nintendo Switch 2, it was actually the first game I bought for it.

When I heard about the Ocarina of Time remake, I had to finish this before playing OOT remake.

Up next on payday, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Does any one own the dbrand KillSwitch for their Switch 2?

I’m genuinely thinking about getting it. I really love the Switch 2, but my gosh, it can make my hands cramp sometimes.

I’ve heard this is basically one of the best grips for the Switch 2. Is it actually worth it, especially if you play for long periods in handheld mode?

Unfortunately, it’s only available internationally and not in my country, so I’d have to pay in dollars and have it imported here to South Africa, which will make it a little pricey.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts or recommendation. I keep hearing that it’s one of the best grips and cases overall, especially if you’re looking for better ergonomics and protection in case you accidentally drop your Switch 2.

Lossless is actually good

I always wondered how to use lossless, I all I had to do was just plug a USB-C from my headphone to my phone?

It actually sounds much better to me personally.

I managed to snag them for half the price!

My Solo 3s were getting a bit old and broke, so I decided to switch to the Solo 4s.

Enjoying them a lot.

After owning these for almost a year. This is honestly the best shoe that ever happened to me.

I’ve never really understood the fuss about Birkenstock ls, to be honest. I only got to know them through European friends while studying at a Dutch university.

When I finally bought a pair, wow, they were so uncomfortable! But I was told to wear them every day to get used to them. Now, I wear them with everything, especially jeans and a button-up oxford shirt.

I’m also flat-footed, and I was told that Birkenstocks are great for people with flat feet. Ever since, I’ve noticed that I’m much more comfortable standing and even my posture has improved because the footbed perfectly fits my feet.

I used to be a hypebeast, always wearing Jordans, Yeezys slides and the like, but I don’t wear those anymore.

One thing I really don’t like about Birkenstocks is the price. I personally find them very expensive clogs. Luckily, every time I buy a pair, they’re 50% off.

Do you think they’ll finally put ProMotion on the iPad Air eventually?

Since the iPhone 17 Series launched with ProMotion displays (which are basically 120fps), I’ve been wondering if Apple will ever think about adding ProMotion to the iPad Air.

I was thinking of getting an iPad Pro just for the ProMotion, but with the price increases, I’ve been putting it off. I recently got an iPhone 17 Pro Max and I’m really enjoying how smooth the 120fps is.

I’m not in a hurry to buy a new iPad right now, but I’m definitely interested in getting an iPad Air because it’s significantly cheaper. Should I just wait until next year or two when the iPad Air hopefully gets it? Or honestly just get the iPad Pro?

Do these footprints mean my Birkenstocks have finally molded to my feet?

How’s it going, guys.

I bought these Birkenstock Arizona Birko-Flor sandals in December last year, and I’ve basically worn them every day since.

Before that, I wore Yeezy Slides (I was a hypebeast in my 20s—I’m not anymore!) and Havaianas flip-flops back in university. I eventually got tired of replacing them whenever they broke.

I’d always heard that Birkenstocks are incredibly comfortable and last for years, so I decided to give them a try. I’m also flat-footed, which made me even more curious about them.

I’ve attached a photo because I’m wondering about the footprints on the footbed. Do they indicate that the sandals are properly broken in? They’re noticeably more comfortable now than when I first bought them.

Since getting into Birkenstocks, I’ve already bought three pairs within a year, and I’m planning to add another two soon! They’re pretty much all I wear now. I don’t even wear my Jordans anymore—you could say I’m a retired sneakerhead.

Just curious if what I’m seeing is normal and whether it’s a sign that they’re fully broken in.

Appreciate people answering.

