This is the worst feeling ever.

I figured out a way to maximise the war level/difficulty in Antistasi and dropped in for a little destroy helicopter mission. Nearby, there was a village with a rescue mission that spawned as well. I had a squad of 10 AI and myself. We drop in, clear out the helicopter crash site and destroy it, fend off an enemy wave of reinforcements.

Half my squad gets killed when 3 enemy fighters jets conduct a carpet bombing wave. But the rest are still alive. We hike over to the village, its full of enemy cops and soldiers, like maybe 30 of them. But they can't see it, so I slowly sneak up to the house where the hostage is being held. Just when I'm about to reach the house, we get detected. We get surrounded. I spend the next, what felt like 20 minutes just trying to survive enemy gunfire.

My recon drone detects an enemy tank on the way. I use my trusty airstrike mods (AAS and MDH CAS). They take a minute or two to arrive, but they swoop in and destroy the enemy inbound reinforcements and provide covering strafes while I get two of my guys up (because I don't know where the rest of my squad went down), while taking fire from more hostiles. As I get the guys up, they provide me with cover fire so I can keep healing my squad.

And then an assassination missions spawns on that same village. I call in an artillery strike to absolutely saturate the shit out of the village while storming the house with the hostage, making sure I reload before entering. That was a good call, because the house had an enemy marksman there waiting for me. He did not survive.

I rescue the hostage, call in an evacuation chopper. The artillery hits the village suppressing the hostiles just as the helicopter arrives.

But the helicopter gets hit! It's spinning out of control! I call in a second chopper while luckily does not get hurt. Me, the hostage, and 2 of my guys (out of a total of 10 in my squad) get in and get out.

As we get out, the enemy is sending in at least 6 more vehicles into the village. We got out just in time.

But I forgot to hit record.

RP Server/Communities Recommendations

I used to play a mod/video game called Discovery Freelancer back in the day which had a great RP community but it's quite dead nowadays because the game is extremely old. I did a quick AI search and it suggested there might be some in Space Engineers so I thought I'd come here and ask!

Other space/sci fi games with RP servers/communities

I used to play in Discovery Freelancer on and off for like a decade but I don't really want to go back there because last summer, I wasn't able to find anyone on the server to RP with in-game.

But I'm getting the RP itch. Anybody have any recommendations?

I've heard space engineers, elite dangerous and star citizen have some RP communities (off of AI search) but I don't know much else.

Playing ONLY for the story, not the combat. With a budget of $40, what ship/crew/skills etc. should I get to stomp my way through the story/campaign/quests?

Playing as a Romulan! I've reached the part where I have to speak to the Station Commander at Gasko Station so far.

Hi I'm a beginner. Which build has the best story for a beginner?

Don't care about the PvP, I'm just here to play for the story.

I started with human starfleet TNG/2409 story, but I'm wondering if there are other builds which have good stories too?

Or are they all the same and basically all about the Iconians coming back and following a similar "everybody is at war" story?

Please no spoilers, I haven't spoken to temporal agent crey yet after arriving at spacedock earth.

Science fiction geopolitical/spy thrillers audiobook recommendations please 🙏

I just binged the Interdependency trilogy. It was quite amazing, I couldn't get my headphones off because I just needed to know what happened next. I did this after binging DUST Chrysalis.

Since then I've tried the expanse, but I've seen 4-5 seasons of it so I can't bring myself to listen to the audiobook because I already know what happens. Can't bring myself to listen to five books first.

I've tried arkady martines memory called empire, but it focuses too much on culture and language. I stopped halfway through because it kept putting me to sleep.

I tried the first culture book. I've heard the first one is tough to get through but most of the rest are good. I stopped listening to the first culture book by Iain banks after 30 minutes though.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Are industrial/residential/commercial only regions a good idea?

I've tried city layouts

I'm wondering if I should switch to region layouts?

Like, what if I just surrounded a 4x4 tile with industrial and residential only 1x1 or 2x2 tiles, and then made the 4x4 tile a commercial only tile to get as many tall buildings as possible

Is that actually possible? is it a good idea or will my city fail?

Not great at this game (my commute time/residential income and environment ratings suck!), I don't play with any mods, but I play with unlimited money cheats on easy difficulty

I use Zeus and console commands to set the war level to 10, upgrade troops to level 20, give myself whatever equipment I want and just have huge battles with none of the grind

And it's quite fun.

Anyways I assume you guys know how to use Zeus and upgrade friendly AI.

The Antistasi (The Mod) devs kindly guided me to get this console command you can use to set the war level to whatever you want it to be.

[] spawn {

while {isNil "TAG_Exit"} do {

if (tierWar != 7) then {

tierWar = 7;

[] remoteExec ["A3A_fnc_statistics",[teamPlayer,civilian]];

};

sleep 1;

};

};

Copy and paste the bolded part into the debug console.

I have not tested it in Singleplayer but it works in Multiplayer so just use it in multiplayer mode.

I don't know if it works in Antistasi Ultimate but I mean, it theoretically should.

If it doesn't work for you, just go to the Antistasi (The Mod) discord and ask for help there.

Currently on 70mg elvanse, but felt better on 50mg. Can I return my dose and exchange it?

