I’m so squeamish all the time

After being on tirz since may, it’s been pretty great. Results are great. We all experience nausea and stuff from the tirz but my issue is like the weird squeamish gagging. Ever since I started tirz, I’m so squeamish. The tiniest bit of pink in my chicken makes me wanna gag. A tiny weird chunk in my protein smoothie makes me stop drinking it. If I’m eating yogurt and I feel the metallic taste of the metal spoon I immediately have to switch to plastic. I feel like a toddler. I’m being so picky and wish washy with food it’s weird. Sometimes random bites of food makes my stomach go weird. It’s not even nausea but I’ve become so squeamish. Even while taking out the trash or cleaning the toilet or scrubbing the shower or washing dishes, I’m constantly gagging and feeling icky. I don’t know why but anything and everything makes me so yuck now. The tiniest bit of fake blood or gore in a movie or video game has me dry heaving and feeling fuzzy. I don’t get it, can someone agree? Explain? Disagree? Help?

Mental health going down??

Hi everyone. I’ve been on tirz for 6 weeks. Weight loss is good. Food noise is good. Diet is good. Exercise is good. This medicine was one of the best investments ever made for my health. However, let’s talk side effects. We all know the usual side effects, being cold and nausea and so on. But my side effects are different. For me it’s my mental health.

I’ve been struggling with anxiety and depression for well over 12 years. After trying over 25 different medications and 8 types of therapists, I finally stabilized in Oct 2025. All is good. Everyday I write in my journal my daily feelings and experiences. It’s part of my therapy. However, here is where it went downhill. I started tirz in late May and on day 6 of my first dose of 2.5 tirz, I wrote down “wow today my food noise is gone, this medication is amazing.” Then on my very next line I wrote “my mental health has been absolute hell today, I’m not sure why”.

That’s my exact journal entry from that day. And the days after that have been the exact same. My point is, as soon as the tirz kicked in and took away my food noise, immediately at that exact moment, my depression and anxiety skyrocketed to new heights. Basically this medication is simultaneously fixing my relationship with food while absolutely ruining my mental health. It wasn’t just one day either. In the past six weeks of this medicine, my depression and anxiety have gone back to hellish levels, like it was before October 2025. Somehow someway this medicine is ruining my mental health. There has been no other change in my life whatsoever. Everything else is the exact same. All I know is that this glp is good for my body but bad for my mind. Do any of you relate? I asked my pysch and he said glp 1 has no major interaction with SSRIs. So I’m confused. Why do I feel this way? Can someone explain? Can you relate? What should I do?

What do women do?

Hi everyone. Like all of you, I am a massive sweater, but my question today is for women. Or anyone who wears makeup. Yesterday I was wearing sunscreen due to the massive heat wave. The immense sweat from my forehead and neck mixed with the sunscreen applied on my body and gave my skin a weird sticky crusty texture which felt so disgusting I wanted to scream. I had just showered 30 minutes ago too. So if excessive sweat ruins products applied to your skin, what do makeup wearers do? As a man I have massive forehead sweating. My forehead pours sweat like someone’s dropping little bits of water on my head and it’s falling down. So women who wear makeup; eyeliner foundation bronzer, when your face is sweating excessively, doesn’t it smudge your face and cause makeup to droop down like gloopy gray water? I had a cut on my forehead last month, I was applying the ointment the doctor gave me. The sweat mixed with the ointment and dripped down into my eyes, making them burn. The sweat also burned the wound on my head + it kept washing off the cream so the would took much longer to heal. So what do my fellow sweaty girlies do? Thanks.

99.99% of earbuds do not fit in my ear. Seriously. Other than the original Apple earbuds from 2009 ish; and the new ones from 2013, and the AirPods 1 from 2017

Other than that, none, none, NONE, fit in my ears for even a few seconds. Instant drop. Instant. Does anyone have any earbuds that are shaped like the apples ones that don’t suck in sound quality?

Everyone is beyond confused. I am beyond upset. Please.

