Okay here are the options:

A) His model is very old and needs change

B) Because he already has two boss fights

C) Because he is seen as monster and devs r also not into it because they used him for Sandrone and Columbina drip marketing(?)

D) Because he is not x.1 boss

E) Because he will come back and they will not - I say as they drag me back to asylum

And of course, comment for other options

I think her story was okay, just not my style because I have seen these stories before. I think her design arguments are just too much too..and unnecessary.

She has an understandable character but like I said it’s not very interesting story for me, Signora part makes it interesting though. Overall there are pros and cons about this story, depends on which way you choose to look at it.

I still haven’t decided whether I should pull for her or not after all this drama. What do you guys think?

I’ll start with Odette part.

1. Her lack of appreciation about Rosalyne: There is a saying in my country: I would be slave for forty years to anyone who taught me a letter. I’ve always cherished this saying in my life. I also had strict teachers and worked with people who drove me insane. But I’ve always appreciated and was happy with people who pushed my limits, because this saying came to my mind.

Some people don’t do it because they hate you. It’s indeed the way they understand and express, they actually improve you.

Sometimes it can be toxic and harmful for your mentality, yes. But I personally see worth in it. I would be sad if someone taught me ballet, and if Im currently make my living for this, and they are dead. I would really be sad and angry to person who killed them.
It feels like they didn’t even give this part properly. They just gave the classic boring story and done with it.

Side mention: Has anyone watched Kill Bill here? We know our lead character had a strict teacher. He was awesome. He taught her all the martial arts but was quite strict. Yet, she was quite mad when the other girl said she poisoned him. Because deep down she knew he was a good person! She hated him at times, yes! But deep down she loved him. And got her revenge. Cherished him in her mind. The movie was made in 2003 .d

(Yeah you might say but she caused killing of people, she did this etc. Bruh. Its not about that. People can become friends with a thief, with a gambler and still can think positive of them. That’s a reality of human emotions and seeing them in good light cause your perspective is different.

If you ask to the friend, or family member, what would they say? They would tell you complete different side of this person. They are not seeing a thief or gambler or whatever the world has seen.This happened many times and I’ve seen it in news before too. Same goes for Signora.)

Meanwhile, genshin story feels quite shallow in conveying emotions and Odette’s trailer is straight up Whiplash movie inspiration. Wow, congrats to the writer intern(?) for watching the movie I guess.

2. She seems to cant understand that Rosalyne is bad at showing emotions and have not been well - acts childish saying she doesn’t deserve her dancing .s

3. The problem is not even “not making sense”. Because if we think about it, she might see the things differently and feel that way about Signora, yes. But is it interesting? Nope. It feels like a writing came from an intern’s pen. Even I can write better than this, and most people in this sub or in fatui sub can. Most people already either thought of this or straightly predicted this writing. The problem is easy and predictable story in every character they give us.
   And this is not the first time genshin used this.

4. Killing is the right thing to do?
   I find the line about Signora highly problematic. Actually, considering game is 13+ (don’t understand why a gambling game is played by minors) they should change this, really.

No matter how bad a person is, unless it is self defense it is never righteous to kill. Even the people who kill completely vile people acknowledge this.

But in genshin, somehow traveler is right in everything they do. Even if it is taking a life, they are right regardless. just wow. Laws and constitutions in our world exists for a reason, no? I guess they never had to think about that.

And most importantly: hoyo trying to make money by bringing up their old character. They either make money by fatui connection (make characters fatui related) or by bringing up a dead harbringer. They keep baiting players like this, and it honestly is very tiring and boring at this point. I believe most people wanted the harbringers, not the random people we haven’t seen before. Imagine you’re a returning player to the game and see if anything has changed. You look at Snezhnaya art and Signora resurrection is not there nor top3 harbringers are existent. It is such a devastating look.

I don’t even have any expectations about Tsaritsa. They can write her the way they want, make connections, sob story is also there etc etc. Not a single thing until 7.4 interests me..

