Brush head alternatives to Miele's TurboTeq?

I have a C1 Classic, been great so far. Our home is all hard floors but we have added rugs, for which I need a motorized nozzle solution. I've considered buying another vacuum, maybe a stick style one for space reasons (very few (actually zero) closets, house built in 1918)

Anyway, anyone have any experience with cheap knock-off alternatives to Miele's TurboTeq head? Its $150, which is pretty outrageous for just a brush head....Amazon has the typical unbranded Chinese knock offs for under $50. Worth it to try these? I assume they are garbage, and I'd hate to try one only to resort to buying the turboteq afterall.

Since buying the C1 we also adopted 3 cats (yes we are crazy), from which hair is starting to really accumulate.

Unfrosted Sour Cream Donuts... Where are they?

So back in the day Dunkin donuts used to sell unfrosted sour cream donuts, and now if they do have them they tend to be frosted.

Anyone have any good recs? Especially in northeast Philly/lower bucks county

Also the flair choices gave me pause... Are donuts considered dessert? I don't think so. But they kinda are dessert type food.

Porting Out of Boost

I just got my Port out PIN and wanted to make a post to provide some more recent information on my experience. When I searched for info on this I could only find posts from years ago, the most recent being last year.

Process took about 10 minutes including hold time, they only asked for my PIN and the last 4 of my phone number. I was not transferred around; the first person I spoke with helped me. They offered a discount to stay but I had already purchased my new plan with Mint and so it was too late for me. When I said that, the rep proceeded with my Port Out PIN without further questions/hassle.

Overall my experience was much better than those I'd read about prior to calling. While I'd prefer being able to get the port out PIN online, Boost made it easy to do on the phone.

Hoping my service with Mint is just as good, my wife's phone (Comcast is her provider...ugh) doesn't work in our house so I'm hoping Mint is better. If not, I'll be back to Boost in 6 months lol

New customer, having problems

Hi all. Hopefully this post doesn't violate any rules and isn't stupid...I placed an order on Thursday last week for a 12 month plan and a Pixel 10.

Still today the Mint website has no information on my order. The label was created on Thursday but they've not given fedex the package.

I called customer service they said the warehouse people don't work weekends and they need 48 hours to process orders. They promised it'll ship today but that means it's almost a week since placing my order. I kinda find that atrocious in 2026. I suppose I should be grateful that my phone that broke is still usable or this would have been a much bigger mistake to go with Mint.

Am I off base in being unhappy? It's 5days later and still no information on my order. I spent almost 400 ao I'm kinda getting pissed.

In Need of Breakfast Sandwich or Burrito in the Far NE

Hey everyone. I'm sick and tired of Wawa and Manhattan Bagel. Google searches have turned up very few options. I work near the NE Airport, and I've found excellent options for almost every food type within about 15 minutes of the Airport, but not breakfast.

So I need your advice on where to find a nice, not-corporate breakfast take out options, bonus points for breakfast burritos.

Cam I fix this Pixel 7 pro screen myself?

Hi

I've had this phone for 4 months, got it from a reseller on ebay so I cannot return it. The white line appeared suddenly one day. I had the screen replaced with an aftermarket screen (that has the fingerprint sensor) but 2 days later it reappeared randomly.

The guy at the store that replaced the screen told me I could try another screen but it'd probably happen again and that I must have hit the screen on something. I know for 100% certain that's not what happened bc the second time the line appeared I was literally looking at the phone whole taking a shit.

Anyways, if i get repair tools, is this something I can fix? Do I need a new screen regardless? I saw someone say this happens due to some kind of pin touching the backside of the screen, is that whats happening?

How would you roof this little porch?

Hi everyone, sorry to post this here, I cannot seem to gain any traction elsewhere like r/DIY. If you know of a better place for me to post this please let me know.

This thing is 83x55". The 2 cross members are flat. This existed when I bought the place and I just want to add a roof for shade.

I'm thinking corrugated metal roof panels, using the plastic groove set *thing* to attach to the roof. I'm thrown off by the fact that the cross members are flat, in my head this creates an odd angle for which to fasten the panels down to the plastic groove things. I would use flashing to attach to the house however I'm not convinced it's strictly necessary given the soffit overhang above and how close the panel would be to the house (under an inch). I'll use a drip plate and add a gutter if needed down the road.

Do you think I'm on the right track? Anything I'm not considering, like would plastic panels be better or should I look into using plywood/shingles instead?