Starting in February of 2026, my upper back and neck and chest area really started itching. I attributed it to dry skin due to the harsh winter. But unlike the rest of my body, the lotion wasn’t moisturizing. In mid April I went to the dermatologist and she said it was a massive fungal infection caused by Malessia yeast. She gave me ciclopirox for 2 weeks and keto shampoo. 2 weeks pass by, no improvement. I go back and she gives me 2 more weeks of ciclopirox, no improvement. I go to a different dermatologist and she gives me clomitrazole for 2 weeks no improvement. I go to a different dermatologist and she gives me micanazole for 2 weeks and more keto shampoo no improvement. I go to a different dermatologist’s and she gives me flucanzole for 3 weeks oral pill. No improvement. My back is itchy red scaly splotchy. When the medicine is applied I feel relief. But the moment the medicine wipes off due to sweat or the shower, instant burning itching starts again. It’s not eczema or psoriasis or anything else. They all say it’s fungal but it’s not leaving. What do I do?

Unfortunate side effects?

Hi lovely friends. Hi everyone. After about 5 weeks on tirz, the weight loss is great. No food noise is great. Working out is fine. I’m doing good physical health wise. But now I’m getting some side effects. We all know the usual side effects, like some constipation or feeling cold blah blah blah. But for me it’s mental. My anxiety and depression have SKYROCKETED since taking this medication. After YEARS AND YEARS of soooo many SSRIs and all types of therapy, I was stable and doing good for months, on the same medicine, on the same dose. I even write down how I’m feeling in my journal daily. And I started feeling significantly more depressed and significantly more anxious, the exact same day in which I wrote in my journal (today is day 5 of tirz and wow the food noise is gone, i don’t crave junk fried food anymore).

Any help? Any suggestions? My pysch said glp 1 and other GIP injections don’t have major interactions with SSRIs, nothing worry worthy. Google and Harvard university say the same. So uhhhh, can someone help? Explain? Relate? Anything? Please and thank you my friends.

DONT THROW IT OUT. STOP RIGHT NOW

STOP RIGHT THERE AND LISTEN

I made a post last week saying I couldn’t get the last few drops of TIRZ out of the bottom of the vial. I posted here and half told me to throw it out and the other half said to open the vial.

So I decided to open the vial and when I quickly used the needle to draw up the liquid, it drew up OVER 70 UNITS. I’m on 2.5mg a week. 25 units. The needle filled with over 70. That’s 3 extra weeks on 2.5. Do not throw that stuff out. DO NOT THROW IT OUT.

Here is how to open the vial, PLEASE READ

use one of those manual bottle beer cap openers. the handheld one, the one that looks like a shaving razor. A handle with a blade at the top. https://a.co/d/08wTDAWV

Like that.

Do it GENTLY and please wear glass cut proof gloves if you have them, it is not worth cutting your hand open. I used to work in an ER for 7 years and I seriously think we had 1000+ people come in with cuts on their fingers and hands due to trying too hard to open a glass bottle. They needed many many stitches and many months of recovery before their hands went back to normal. PLEASE BE SAFE AND CAUTIOUS. Don’t rush, it’s not worth 5 months of finger pain.

Dislike food in the moment but not after?

After about 6 weeks on tirzepatide, the medicine is really kicking in. It’s hard for me to eat. But I’m eating 5-6 really small meals throughout the day and I’m losing about 2 pounds per week. So far so good. However, when I sit down to eat, I don’t want to eat and feel nauseous but the moment I stop eating and get back to doing something else, then I crave food. It’s weird. Like a few bites of food are needed, and 15-20 minutes, to “wake up” my stomach. So I prepare dinner. Eat 2-3 bites, then I go and start folding my laundry and ironing my shirts for work tomorrow, then the hunger kicks in and I sit down and indulge in my dinner of ground beef broccolini asparagus with crisp roast potatoes.

Besides the weight, when will my health improve?

Hi everyone. After several weeks of tirzepatide and calorie deficit and working out, walking, jump rope, swimming I am down 19 pounds. However, my blood pressure and glucose is the exact same. When will they improve? I’m on week 6 of 2.5 mg. (After 4 weeks of 2.5 mg I was going to move onto 5 mg but I still had lots leftover in the bottle. I emailed the company and they said they always overfill it so we have extra so I stayed on 2.5 mg a week until it finishes. Then I will move to 5mg from the new bottle.) so when will my blood test results change? They’re still pretty bad

I have some leftover?