I’m not even getting into whole tea party retcon part, felt completely uncalled for and added insult to her injury. She literally said herself: “I never asked for redemption…never.”

But bumtraveler even said she didn’t have any last words and everything happened so fast??? and they proceed to lay with their next girl. Absolute worst.

Somehow with all the things they did they managed to do worse. How is that even possible? :D If she still becomes unplayable during Tevyat patches, I will genuinely laugh at this sht of a billion dollar company.

Also understandable their writing and everything went worse considering they make more and more games instead of fixing their single game which brings profits most.

I would never pull for tsaritsa and no amount of sob story can change my mind. Like she is such a hypocrite for many situations.

First, she probably married Tsar, made many children, incest or magic dont care really (probably they will make aether self inserts happy tbh), then moved to Snezhnaya.

She left Khaenriah to that mad king Irmin's hands? And she didn't know?
Khaenriah made mess with technology and improved so much to bring their own ends even though they gave them warnings? And at the end, abyss was involved and yeah she didn't see?

Tsar probably died because they also tried to do something similar. And because the nation is sealed with ice as punishment they what? Let's kill heavenly principles.

Fatui making countless bad deeds? And she is excused but Crucebana and Dottore are not? They claim to be "wronged" when they wronged countless people. I understand the people's anger, or not well psychology. But Tsaritsa as god actively helped them who should've known better as government/god, Pierro sent them to missions as well. They are the worst but we ignore cause???

Yeah meet -30 IQ Anastasya, who didn't see, didn't hear and didn't know. Pantalone even needed to explain her what Dottore did lmao (not 10 years, not 100 years but 500 years employee)

There are so many reasons for me to dislike her but not a single reason to like her.

- Also Traveler Arcana card is "The Fool" and Fatui also means "Fool". This shows there is something they don't know.

If you’ve seen recent leaks, they say Mitya is connected with sinners and it’s not Gold.

We know what kind of person Surtalogi is and story of Rerir.

Vedrfolnir seems to be lonely type of guy considering he has been seeing visions since he was child, and he is connected fully with Abyss.

That leaves Hroptatyr, who is other side of shade of reason.

Hroptatyr‘s other name is “the wise”, so maybe he taught Mitya about science.

If they are connected, I am absolutely pulling for him and his weapon

Childe said his lab is between Nod Krai and Snezhnaya. I was looking forward to explore it, but current Snezhnaya map connects Nod Krai to Snezhnaya and there is no sign of his lab. Nod Krai one was his research institute, but did they mean lab by that one? Still, Childe came from Snezhnaya and met around there with Arlecchino saying this? Idk

So I have some questions regarding game's stupid writing.

Why did dottore kill all of his segments?

I actually dislike the fact that original Dottore died long time ago, because its make Omega's decision of destroying all the other clone really dumb. Its logical for such smart character to have multiple backups but hoyo just simple remove anything like that, destroyed his segments literally so early, didn't create anything similar to them, then real Dottore already dead for centuries, and then all he got its to split himself on two, do some lmao and kick bucket twice in the same scenario everytime.

Hoyo really just set up Dottore to be a idiot of decade despite being a smartest character we see in the entire genshin, what a shame.

Why did dottore wait so long to do something in nod krai arc? I know very well Wanderer says he enjoys smth like that. But it doesnt make any sense for a clinical and observant man to just wait that long - surely he knows statistics.

If he wanted to die and was fine by it, why did he want to die in first place? Was he depressed like Pantalone - lol...nope. What do you guys think?

I dont believe in lizard or Escher theory btw. Please dont mention those - I already know and dont think they'll do that.All that long term Dottore buildup since 1.0… and it ends up like this? Absolute garbage.

We know Ronova will be enemy for a while and have boss fight. Then perhaps Capitano‘s curse will end and he will be playable.

If that happens, they have still unaddressed issue of pyro gnosis. If pyro gnosis is also taken by shade or sinner, its so over. Because for resurrection its needed after all imo.

