Need advice on buying a bra/bralette discreetly

Yesterday I realized that I can’t really hide the fact that I have breasts anymore, and that’s becoming a pretty big problem because I have a party today.

I’m considering buying a bra, bralette, or something similar that might help make them less noticeable. I’m going with my niece, and she doesn’t know I’m transitioning. Pretty much no one else in my life knows either, so outside of my house I still present as a guy.

The problem is that I’ve never bought a bra before and I don’t even know what size I am. I have a lingerie store and a clothing store nearby, and I’m sure someone at the lingerie store could probably help me figure it out, but I feel really awkward about walking into one and asking for help with how I look rn.

Since I need something today, what would be the least awkward way to go about this? Is it worth buying a bra/bralette right now, or would it be better to just go without one and deal with feeling a little uncomfortable? Also, would a bra or bralette be noticeable through a shirt if I’m presenting as a guy?

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you all so much!

Beginner turntable setup, is this Argon Audio/DALI deal any good?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to get into vinyl and would like some advice on a good setup for a beginner. I’ve been looking online, but there are so many different options that I’m having a hard time figuring out what’s actually worth buying.

As far as I understand, I’ll need a turntable, speakers, and an amplifier (unless I go for active speakers).

I came across this bundle for €1,000:

  • Argon Audio TT MK2
  • DALI KUPID
  • Argon Audio SA2

Does this seem like a good deal for a first setup, or would you recommend putting together something different for around the same budget?

I’m mainly looking for good sound and something that’s easy to use, but I’d also like to leave some room to upgrade in the future.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thinking of detransitioning before my vacation, could use some advice

Heyyy,

I'm in a bit of a difficult spot right now, and I'm thinking about stopping estrogen for a while so I can really figure out whether I want to continue transitioning.

I've been on HRT for about 3 months now, and before that I had already done 2 months. I stopped in between so I could store semen. During those months off E, I felt really awful coming off estrogen and having testosterone come back, and I was really happy when I started E again. My dysphoria has always been there, and I think it probably always will be, but I don't know if transitioning is actually the right way for me to deal with it.

The thing is, I'm not sure I feel the same anymore. I think stopping for now might be the right option, not only to give myself time to think everything through, but also because I'm starting to develop noticeable breast growth. It's already pretty obvious to other people, and I'm hoping that if I stop now, maybe some of it will decrease a little or at least not progress further.

Now for the actual problem. Today is my injection day, and I haven't taken it yet. I'm leaving tomorrow for a week-long vacation, and because my HRT isn't prescribed by a doctor, I can't really take it with me.

So now I don't know what to do. Should I take today's injection so I don't end up dealing with mood swings or feeling awful during my vacation? Or should I just not take it if I'm thinking about stopping anyway? I also still have the birth control pills I originally used for DIY HRT, and I don't know if I should bring those with me just in case I start feeling really bad.

Does anyone have any advice or experience with something like this? All my trans friends are telling me to just keep going or that it's "only a week," but I honestly think I want to stop for now and take some time to think before making any long-term decisions.

Thank you all. ❤️

I’ve been getting messages form msverify and it’s annoying how to make it stop (screenshot included)

Hey y’all,

I’ve been getting a lot of messages from msverify and I can’t block or stop it. As far as I know I’ve checked all my Microsoft accounts and there is no activity or my phone number even being tied to the account.

This is probably a scam or just someone who accidentally used my phone number right. Is there anything I can do stop it?

Thank you all ❤️

Could I just be wrong about being trans?

I've had gender dysphoria since I was a child and was diagnosed later in life. I started medically transitioning about three months ago. I genuinely like the changes so far, and I've noticed that I feel much calmer and happier overall. Despite that, I keep getting this recurring thought that maybe I'm not actually trans and that I should just stop.

Today those thoughts hit especially hard. I went to a Renaissance fair with some friends. Walking around and browsing the stalls gave me pretty intense dysphoria. Because I'm not out publicly yet, I was wearing men's clothing, and I just felt like I couldn't buy anything I actually wanted because I looked like a man and everyone else would see me that way.

At the same time, though, I had a really good day. I had fun with my friends, enjoyed the fair, and even liked dressing up as a Viking. I found myself wanting to buy more things for my costume.

Now I'm left feeling confused. Part of me feels happier than I have in a long time since starting HRT, but another part keeps wondering if I've somehow convinced myself that I'm trans when I'm actually not.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal to have these kinds of doubts even when transitioning feels right overall? I honestly don't know what to think anymore.

How likely is a water-damaged iPhone to survive after a screen replacement, and is it worth repairing versus buying another phone?

My iPhone 14 Pro recently suffered water damage and the screen is now broken. The thing is, the phone itself still seems to be working. It charges, vibrates, makes sounds, and is recognized when connected to a computer. The only major issue right now is the display.

I opened the phone to inspect it and did see some corrosion, although I'm not an expert. I can replace the screen and battery myself for around €180.

