Guess I know what I'm doing on Saturday night! Never been to Yankee Stadium before, should be fun.

When I moved to LA in 4th grade (1997), I wasn't much of a baseball fan. I loved sports though, so I watched whatever was on TV. I became a Dodgers fan *because* of Vin Scully. We all know what an incredible experience it was to hear Vin tell stories and call the games.

When I moved to the east coast 15 years ago, I kept following from a distance but stopped watching the games regularly. Recently I got an MLB TV package and I've been watching the team a lot more this year.

I just want to say that I love the Dodgers broadcasters. The rotation of different teams keeps it interesting, and they're all great. The Dodgers had an impossible task when they had to replace Vin Scully, but I think they've hit it out of the park.

Why do NHL teams keep hiring the same guys to be head coaches? Surely there are more than 35 people in the entire world who are qualified to be an NHL head coach. I get experience is valued, but nobody new will ever gain experience if there's more effective turnover in the US Senate than in the ranks of NHL head coaches.

I've been a Pixel user since the original came out. I currently have a Pixel 9. I've also got a Pixel Watch 3, Nest Hub, a couple Nest/Home mini speakers, and two pairs of Pixel Buds (Pro + A-Series).

My devices used to work together. If I started a timer on my nest hub, I could see and control it from my phone. If I said "Hey Google" in my kitchen (where the Nest Hub is located), only the Nest Hub would respond. If I was listening to my Pixel Buds on my phone and switched to my tablet, the Pixel Buds would automatically switch.

Now, when I start a timer on the nest hub or other home devices, it doesn't show up on my phone. When I say "Hey Google" in range of one of my Home devices, both the Pixel and Home devices respond, resulting in redundant timers being set or items being added to a list twice, etc. When I switch from phone to tablet, I have to manually reconnect my Pixel Buds.

I've also noticed that when I try to use Gemini from my phone to control home devices, it sometimes will tell me "I can't control home devices" but then I use the same command with my Nest Hub and it works. (Yes, I have Home turned on under connected apps.)

Many other examples of this, but these are the most common/frustrating. What the hell is going on and how do I fix this!?

Recently, YouTube's algorithm started suggesting a video about two people racing to touch two oceans. I eventually relented and watched the video, and now YouTube won't stop pushing the channel to me.

I call it Temu Jet Lag. (I am not going to name this channel, I'm sure you can find it if you want to.) It's a complete ripoff of JLTG, except the contestants are completely clueless and the rules are mere "concepts of a plan."

These people piss me off so much. I honestly can't tell if it's rage bait or they genuinely are as stupid as they appear.

Anyway, very much looking forward to another season of the real thing soon.

Edited to add that I enjoy goodJet Lag ripoffs. This isn't one of them.

I live in Baltimore but frequently visit DC because I crave the vibes of a proper city. Recently I've been hearing a lot of buzz about Andy's Pizza. I'll be back in the District this weekend and want to give it a try. For those in the know: does it live up to the hype? Is there something specific they're known for that I should try? I know there are multiple locations; is one better than any of the others? Anything else I should know before I go? Thanks in advance.
