Aka: three things that people keep bringing up over and over

I’m a Ben 10 fan so it’s always “Ben vs Hal sucked”, “Reboot bad”, and “Ben should’ve been with x y or z instead of Kai”

I was really hoping for so much more from this version of Peter just for him to get sidelined in favor of literally everyone else

For example: Why didn’t Matsumura just use his magic on Caiman, is he stupid?

This was one hell of a journey that I wasn’t expecting. I had seen videos of these games years ago when I was a kid and had no way of playing either, so this was amazing.

My thoughts on both:

Door to Phantomile:

- Gave me pretty much exactly what I was expecting from this game. Simple story, fun gameplay, oddly challenging at times but not too bad. Music was way better than I expected. Was not expecting such a sad ending though.

- Bosses were fun and decently challenging with Nahatomb, Baladium, and Ghadius being highlights. Least favorite was Joka, which is sad because he was the most entertaining villain next to Tat.

Lunatea’s Veil:

- Don’t take this the wrong way DTP fans, but I think this game improved on the first in every way.

- locations were more interesting and memorable.

- Not having to replay an entire level just to fight a boss I liked was one of the biggest pluses.

- Also think Leorina and Tat are overall better foils than Joka. I vastly prefer King Of Sorrow as an antagonist over Ghadius, though I think his fight was a little too easy.

- I prefer this design for Klonoa as well as his characterization. I feel his friendship with Lolo and Popka more than I did with Huepow.

All in all, I vastly enjoyed my time with both games and hope Bandai realize they’ve got something special with this series and continue it

Unnamed townsfolk: a bunch of other kids bully a little girl named Pudding who was born with a third eye in her forehead. They are shocked and scared when she crashes out and chases them with a knife