Thanks in advance

Need help troubleshooting Moiswell MP145

Hi everyone. I recently purchased and tried to use a new in box Moiswell MP145 I bought on Facebook Marketplace. I opened it, set it on my workbench for about 3 weeks, finally went to set it up and turn it on yesterday.

The only movement it had since opening it was to move it from the workbench to the floor. It stayed flat, maybe it tilted a degree or 2 as I moved it.

When I turn it on, the readings are at first realistic. They match the cheap hydrometer from amazon I have been using to monitor the basement temp/humidity. After a few minutes the temp goes all the way up to 99 and the humidity sits at 28. If I set the goal humidity level to under 28 the unit will run, but given the temp readings I haven't let it run long.

When I open the back the filter is brand new and seems to be seated right. I can't see any issues with the humidity sensor but I haven't taken it out or anything. The tube from the pump outlet is not kinked, just in case that might be a question.

I'm waiting for their support to get back to me but I figured I'd try reddit and see if anyone can rescue me

Thanks all have a great day

Got her on Sunday, meet Marge

Our first cats!

Marge is short for Marguerite, she is 7 months old and is polydactyl

Her left eye has been producing tears but the eye doesn't look inflamed or irritated. Is that normal for new cats? We haven't gone to the vet yet as these girls are still settling in.

We got 2 cats on Sunday, the other one is Jasmine and she is just over 2 years old. Jasmine doesn't abide Marge yet, she hisses and swats if she approaches but ears are up, not airplanes, and they aren't fighting. They eat and use litter box in front of each other but we keep them in separate rooms at night.

Couple photos of Jasmine at the end but she is still a lil scared so not allowing many good photos :)

Looking for a place to donate leftover Rx Dog food (kidney formula)

Hi everyone. I did some light googling but was finding a ton of places that don't want to take Rx dog food. I have a full case (3 pallets) of Science Diet k/d formula for dogs leftover from our dog Lilly who passed away about 2 months ago. The closer to Lower Bucks like Croydon the better.

This food is expensive and I want to ensure its not just thrown away. I hesitate to just give it to a person because the food is Rx food and that seems maybe like a bad idea.

Thanks in advance.

Level 2 Car Charger Install

Hey everyone. I have a Honda Clarity plug in hybrid I need to get a charger installed for. For my next car (maybe 3-4 years from now) I want a full EV so I am planning on future proofing this install a bit.

I've gotten 1 quote, I will get 2 more at least, but the first quote was $3,600 and that is with me digging the trench. So I'd like to purchase all the equipment myself, do most of the work and just get an electrician to do the final hook ups.

Quick rundown of the specifics;

Breaker panel at front of house, parking area out back. Cable run is about 80 feet, about 50 feet of which is in my basement, about 30 feet will need to be underground thru my backyard. I want to run regular outlets back there to eliminate need to run extension cord to the driveway to vacuum, have lights, etc. I have a fence I could attach the receptacle to but I plan to probably install a dedicated post (I haven't decided this yet). I will dig a 2 foot trench from back of house through the backyard and to the fence line.

How far from the house should the trench start? I'm envisioning about 6 inches to a foot? I don't want to end up with the trench machine contacting the foundation. This is the main area where I'm doubtful of placement, strategy, etc. I'm not sure if this matters, but once the trench is dug and the cable laid, I plan on fully re-grading the yard and replanting it.

Materials needed (purpose of this post is mainly to confirm I have found the correct materials for this project);

Plastic conduit to run cables through (same conduit for both cables OK?) something like this: 1-1/2 in. x 50 ft. Ultratite Liquidtight Flexible Non-Metallic PVC Conduit

Cable: 6-3 Copper UF-B Underground Feeder and Branch Circuit Cable - Cable Cabana

Outside transition box, will this work:Topaz | 1165 | 1165 or do I need something like this Cantex Weatherproof Electrical Box, 35.3 cu in, FSCC Box Type, 2 Gangs, PVC, Rectangular Shape 5133402 | Zoro

receptacle: I tried finding one with a NEMA 14-50 connection as well as regular outlet but could not. I would get something like this VEVOR 50 Amp RV Power Outlet Box, 125/250 Volt, Enclosed Lockable Outdoor RV Receptacle Box, NEMA 14-50R Weatherproof Electrical Panel, for RV Camper Trailer Motorhome | VEVOR US and a regular outlet one and just put them on the same post

This is the estimate I got, I know I don't have the breaker panel pieces listed, I may defer to electrician for that part too because its a little confusing;