Lets accept that Pantalone and Dottore’s fates seem heavily tied together. If Dottore comes back in a new region, with toned down(obviously will btw) character, he will definitely try returning Pantalone.

I think there will be longer time for Pantalone to die -turn back-get story(could get one before he dies too)-be playable.

Can his revival be like Rhinedottir situation? I mean, fusing with something powerful and becoming playable at the end.

An elemental dragon or a sinner taking interest in the situation. But this sinner or dragon must be weak - so they need some life source. Or perhaps their remaining power was around Irminsul, and they decided to use him.

After all, both of these groups have hatred towards the world. So, burning of Irminsul made them interested. They also saw Dottore's memories(he preserved after all) and decided to fuse with him at the end.

Or a primodial dragon remains fusing with him inside leylines perhaps.

Some people say him being traumatized will ruin his character - however it is clear that he is traumatized from the beginning of the game. Pale Flame artifact set already said he was chased by his village, and recently we learned he lost compassion at 8.

Actually, other harbingers got ruined - because there was no indication of them being traumatized whatsoever. I don't mind everyone getting sob stories though. I think main problem was failed retcon and huge hypocrisy without proper addressing.

Anyways, is it just me, I want his story to be extremely traumatic and as bad as possible?

Like born in rich family, in a mansion but staying on different wing, parents are mentally problematic, perhaps hostile half-sibling/s, servants looking down on him.

Later, family was perhaps associated with wrongdoings, everything was destroyed, he was chased from his own village. Exiled, and worked under harsh conditions to earn money but treated with ab/se and more.

In Akademiya, framed even though he tried to make everything according to rules. Sohreh was one of the only people who showed a good friendship, but she was killed. He was already selfish by that time, but never to the point of hurting still. Afterwards, it changed, didn't happen one night of course. Because his family also hurt him.

We also see segment 25 is very clinical.

Tsaritsa is hypocritical yes, and very human. Funny how she is a god, and gods we meet are having emotions but try so hard to look badass/composed.

After whole scapegoating Dottore part, I have no interest in fatuis anymore. Like the name suggests, they are all fools.

Primordial one actually did things to preserve Tevyat, and created humanity. Tsaritsa needs to get humbled.

I used to be big fan of Fatui. But the more days pass the more the characters got very hypocritical - like arlecchino getting whitewashed, sandrone becomes tsundere, columbina literally doing nothing and caring nothing fatui did but suddenly caring abt others

The most hypocritical place is coming..I have no pulling plans or interest, I guess I have to have fun with lore instead for motivation to play? I hope we have more Phanes lore, I'm very interested.

As you know, in Nod Krai, everyone was talking about how Dottore wanted to destroy nations, how every nation is going to die if Dottore achieved etc etc.

This is pure bait.

If Dottore wanted to destroy nations, he would be on abyss' side, learn abyss power, go Khaenriah and more. But we never see him using abyss power.

Also, Dottore could've killed traveler or make them sleep instantly just like he did in Sumeru archon quest in 3.3. He even said to Nahida "don't worry, I didn't kill them" back then.

But no, even if Traveler stabbed him, he didn't stab them back instantly, and even smirked slightly at this.(it could be amusement mixed with slight anger)

He could've killed Sandrone fully, make sure to destroy everything but no - because actually, he was feeling slight anger at Traveler, and wanted to hurt them back because traveler stabbed him - but Sandrone protected Traveler.

He is someone who lost his compassion at age 8, not born with lack of it. Obviously trauma response. His understanding of emotion is very lacking just like how he couldn't understand why Columbina left him.

He could've not put those moon slates to hide behind in his boss fight. He also rewards us with energy recharge..

He didn't mind dying and knew he was going to, didn't mind getting hurt and didn't mind hurting others - hurt people hurt.

Also, there is high chance Pierro and Tsaritsa know about this and used him - and he didn't mind at all.