I am following the dosing schedule and today was my 4th week of 2.5mg. The schedule says starting next week I should inject 5 mg a week for 4 weeks and so on. But I still have some left in the first bottle labeled 2.5mg. I think I can do maybe 2 if not 3 more injections at 2.5 mg before the bottle finishes. What do I do? Just move on to the next dose and leave the leftover liquid in the fridge?

Pain?

After years of chronic fatigue, I got a sleep study done which showed severe sleep apnea. So they gave me a cpap and I was sleeping much better and feeling energized for the past 3 months. However; the intense fatigue has come back. Even with the cpap, when I wake up, I feel IMMENSE fatigue, like my whole body feels so achy like I got beat up while sleeping and I feel tender and injured as I get up. Then the feeling leaves after 2-3 minutes. Any advice on what this is?

Very small tube? What do I do? I’m so lost please help

My upper and middle back and neck has been itching so unbelievably bad for weeks. I spent over $500 on every skincare skin soothing product imaginable with no relief. I go to the dermatologist and she says I have a yeast infection so she prescribes me ciclopirox and desonide to apply to the area twice a day for 2 weeks and then a follow up in 3 weeks. The issue is, the tube she gave me was so small. Like a tiny tube of medication. The yeast infection was all over my back and even if I used a tinyyyy bit of medicine, the area on my back is so huge. The medicine has now run out and it’s only day 4. What do I do? I have no refills left either

I’m doing it wrong?

As a 5’9 220 pound man, who walks between 6-7 thousand steps a day, is 1900 calories too low? I feel as if 1900 is too high because if my maintenance is 2400 and my deficit is 1900, that should be enough.

I understand hunger is normal when dieting but I feel brain fog; lethargy; laziness; irritability and overall my body feels off, like moving is too difficult. There’s no way I need more than 2400 calories right? I’m just a regular guy, no way I need that much food

For example, let’s say 60 grams of cooked chicken breast is 100 calories. Let’s just assume that’s true. When I’m weighing my food, and I put 47-48 grams of chicken breast, I say, ok that’s fine, maybe there’s some oil or something inside the cooked breast that’s adding calories so 48 grams chicken breast is basically 60 grams and that’s 100 calories.

Am I underestimating my calorie requirements AND my food?

Many people in America cannot lose weight because they assume they need 2800-3000 calories and overestimate their exercise and underestimate their food. I don’t want to be that guy. So I overestimate my food and underestimate my exercise. Better safe than sorry right? Too low?

In my south Asian culture, we were taught that before cooking, you should soak your rice overnight in a bowl before cooking

Why is this? Is this the same as washing the rice before cooking? Whats the purpose? Do I still need to wash the rice again before cooking?

Did I take my first injection right

I took my first tirzepatide injection today

Out of the three boxes they sent me, I picked up the box that said

1 mL. MULTI-DOSE VIAL

10 mg/mL

I then used the syringe, I pulled back 10 units of air. I put the needle into the bottle (after thorough using alcohol swab on the top) and I pushed the 10 into the bottle. Then I flipped the bottle upside down and drew up 25 units of liquid. Then on my stomach, (which I used alcohol swab to clean and air dry) right next to my belly button, I slowly gripped the fat, and went in straight 90 degrees and injected. I waited a few seconds then I pulled the syringe back out.

Did I do everything right? My stomach has a HUGE amount of fat, I’m obese, will the medication be able to penetrate copious amounts of my fat?

Thanks

Pro tip: remove your butt hair before using a bidet. It cleans ten times faster + ten times better.

Many people often say, “I used the bidet for a full minute but when I grabbed toilet paper to pat myself dry, I was still seeing brown when I wipe.”

You simply have too much butt hair. The water from the bidet hits the butt hair and falls off. Remove your butt hair and the water will hit your hole, hard.

For example, if you’re applying shampoo to your hair, you turn on the water, the water hits your hair and falls off. You have to use your fingers to move the hair around so the water hits every crevice and removes all the sticky shampoo right?

Or if I’m applying gel to my hair, I don’t just slap the gel on the top of my head, the gel will create a sticky slop on my head. I use my fingers to move the hair around so the gel hits all the spots and styles my hair.

My point is, Hair does a VERY good job at warding off moisture and water. That’s it evolutionary purpose. To keep the skin dry. Unfortunately hair is also very good at holding clumps of poop and stopping the water from cleansing.

Do yourself a favor, remove your butt hair.