I don't even care if I won't get a refund. I felt so much better on 50mg I feel strongly it's the correct dosage for me. Should I wait to complete my current dosage? Is it even possible to return and exchange my dosage back to my old one? I did my assessment privately, not through the NHS. I'm getting my medication through a private clinic too.

Felt better on a lower dose

Hey everyone, I’m currently in titration and taking 70mg Elvanse, which is the UK name for Vyvanse. It’s the maximum prescribed dose here. I’ve previously tried 30mg and 50mg, and I’m starting to feel like 50mg may have been the better dose for me.

On 50mg, I honestly felt amazing. I was productive, more social, more myself, and found it easier to be funny and have a personality. I got back into the idea of starting a business and reduced how much I played video games. I did have a crash after lunch at first, but that seemed to improve over time, either because my body adjusted or because I changed my diet.

I still struggled with some addictive behaviours, mainly things like TikTok/internet use, not alcohol, drugs or cigarettes, but I recovered from them much faster. I also took 1–2 days off per week, and on those days I sometimes had nightmares and my emotional dysregulation came back. But the days I took 50mg were generally very good.

On 70mg, my sex drive has dropped a lot. Some days after work, especially after 12-hour shifts, I’ve felt so flat that I couldn’t even enjoy video games. It does seem to feel better if I take it several days in a row, and I’m becoming more productive over time. I also feel less vulnerable to addictive behaviours. But I don’t feel as mentally well or as “myself” as I did on 50mg.

I’ve also had a few moments where I struggled to understand what people were saying, almost like sudden brain fog or “dumbness”, which led to some angry reactions from others. Weirdly, though, I don’t seem to get nightmares on my days off anymore.

I’m torn because part of me thinks I should give 70mg more time for my body to adjust, but another part of me feels fairly sure that 50mg was the right dose because the benefits felt immediate and my mental health felt better.

Has anyone else increased dose during titration and then gone back down? Did lowering the dose feel worse at first, or was it clearly the right decision?

Opened PayPal in a different country 15 years ago. Never used it. Trying to set up a business now - having some difficulty.

Hi guys, I have ADHD so please bear with me.

A relative of mine wanted to send me some cash via paypal like 15 years ago when I was in university in Canada. I don't think I finished the account setup back then.

Since then, I've moved to a bunch of different countries. Now I'm living in the UK. I tried setting up PayPals in the past to start a business but I always ran into hurdles.

Anyways, I found out I have ADHD this year and I'm on medication which is helpful. I'm trying to set up a business again. I went through the PayPal customer service page. It seems I cannot close my account because of some limitations - PayPal asked me to submit a photo ID.

So I have, I submitted my passport pages. But the thing is I got my passport renewed in a diferent country, not in Canada where I lived 15 years ago.

Anyways I'm wondering if anyone else has gone through this process and what it looks like? PayPal said they'll get back to me in one business day. But honestly, IDK how many times I've tried setting up a PayPal so at this point I'm fully expecting to run into additional issues. So if anyone else has gone through this and can share with me what I should expect (even if its "stop overreacting everything will be fine"), then that would be helpful.

Thanks!

I started playing Arma 3 back in early 2023 so it's been 3 years and 5,000 hours so far. It was an incredibly rewarding but absolutely fucking frustrating experience.

And then I found out I have ADHD and got the help I needed. Now, I play the game less than I used to (like around 25% as much I used to) - But I'm enjoying it so much more!

Anyways, here are some mod recommendations - I don't know why most of these mods only have 4/5 stars on the workshop. They are honestly all 5 stars to me ~

Recommended Mods!

Honestly I think I just need to rant but I'm beyond irritated trying to find an EMDR provider that accepts BUPA insurance.

I started doing EMDR funding it out of my own pocket a few years ago. Immensely helpful. Eventually figured out I had ADHD. That was also immensely helpful.

Now I need to start it again. I'm one of those people who needs it for the rest of my life, at least twice a month. Otherwise some (though not all) the symptoms come back.

BUPA gave me a list. Like 80% of them didn't respond to my emails or calls or there are stupid technicalities like they aren't taking any new BUPA clients or they don't do in person EMDR or anything.

I checked google as well, find like 10 or 15 providers. Same thing. No response to emails. Beyond irritating. I'm so motherfucking pissed off at all this motherfucking shit. It's been fucking weeks. I'm literally paying for useless health insurance. Fucks sake.

My friend and I wanna go visit a Gurdwara in London this weekend, not to convert but just because we wanna have plans and something to do.

Is this ok? Should I reach out to the specific gurdwara to ask/does it just depends on the Gurdwara?

Friends and I are generally non religious

Just wanted to check before going (to not cause offense) since it's more of a day activity for us rather than a specific religious need or anything

While the landlord's company always fixes it the next day when I email, and then call and chase them to do something about it, it's becoming rediculous. The most recent incident occurred just now, literally 1 day after the landlord fixed it.

I've sent an email asking for a permanent solution and the reason for why it keeps happening since I've stayed here for a long time and it hasn't been an issue before.

I've checked my local council - they don't have an email address, only a telephone number. Sure I can call them but it would have been better if they had an email address in their contact us page as well. But they don't.

What are my rights? and what can I do about this?
