IVDD stories of hope w/o surgery?
My Frenchie was diagnosed with mild IVDD yesterday. The vet said that with crate rest and meds his prognosis is good but that we will probably have flares occasionally. She said he could lead a long and healthy life if we are careful about jumping, stairs, etc.
But, I am freaked out. It seems like so many of the stories on this sub with happy endings involve the surgery, which is out of the question for us because we just don’t have the money.
Anybody have a pet with mild IVDD who did or is doing okay without surgery? I could use some hope today.
George and Stevie Wonder
I love the fact the George and Stevie had a special friendship. George said that he liked to cover Stevie’s songs because they were the right pitch for him and were also brilliant.
OMG. Onederland. I got a little emotional.
Pardon my dirty scale.
I represent companies in workers’ comp and we have this god-awful annual convention that happens every year. I am considered a “vendor” and have to drive for hours into a shitty part of my state and schmooze insurance people and employers for 2 days. If somebody had told me when I started law school that this would be a big part of the job I might have made some different choices.
I realize that today we have cruise ships that would dwarf Titanic but, viewed in retrospect, its size was shocking.
It’s been 33 years and I have still not gotten sick of this song. “Just like a baby I could not talk….”
