Chapter 2 of this manga, and I'm already getting cold feet. I thought the premise seemed pretty similar to another Shounen romance that I had read before, "I'm in Love with the Older Girl Next Door", but I was wrong. Not to mention that one was a 3-year age gap, this one has a 5-year age gap. Like, what's the point of having an age gap (an especially large one) if the partner isn't at least more mature than their younger counterpart? Also, I just don't like it when the girl or the guy describes the person they are into as an idiot or dumb. Ruins it for me.

edit: (extra context) The unseriousness of the attempt has nothing to do with the method, like many are assuming. My thread really isn't that deep. I was referring to the lack of emotional buildup and the absurdity of seeing a character like Romi going through with something like that. If you surveyed the audience on chapter 44 and listed an S attempt as one of the possible events in chapter 45, 99% would not guess that it'd happen.

Cute 8-chapter story. I think it's a spinoff of another manhwa. But I liked it as a standalone.

Context: FMC is a perfectionist, wants to go to medical school, so she needs top scores. The guy (Seongbin) is a delinquent from a rich family who lk dgaf about anything. He became interested in her, so he used studying tg as an opportunity to get close to her. After all of that, they made plans to have dinner together. But he basically got stood up because she ran off to chase another guy (context: he has top grades). She didn't literally cancel their "dinner/date" but she looked sad that she'd have to go with him instead of staying with the other guy. So he canceled their dinner reservations and told her to go (she wasn't apologetic 😬). After that, he told her they didn't need to study tg anymore and kinda cut her off. Some time passes, and he locks in and scores 100 in every subject for the mock exams (he used to average 70). Basically, mogs tf out of the FMC that's only lived for studying up until that point. The cherry on top is that he just walks past her afterwards, lmao. Gotta give it to the author, they made me interested in reading a reverse harem. All the guys are interesting, and the FMC is not a Mary Sue. I recommend this manhwa 100% even if ur put off by the premise.

But, it's revealed in chapters 16-17 that she cheated on the male lead in her previous life?? Up until this point, the narrative made it look like she got kicked out for NO reason after her hubby died on the battlefield. But, now you want to tell me she actually got kicked out bc she was letting some other guy hit while dude was at war? Huh? Am I supposed to feel bad for her? Am I supposed to hope she gets a good ending in her "new life"/ "second chance"? I mean, I'll keep reading, but ts sours their relationship for me and the whole manhwa to an extent. Idk, maybe I've met my match in terms of romance manhwa, this might be my limit.
