A Town's Most Beloved Horse.
Sadly, Jenny passed away in March 2022 after developing cancer. She had become a beloved local landmark, and many people in the community mourned her loss.
She’s the One
So as most of you know, this song was originally written and released by the band World Party in 1997 before being recorded by Robbie in 1998 as a single and track on his album “I’ve Been Expecting You”.
A while back I read an interview with its writer, Karl Wallinger (RIP) where he said he didn’t like Robbie’s lyrical changes to the song. I don’t know what I’m missing, I’ve heard both versions and they are basically identical.
The only lyrical variation is the live one at Knebworth where he adds “Kelly’s the one”. Surely that can’t be it? Can anyone clarify this mystery?

As a GenXr, - stop adding this. We’re older, we’re not decrepit corpses.

The Zephyr Song
Was just chatting with a friend about By The Way, and they said that they felt The Zephyr Song sounded like the track belonged more to Californication than By The Way.
The albums were released only 3 years apart, so I guess it’s quite possible that it was shelved from earlier songwriting/recording sessions but it was also the second single from BTW so given its hit potential (and still getting plenty of radio play now) personally I don’t think it was a “leftover” track.
What do you think?
In a policeman's boot
This lady/this gentleman(?) named Ossi has built her/his nest and laid eggs in a boot at the police station in Bochum, Germany: Press release (in German). Is this reactionary bootlicking behaviour, or is it a courageous multi-generational sit-in?
As a kid growing up I was able to eat cereal anyway I wanted and still do as a 55 year old lol. Just not as often of course…
The guest room
I was staying at my friend’s house and she said, “I’ve made up the guest room.”
Turns out she didn’t actually have a guest room.
Regret not buying this.
It was a couple of years ago. $6.99 or something
