Is Claude the best at brainstorming?

I've been using Claude more lately when I have a rough idea but don't really know what to do with it yet.

What I like is that I can throw a half-baked thought at it and keep going back and forth until the idea actually starts making sense. It feels more useful for exploring an idea than just asking for a finished answer.

That said I still find myself switching to ChatGPT or Gemini depending on what I'm working on.

For people who use multiple AI tools, which one do you actually prefer for brainstorming and coming up with ideas?

APIs finally made sense when I built a bot

I used to hear people talk about APIs and it always sounded more complicated than it actually was.

Then I made a small bot where a message came in, the bot sent it to an API, got the response and sent something back. That was basically the moment it clicked.

Now I look at different apps and immediately wonder whether there's an API I can connect to them with.

What was the first API you actually used in a project?

Maybe the next big AI feature is just better memory

I don't need my AI assistant to be dramatically smarter every month.

I'd honestly be happier if it just remembered what I was working on yesterday without making me explain everything again.

Imagine opening ChatGPT or Claude and it already knows your current project, your preferences and where you left off.

Would you trust an AI more if it remembered your context properly or would that make you uncomfortable from a privacy perspective?

DeepSeek makes me want to rebuild one of my bots

I have a small bot project that I've been meaning to rebuild and DeepSeek V4 is making me want to finally do it. What interests me isn't really the chatbot. It's the API side. V4 Flash and Pro support tool calls and a huge context window, which opens up much more interesting stuff for agents and automation

I'm thinking something simple first Telegram bot, a couple of APIs and maybe some web data

For anyone building with DeepSeek right now what are you actually making with it?

Gemini 3.7 Flash is making the next Pro model look scary

Honestly I wasn't expecting 3.7 Flash to get this much attention this quickly.

I've been seeing people test it for coding and agent workflows and the speed + quality combination looks pretty crazy. It's still early so I'm not ready to call it the best model out there but this feels like a pretty serious jump for a Flash model.

Now I'm actually more interested in what Google does with the next Pro model. If Flash is already this capable then the higher end model could be interesting.

Has anyone here actually tested 3.7 Flash yet? What's your first impression?

I think I'm becoming too dependent on Claude

I noticed this while coding last night. I had a small problem and my first reaction wasn't even to debug it myself. I immediately opened Claude and started explaining what was wrong It solved the problem pretty quickly but then I had this weird thought that I probably could have figured it out myself if I'd spent another 20 minutes on it.

AI makes me faster but sometimes I wonder if I'm trading away the part where you actually struggle and learn something.

Has anyone else noticed themselves becoming dependent on AI for problems they used to solve alone?

TikTok gets the views Instagram gets the followers YouTube gets the loyal audience?

I've noticed my behavior is completely different on each platform TikTok is where I discover random creators and somehow spend 40 minutes watching things I never searched for Instagram is where I usually follow people after seeing them a few times.

YouTube is different though. If I actually like someone's content there I'm much more likely to keep watching them for months.

It makes me wonder if creators should even be trying to grow the same way on every platform If you had to build an audience on only one right now would you pick TikTok Instagram or YouTube?

What is happening to Twitch? It’s literally getting unwatchable

The platform keeps getting worse every single month. I opened it up yesterday (even tho I knew what was waiting for me) during lunch break and got hit with literally 4 ads in the first 10 minutes. FOUR. And they were all 30+ seconds so couldn't skip any of them. By the time the ads finished I completely lost track of what was happening before so I just closed it.

The worst part is half these 'top streamers' don't even deserve the views they're getting. There's streamers with thousands of viewers who'll spend 3 hours just eating on camera and checking their phone. Meanwhile there are so many talented streamers that are stuck with low viewers because the algorithm doesn't push him. Keep in mind that most of the top streamers are literally botting and twitch just doesnt give a single fuck (even with the recent scandal where they were sending gifted subs to literal bots instead of humans)

And then there's the moderation where popular female streamers can basically wear lingerie and call it "just chatting" content but god forbid a small male streamer makes one edgy joke and he's banned for a month (for example Mizkif who was banned and then there's Hasan who can say whatever he wants to say and still wont get banned which is insane). No offense to any of these streamers its just that the double standard is horrible and its slowly killing the platform.
I used to love discovering new streamers and just chatting but now it just feels like a shitshow. Anyone else completely over it at this point? I still love twitch but its just that I dont see me using it anytime soon if things dont change

What's the smartest bot you've seen someone build?

Not the biggest.

Not the most expensive.

Just something that made you stop and think, "That's actually a clever idea."

Could be for Discord, Telegram, Instagram, web scraping, or anything else.

What's the coolest one you've come across?
