Has Jessica been mindblown after her last major appearance?

She has been spotted in recent episodes and appears completely ordinary. Could somebody have removed her memories of being stuck for hundreds of years in that time crystal?

What profound insights into life, the universe, and everything, have you learned from Rick and Morty? I'm referring to the kind of deep, philosophical stuff that can change how you approach life

Hear me out

This guy might just be one of the most underlooked characters in the show. I know they sort of did an episode with him but I feel like that isn't enough.

Which of Rick's inventions would you like to own the most?

For me, it would be the following:

  1. The portal gun, because you can access infinity, and esentially solve any problem

  2. The mind eraser, because some trauma does not cause personal growth, it's just trauma

  3. The forcefield, because I would feel safe from any attacks

I think I may have figured out a way to make our fictional crushes "come to life"

We have all been there, and chances are that we still are. The people that we love and cherish do not exist. We long to meet them, get to know them and spend wonderful moments together, but as much as we desire it, we know that it cannot happen.

Or, could it? As we all know, greatly desiring something while knowing you will never be able to get it is not a pleasant feeling, to say the least. Therefore I have decided to come up with a solution, because I am not the kind of person to let problems go.

I want you to visualise the following; there are over 8 billion people on this planet. It is quite a difficult number to visualise, we have literally never seen anywhere close to that number of people in one place. Therefore, logic would dictate that probability-wise, many of the physical and personality traits of our fictional crushes are present in living people. The number we are working with is so high that it is very possible for some people to share multiple traits with a fictional character, to the point that they could be mistaken with a real-life version of a character. Take me, for example, as I greatly resemble the character of Simon Petrikov from Adventure Time. I look like him physically, I dress like him, and my personality is the nerdy, excentric type.

However, there remains an additional problem. Even if these people exist, there is no reliable way to connect with them. Yet I have an idea. It's more of a concept, really, but if it were applied it could very well do. If somebody were to devise an algorhythm powered by the latest advances in artifical intelligence, it could peer across a large database of real people and detect the closest matches to our desired fictional characters. This could work incredibly well in the form of a dating app where the similarity of people to our fictional crushes is the defining filter.

What do you guys thing? Would be willing to try out such an app?

This makes so much more sense now!

The veil between the human world and the spirit world was weakened during the events of the movie, when Tagah tried to bring back the temple using the staff.

I think that this is the reason behind the spiritual activity in Republic City during Korra's time. This is why the spirit vines grew literally everywhere so easily, and why Kuivira's energy cannon opened a portal here of all places.

A dating app that matches you with people similar to your fictional crushes

Have you ever felt like that character is totally your type? What if you could use fiction to filter through people and find the right one?

I feel hopeless and time-displaced regarding my social life

Greetings, r/TrueOffMyChest, and welcome to my life. Let me paint you a "prettier" picture of it beforehand, as we will thereafter take a more pessimistic turn.

My name is Patrick, and I am 21 years old. I am from and currently live in the country of Romania, in Eastern Europe, and I study international relations. I am very much what people would call, in more colloquial terms, a nerd, as I take great interest in amassing as much knowledge as I can regarding any and all subjects, but I am particularly proficient in the social sciences. Hence I chose to study a domain which requires the understanding of politics, economics, history, sociology, cultural studies and the like. I have the best grades among the students, get along well with teachers, and have a good reputation, generally speaking.

Objectively you might think that all is perfect. After all, many would wish to attend higher education and be valedictorians. Yet intelligence, as I have learned through experience, is not always a gateway to life satisfaction. You see, the social aspects of my life are lacking, to say the least. I have very few friends, never had a romantic relationship of any kind, and people have never truly appreciated me much.

The way I view society is paradoxical, to say the least. I find most people either boring or annoying, yet I do not find myself hating them. I feel like society has become far too individualistic and has forgotten the importance of collectives, so to speak, such as the community or the family. Peope are overly hedonistic, manipulative and hateful, not to mention ignorant and disrespectful, and relationships have become games of power and status. Therefore you might conclude that I have issues with modernity, and that I do, both culturally and aesthetically, as I love vintage clothing and depise minimalist architecture. To note, I am not politically conservative, being quite left-leaning on topics such as gender, race, sexuality and especially the economy, I just believe that social life has objectively degraded due to the breakdown of all that is collective.

Yet my criticism is not a hallmark of misantrophy or grumpiness. In truth, I value people and their wellbeing above anything else. I desire deep and healthy bonds of friendship and solidarity with those around me, always ready to help those in need. When it comes to relationships I still believe in the age-old values of courting and politeness, albeit applied to both men and women, and I view loyalty, trust and frequent acts of genuine affection as the foundation of a healthy relationship.

Therein lies the problem. As the Buddhists would put it, the cause of my suffering is not having that which I desire. I desire having a healthy social life and above all a romantic relationship, yet the object of my desire has proven eternally ellusive. As a consequence of not experiencing love, affection and belonging during my high school years I do not feel comfortable in the shoes of someone my age. I wish I had experiences of a lively social life, teenage love and all the like. However, as I never came across people of similar views to mine, I could have never achieved it so perhaps regret has no purpose.

Returning to the present, university life has proven even more dissatisfactory, as we are not as tightly-knit of a community as we were in high school. Everybody is colder and meaner and already has their desired social life. I feel a great void in my heart due to this. As long I will be socially unhappy, it will not matter how successful I am academically and/or professionally.

I like to picture myself in an idealised image of a 1960s American high-school, courting a red-haired girl in a skirt and headband during recess near the lockers, always pushing back against potential bullies with witiness and irony. That would be my ideal state of being, so to speak, from which I could be able to develop socially. Yet I am not of that age anymore, not in that time, place and company, and I am utterly unhappy.

I hope you have all enjoyed my thoughts, which I have presented to you in the best form that I could, having dabbled in creating writing in the past. Thank you for reading, ladies and gentlemen, and farewell! I hope to hear from you in the future.

I cannot help but feel a lingering sense of dissatisfaction regarding my life; the slightly creative essay of a time-displaced nerd

Does anybody know when the Woodland Retreat has last been featured in the shop?

There seems to be no way of tracking shop items, so I figured it would be best if I just asked around here. I would love to be able to get it
