United States Pico users?

How are Pico users in the United States getting standalone games for their headsets? I understand that Steam and PCVR can offer a wealth of games, but there are some decent standalone games available on the Pico 4 Ultra, and with the Pico store not available in the US, how can these games be purchased and used?

Controller tracking okay now?

I've been interested in the Galaxy XR for several months as a potential stablemate for my Quest 3. However, a few months ago I remember bad stories about the controller tracking being really bad after a software update. Has this been resolved?

Still trying to get FF7 Remake Intergrade to work properly

Thanks to everyone who has helped me this far. I finally got FF7 Remake Intergrade to *mostly* work in UEVR. I can now play it in sterescopic view, which is awesome, but my menus don't show up and I can't read dialog text. Has anyone else faced this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

What is DX11 mode in Steam?

I am trying to get FF7 Remake Intergrade to work with UEVR. I found markmon's UEVR profile for the game and can't get it to work. I see that his notes on the profile say "Game requires DX11 mode, so make sure you add -d3d11 to your command line in Steam". I have no idea what this means. I don't see a command line in Steam. Can anyone offer some guidance on this?

How to get FF7 Remake Intergrade to work

I have been trying to get FF7 Remake Intergrade to work and after installing several different profiles that are supposed to be for the game, the best I managed to get was the game only appearing in one of the two eye displays and so far off center that I could only see the very lower right corner of the game. I am using a Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop. This is the game I was most looking forward to playing in VR with UEVR and I'm really hoping this community can help me get this sorted out. I have also tried both the latest regular version and the latest nightly version of UEVR, Praydog's profile plus several others for this game. Nothing seems to work.

6dof controls in Robocop Rogue City

I am new to UEVR injection and trying to figure out why no matter what profile I install, I can't seem to get 6dof controls working. I'm using a Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop. I'm running the game off a gaming laptop, which runs it surprisingly well on Medium graphics settings. I don't think the compute or GPU power of the computer is a factor. I think its something in the injector settings and I just can't figure it out. Any guidance would be super appreciated.

DC to USB-C charging hub?

I have built a couple of DC to AC power stations utilizing 12 volt deep cycle batteries and pure sine wave inverters. They work fantastic for charging AC powered stuff on camping trips. However, I have a business need to be able to charge up to 10 USB-C devices at a time at 45 watts each in areas where I may not have access to AC power. I want to build a DC to USB-C charging hub, but can't find anyone who makes such a hub that will power off of a 12 volt battery. Does anyone know of a way to do this where I could charge off DC without having to involve an inverter and have the conversion losses of switching from DC to AC back to DC?

Partial bones found under deck

My mother is having a new deck built, and today after the crew had torn out her old deck, we found these partial bones. The deck had been in place since the 1980s, if that is relevant. The bones have clean cuts on them, with one of them showing shallow cuts at regular intervals (roughly 1/8" spacing). They look too big to be a family pet that had been disposed of after dying, and as far as I know, the previous occupants weren't hunters. I still know that family and have never known them to hunt. However, this area has a ton of deer and deer hunting is very popular. I'm wondering if these are deer remains that someone chucked under the porch a long time ago. But the cutting of the bones is what makes me wonder why they're cut like this. I'm not a hunter, but I don't think its normal practice for hunters to cut bones in seemingly random places.

Games that offer a decent workout?

I have Les Mills Body Combat that I use for dedicated workout time, but sometimes I like to play something a little more game-like, such as Until You Fall, to get some activity. Are there any other combat based games like Until You Fall that can get a good sweat going and burn some calories without being a dedicated fitness app?

Metroid Prime in VR is awesome

I have been procrastinating for over a year to go through the work of setting up the VR mod to play Metroid Prime in VR. I finally did it today, and love how much better it plays as a VR game than as the original flat screen setup. Its worth the effort if you like VR gaming.

Need to perform update?

I'm trying to get Zelda BOTW working with the VR mod. Every time I try to launch it, it starts loading BOTW and then comes up with a warning that I need to perform an update. I'm not sure what to do. I am using the most up to date versions of everything. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you overcome it?

Sycamore Cinema traffic?

Just curious, does the Sycamore cinema get much traffic anymore? I am from Cedar Rapids and joined some friends to see Masters of the Universe there, and it seemed dead. Did I just go there at a slow time or is it always fairly empty?

Creating 3D streaming app for RC car

I'm looking to connect with anyone who either is developing or would like to develop an app to stream sterescopic video from an RC car to a VR headset in real time. Ideally, I'd like to have the camera mounted on a gimbal that can be controlled by head movement of the VR set. If you're involved in developing this kind of of thing or would want to and have the expertise to make it happen, I'd like to connect. I'm willing to commit some time and capital to making it reality.
