On August 7 in 1990, Deee-Lite released their best known track Groove Is In The Heart.

Released a week earlier in the UK. I wish they had been bigger

Happy Birthday Help! 6 August 1965

Its easy to look past this one. But Yesterday isn't the most covered song ever for no reason

Happy Birthday Revolver! 5 August 1966

I remember Taxman as a kid (52 now) and being like, 'What is this?' In a good way. I Want To Tell You, She Said She Said, and Got To Get You Into My Life are favorites. Don't get me started on the genius of Tomorrow Never Knows

Happy Birthday The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn! 3 August 1967

Not Wish You Were Here,Dark Side or The Wall. But without this, those for certain wouldn't have happened. Give it a shot if you never have, especially Astronomy Domine, Matilda Mother, and Bike. And Lucifer Sam if you like cats.

Happy Birthday Who's Next! 2 August 1971

Their best work (even though Quadrophenia is solid gold).

Happy Birthday Who's Next! 2 August 1971

Their best work without a doubt (even though Quadrophenia is solid gold).

Has there ever been a better first three albums than this?

Happy Birthday Ride the Lightning. Seriously though, maybe Sabbath, maybe Aerosmith, maybe Van Halen. I think I'm going with these guys.

Happy Birthday Shades Of Deep Purple! 17 July 1968

A bit later in the UK for reasons. And The Address is another favorite of mine.

Maiden Tokyo 1981. One to pick up for sure!

So good. Side 4 is from the same show as the Maiden Japan EP (and an audience recording but still sounds wicked good overall), and Sides 1-3 is the complete soundboard show from the following night. Plus, it has a great label. The reality is that these fantastic shows,at least one from each tour anyway, should be officially released, and since they aren't, this especially is a fantastic alternative
