For the longest time I’ve had a hatred of the military and everything related to it. As a person, a Christian, a pacifist, and a Quaker it is antithetical to my being. However, I was talking to my girlfriend and she and I were discussing if we could be sympathetic to there individuals in the armed forces. I immediately said no because the industry disgusts me. Though as I’m considering it, if I believe we are all children of god can I not have sympathy for those I disagree with? She believes that I’m not taking into account nuances of individual situations in which people can be good people aside from their role in the military. I was curious what you guys thought