My concern is that even if I replace the screen and get everything working again, there could be hidden water damage that causes the phone to fail weeks or months later. I don't want to spend €180 only to end up replacing the phone anyway.

As an alternative, I'm considering buying my sister's old iPhone 14 and replacing the battery, which would cost me about €300 total. I've also looked at some Android options around €400, such as the Pixel 9a, Motorola Edge 60 Pro, and Nothing Phone.

From a repair perspective, how risky is it to invest €180 into a water-damaged iPhone that otherwise appears to be functioning normally? Is there anything specific I should check internally before deciding whether the repair is worth it?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Repair my water-damaged iPhone 14 Pro or buy a €400 replacement?

Heyy yall,

I need a new phone because my iPhone 14 Pro has a broken screen and water damage. I've opened it up and could replace the screen and battery myself for about €180, but there's still a chance other components are damaged and it could fail later.

Because of that, I'm considering getting a temporary phone with a budget of around €400.

My current options are:

  • Buy my sister's old iPhone 14 and replace the battery (about €300 total)
  • Google Pixel 9a
  • Motorola Edge 60 Pro or Edge 70
  • Nothing Phone 4a

I'm also open to other suggestions.

What would you recommend in this situation? Would it make more sense to repair the 14 Pro, buy the iPhone 14, or go with one of the Android options?

Best adhesive for securing an iPhone 14 Pro screen without pentalobe screws?

Hey y'all,

Quick question what's a good adhesive for attaching an iPhone 14 Pro screen to the frame either permanently or at least very securely?

The reason I'm asking is that I can't get the pentalobe screws out of the phone. At this point, I'm considering just leaving the screws out, cutting off the small alignment pins, and gluing the screen in place.

Would the standard Apple screen adhesive be strong enough on its own, or are there other adhesives you'd recommend? I'm planning to replace the phone in about a year, but I don't have the budget for a new one right now, so I'm just looking for a reliable temporary repair.

Thanks!

Do I need a programmer (JCID V1SE as example) to change my iphone 14 pro's screen?

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to replace the screen on my iPhone 14 Pro because the display is completely dead from water damage. The phone itself still seems to work fine, the touchscreen responds and everything, I just can't see anything on the screen.

I bought an aftermarket LTPO OLED replacement screen and I'm getting ready to install it. While researching, I came across some posts mentioning that you need a programmer to transfer certain data from the original display if you want features like auto-brightness to keep working.

To be honest, I don't really mind losing a few features as long as the new screen works properly and I can keep using the phone for another year or so.

Has anyone here replaced an iPhone 14 Pro screen with an aftermarket display? Do I actually need a programmer, and what functionality would I lose if I skip that step?

Thanks in advance! ❤️

Also if needed I can post pictures of the inside

I (F26) met a really sweet guy (M26) online, but the relationship is becoming exhausting and scary, how do I deal with this?

I met a guy online a while ago who accepted me for who I am, and honestly he’s the first person who’s ever treated me this sweetly. I’ve never had a boyfriend before, so I don’t really know what’s normal in relationships.

At first, I loved talking to him, but over time he became really possessive. He wants my attention constantly, and if I don’t reply quickly he starts saying I hate him, blocked him, or don’t care about him. I have my own life, friends, family, and studies, and I can’t be available 24/7.

What makes it harder is that whenever we argue, or he gets upset, he guilt trips me and then asks for “sexy” pictures to make things okay again. Lately it’s started to feel like he mainly wants my body and lusts over me instead of actually caring about me as a person, and that feeling really hurts. It’s become emotionally exhausting.

Part of me feels bad even thinking about blocking him because I do care about him and I genuinely enjoy talking to him sometimes. But I’m also starting to feel scared. He owns guns, and sometimes he doesn’t seem mentally stable, which makes me nervous about upsetting him or cutting contact.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

Feeling really discouraged trying to make trans friends online

Every time I think I’ve finally met someone nice online who’s also trans and just wants to talk, it turns out they either aren’t actually trans or they only want things to turn sexual. It’s exhausting. I’m not looking for sexting or hookups, I just genuinely want friends I can relate to and talk with about life, experiences, or even just random everyday things.

It feels really discouraging when you open up to someone thinking you’ve found a safe connection, and then suddenly the conversation shifts into something sexual. I just want real friendships and people who actually understand what it’s like without expecting anything from me.

I know there are good people out there, but lately it’s been making me feel pretty hopeless about finding genuine connections online.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to make more friends?

Small red bumps on legs that won’t go away, what is it and how can I get them away

Hi everyone,

I’ve had these small red bumps on my legs for a while now and I can’t seem to get rid of them.

They’re mostly spread over both thighs/legs, and nowhere else.

I’m not sure what this could be. I don’t shave my legs but sometimes use some hair removal cream, has that something to do with it?

They aren’t painful but are itchy sometime, they’re persistent and make my skin look irritated. I’ve tried moisturizing but haven’t noticed much improvement.

Does this look familiar to anyone, and are there any treatments or products that helped you?

Thanks!