My parents surprised me with this souvenir from their overseas trip. ☺️

I know it’s a puzzle 🧩, and I genuinely wasn’t expecting this. To be honest, I don’t really enjoy puzzles, so I probably won’t build it. That said, I’ll definitely cherish it because it was such a thoughtful gift and display it on my shelf. I also didn’t know LEGO made puzzles! ☺️

A Kind of Review of the MacBook Neo

I'm an unapologetic Apple fan and love the ecosystem, but I eventually realised I didn't need every Apple device. I sold my 13-inch iPad Air with the Magic Keyboard, my Apple Watch Ultra, and my two HomePod minis.

Now I just use a MacBook Neo and an iPhone, and honestly, the MacBook Neo has been more than enough.

I'm a real estate agent, so my MacBook Neo is my main work machine. I use it every day for contracts, admin, prospecting, researching properties, emails, spreadsheets, and managing listings. It's fast, reliable, has excellent battery life, and macOS handles everything I need without slowing me down.

I'm also about to start using Pixelmator Pro on it. I've decided to stop hiring a photographer for every property because I can list up to four properties a week, and those costs add up quickly. Instead, I'm upgrading to an iPhone 17 Pro Max, taking my own property photos, and editing them on the MacBook Neo before uploading them to the property portals.

My iPhone is essential for cold calling, booking appointments, communicating with clients, and taking photos, while the MacBook Neo is where everything comes together. It fits my workflow perfectly.

Looking back, I realised I didn't need an iPad or an Apple Watch for my job. A good MacBook and an iPhone are all I really need, and the MacBook Neo has easily become one of the best work tools I've owned.

Is Pixelmator Pro beginner-friendly for real estate photography?

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well.

I'm a real estate agent, and up until now I've always hired a professional photographer for my property listings. Lately, though, I've been thinking about doing the photography myself. For apartments especially, hiring a photographer every time is starting to feel like an unnecessary expense.

I have a MacBook Neo that's compatible with Pixelmator Pro, and I'm planning to upgrade to an iPhone 17 Pro Max in the next couple of weeks, mainly for its camera quality.

My question is: Is Pixelmator Pro beginner-friendly?

I've never really edited photos before, but I'm willing to learn. My goal isn't to create magazine-quality or heavily edited images—I just want clean, natural, professional-looking photos that are good enough for real estate listings.

If anyone here uses Pixelmator Pro, I'd really appreciate any advice, beginner tips, or tutorials you recommend. Thanks!

Do you really need this?

I’ve been told to get a Pro Controller instead of using the Joy-Con Grip for my Switch 2, but I honestly don’t see the point for my own use case.

For context, I never owned the original Switch. I had a Switch Lite, so the Switch 2 is my first experience using detachable Joy-Cons and the Joy-Con Grip.

I’ve also never used a Pro Controller before, so I can’t really comment on the comfort. That said, I find the Joy-Con Grip perfectly comfortable. From what I’ve heard, the original Switch Joy-Con Grip was quite small and uncomfortable for some people, but the Switch 2 Joy-Cons are larger, and I’ve had no issues with them personally.

I also don’t think a Pro Controller is a necessity. The Joy-Con Grip does everything I need it to do, and I’ve never felt like I was missing out on anything.

On top of that, I rarely play in docked mode. I do occasionally, but most of my gaming is handheld. For me, buying a Pro Controller would probably be a waste of money when the Joy-Con Grip already works just fine.

Am I missing something, or is it really just a matter of personal preference?

For those with white HomePods, how do you keep them clean?

I’ve always wanted to upgrade my HomePod mini stereo pair to a set of HomePod (2nd generation) speakers. The main thing holding me back is the price. I could probably make it work financially, but I just don’t feel comfortable spending that much money. That’s just how I am.

I’ve always preferred the white HomePods aesthetically, but I’ve noticed they seem to show dirt and discoloration quite easily. Maybe it’s because I’m a bit particular about keeping things clean, but seeing dirt on white electronics—or even white clothing—really bothers me.

For those who own the white HomePod (2nd generation), how difficult are they to keep clean? Do you have any tips for cleaning and maintaining them over time?

I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks! 🙏🏽
