Your Top 3 Hikaru Songs

A question like this is more interesting with an artist like Ms. Hikki because her work is so diverse and versatile. I don't think there are clear favorites with the fanbase because of that and I love that. It's a testament of her insane talent as a writer and a musician.

Mine is:

Manatsu No Tooriame: One of my all time favorite songs by any artist. What a touching tribute to her late mother. It came out in a year of loss for me and it really helped me cope. I cried the first time I heard it even though I didn't know what she was saying in the lyrics until i read the translation later on but the feeling she conveyed reached me and touched me. Until this day when the first note of the bridge hits ( Kigi ga mebuku..) I get goosebumps all over my body. I'm forever thankful she gave us this intimate and personal song.

Heart Station: The theme of communication without even talking is one I understand and relate to. I've been there. She crafted an amazing atmosphere with the production. It's Tokyo, it's late at night, you're lonely, you're feeling wistful. She perfectly conveys that.

Colors: One of the best things about those artists who solely write their own music without help of other writers that write for many artists. Is that they write such unique songs you don't hear anywhere else. It's really hard to describe this song it's unlike anything ever. what a melody what a production.

What is your optimal archetype strategy? (20 hours in)

Man I feel kinda miffed and want to hear about your experiences. So initially I wanted each character to stick to their original archetype and only experiment with Will but now that I found out that archetypes max out very early. I’m starting to change it up for all characters but I dunno I hate that I’m starting dungeons with rank one archetypes. I understand that the hero incense items were probably created for that purpose. I’m about to start the Tomb dungeon and when equipping the merchant archetype I spammed hero incense and light leaf or whatever and i’m already at rank 8 before starting. But with how many archetypes and characters there is i’m not sure if it’s viable to do that always. I wanna hear how did you guys approach this.

I played two games this year where I had to escape through a monster’s butthole while they’re answering nature’s call

The other game is Dave the Diver. Such an interesting trend.

Unrelated: how do I get Gunner archetype? I assume it’s through Neuras. I talked to him many times but I still didn’t get the archetype.

Throwback: Science Fiction tour, Saitama Super Arena, July 25th 2024, aka the best birthday i’ve ever had (video taken by me look how close I was)😭

This was on my birthday and now this is my most cherished birthday memory ever. The tickets were lottery based so I applied for more than one date including my birthday. So that fact I actually won tickets and on my birthday is just so insane lol.

This was the weirdest most surreal experience ever. While the overseas fans lottery wasn’t perfect and really confusing but it was still better than the hassle non Japanese fans are used to when trying to purchase tickets for a Japanese concert.

The Show was fantastic. Ms. Hikki was such an electric live performer she really commanded that stage and had the audience in the palm of her hand. The audience was so polite they almost didn’t make a sound. Concerts in Japan should be the basis of a documentary it’s just a completely different experience than anything.

Naoe’s outfit looks so cool on Edward😍

One of my favorite main AC outfits. I think it looks better on Edward than the Altaïr and Connor’s outfits.

Pure bliss ✨

This moment in particular just filled me with immense joy. It was such an iconic set piece in Peter Pan and then they let you play it. It’s an aspect I love the most about KH.

I know that shit SLAPPED in UE5 but still please if anyone caught it in any of the videos I wanna see the potatoes.

Chapagetti with left over roasted chicken and veggies. Bowl too small for the egg lol

On weeknights I’m really not in the mood for chopping and sauteing. So when I found leftover roasted chicken and veggies in the fridge I thought to make this quick dinner. So so sooooo good. I promise to go to the Korean grocery store this weekend to get ingredients for proper jajangmyeon lol

Started playing Lost Odyssey a few days ago. The only time, other than with The Last of Us, that I've ever cried in a game in the first hour of playing it (bonus: xbox360 live login screen)

As for what made me cry. The very first dream with Hannah. It hit me like a fucking truck. I wasn't expecting it at all. If you know you know.

I'm already at disc 2. and for all intents and purposes this is Final Fantasy 11. I'm soaking up all the late sixth and early seventh gens vibes because there is nothing like it isn't there?

Everything is hitting me in the feels. The Story, the music, the towns and the characters. Seth is so warm, Jansen is funny, Kaim is standard stoic JRPG tank but he has a huge heart. Even though his personality shines in the dreams. But he is winning me over in his arc with his grandkids.

The battle system is really quirky to me so far. Like once you get the quirks you're okay for the most part (the wait time for spells, the ring system..etc)

However, not a criticism just an observation, I feel like they want you to do things a certain way. Whatever that way may be, but there isn't multiple ways to defeat bosses. Or let's say: you can't develop your own style in battle. You just figure out how the game wants you to fight and then stick to that. I would like to know what you guys think of that. Or is it just me?

Also I've never played a JRPG that incentivizes you to use items this much. I'm usually an item hoarder, so this was particularly hard for me lol. With this one you really have to make sure your stocks are stocking before fighting any boss. Literally the only way I found to beat Grilgan is through spamming bombs and the fight with the cavalry was only manageable through spamming healing items. As I said i'm just at the start of disc 2 so this might change or I might gain a deeper understanding for the nuances of the battle system that will change my experience with it.

Overall what a lovely game. I'm really savoring it because not many like it left for me <3

This made me so excited!!! I'm currently enjoying this new game. It's a first person shooter stylized as a cartoon from the 1930s. It's basically Bioshock meets Cuphead. This level was in movie studio. and You play in location stylized as a TR level with a boulder and collecting artifacts and placing them on their pedestals. It's when you learn the grappling hook ability. It's so so fun. and the TR mention is chef's kiss.

I'll link the video in the comments if you want to see it.
