Would my personality suit a career in HR?

- I’m a huge people person, nothing energises me more than human interaction

- I get bored easily and I hate repetitive tasks

- I’m very sensitive and take criticism to heart, although this is improving a lot with age!

- I have very strong empathy which makes me have REALLY good people’s skills, but i also had to leave a career in healthcare because I just couldn't take it

- I love public speaking

- I’m not particularly ambitious, but when I’m passionate about something, I work hard at it

- I’ve had the tendency to be a bit disorganised and flakey in the past, but again, this is improving with age ( I’m in my early 20s)

- I know mbti isn’t perfect, but if it helps, I’m an ENFP 4w3

How’s WSU Online?

I’m in my mid 20s and I’m about to enrol in an online business course because I also work full time.

Does anyone have any experiences with WSU online?

If you have successfully made new and fulfilling friendships in your 20s (or 30s and 40s), how did you do it?

I would love ideas about what has worked for other people when it comes to making to making not just new friendships but making fulfilling friendships!

I live in the same big city I grew up in but I have virtually no friends from school/university!

I'd love to have a list to actions I can take so I stop feeling hopeless lol

Career change to Human Resources?

I'm in the midst of a career change and I'm considering between teaching and human resources, and I'm heavily leaning towards human resources.

This is because in the past, I've enjoyed working with adults over children, there's the opportunity to work hybrid/remotely and ultimately, there's higher pay.

Do any ENFPs have experience in human resources and share your experience about what it's like having our kind of personality HR?

Be honest: are you really happier living abroad than in India?

I’m 23 living in australia and my parents immigrated here from india back in 2005. I grew up here and I have a good life. But something that's been on my mind is that I don't think my level of happiness would be much higher or lower if my parents never immigrated.

Everywhere I look on social media all I see is this desperate push from young Indians saying, "If you live in India, move out now." It feels like almost every Indian person I know online or back home is completely hates the country.

I feel like india has so much to offer. India is so full of life and culture and it makes me sad to see young people not appreciate what's good about the country.

As someone who can see both sides, I saw my parents struggle for years when we first arrived and we had no money for at least 5 years. Today, I see new immigrants arriving in in a foreign country and all they talk about is how much they love it. How good the air is, how good the streets are, but I know for a fact that australia is facing a rental crisis, they likely work exhausting shifts and likely feel very lonely.

Yet, their social media is perfect. No one ever mentions their struggles. They just pretend they are extremely happy to be abroad.

Is moving abroad 99% just a social status thing? It feels like people are terrified to admit defeat because moving abroad seems like the easiest way to gain social status....

I know I'm privileged, my parents were upper middle class before they left. But because of this, I have a strong feeling I would've been happy growing up in India as I am here. According to my cousins, they say I would've had a better life growing up in india lol

The only thing I completely understand as a non negotiable reason to leave is women's safety.

But for everything else feels like false hope and as someone who can see both sides, Indian people's desperation to leave india is so frustrating

Be honest, are people who moved actually happier?

Are there hybrid/WFH options in HR in Australia?

At each level? From entry level to manager positions?

And are they common/standard? Or are they hard to find?

If you're in a genuine hybrid/WFH (0-3 days in the office) role, what profession are you in?

I know someone who was advertised a hybrid position, but because of work culture, she goes into the office 5 days a week.

If you're in a genuine hybrid role and it doesn't hinder your career progression, what's your profession?

What would you do if you were me and looking to get into HR?

I'm 23 and I dropped out of a health degree when I was 20. Since then, I've either being working in retail or have been self-employed.

Right now, I do think I'll be able to get an entry level recruitment job but I have no clue where to go from there.

I don't know if I should work full time and do a bachelor's degree part time.

Or I could do a Cert IV part time, but I don't know if a cert without a degree will help me in my career.

Or I could study full time and continue working in hospitality/retail.

Which one would you suggest would be fastest to get me to my goal?

Is a degree necessary for HR/talent acquisition?

I would love to start a HR/talent acquisition entry level role but I dropped out of a health degree years ago.

I have customer service experience and I’ve been self employed for almost 3 years where I developed a lot of sales and marketing skills.

I’m pretty sure entry level positions are possible to get without a degree, is career progression possible?

I made a "burner" Instagram with a new email, why's it recommending the people I went to high school with?

I haven't been to high school in 5+ years, it's weird to suddenly see the names and faces of people I had forgotten.

They gave me my aligners and showed me a model of my final results for the first time and I'm not happy with them

I got my first aligners today and I also saw the model of my final results for the first time and I'm not fully happy with the results.

The final results have my front teeth pushed really far forwards.

I'm not sure where to go from here.

How do you get home safely after your tour?

I'm definitely going to be going alone but the only thing I'm concerned about is getting home safely at night on a weekday.

I'm genuinely considering leaving early before it gets dark but missing the show is gonna hurt me.

Do beaches like Shelly Beach at Manly have rips?

I'm not a strong swimmer but I would love to know if waist deep water is safe at beaches with calm water like Shelly Beach?

I'm a first time watcher and I really don't like Robin and I'm shocked most people do

I'm almost at the end of season 1 and Robin is just so needlessly rude to everyone.

When Ted starts dating Victoria she's so mean to her despite her being so nice to everyone.

Like during a game, Victoria says she's only had 2 boyfriends, Robin calls her a prude in front of the group and when Victoria says she's dated guys in between, Robin calls her a slut??

Mind you, this was her FIRST time meeting her and was her intention to humiliate her in front of the group?

This is just one isolated incident but she does this all the time she's the worst of the group by far and I don't know how people give her so much grace.

Has anyone had an overweight dog live a long life?

My small dog is 10 and a half and is showing no signs of slowing down yet. But I’m at my wits end with his weight and while we’re trying very hard to bring his weight down, I know it will never reach the “healthy” category because he’s so far from it.

Has anyone had an overweight dog live a long (14+ years) life?

If so, what things do you think you did to support their health?

I haven't gone on a lot of dates yet but I have talked to a lot of men (I'm a straight woman).

Some men have a calming energy via text.

Some men make me kind of uncomfortable/uneasy and I have NO clue why because everything they've said so far seems normal.

Some men seem warm/energetic/bubbly.

If you've gone on a lot of dates, how much does texting energy translate to irl energy?

This is honestly such a pet peeve of mine and it doesn't bother me because I have to keep the conversation going.

For me, asking questions and truly getting to know a person it a form of kindness and consideration.

Am I overthinking this? Or am I right to see it as a dealbreaker?
