Is a fae playing tricks on me?

Take this how you will, Theres might be some kind of rational explanation to this but idk, things are just really weird.
So for background information, my nana’s side of the family is heavily spiritual and come from an Irish background (unsure if that is related to this or not) and believe in the fae and other mythical beings like that. I’ve been told that the fae have been connected to our family for generations although I’m not entirely sure if I believe it.

So pretty much, for a really long time, I’ve started noticing a lot of my things disappearing or just being in places I’ve never put it despite no one touching it. Things like sunglasses, jewellery, pens, etc etc.

I had a very sentimental necklace that I gave to my stepmum. She passed away and I got it back and I had been wearing it every day. One day, I took it off and put it in the same place I always did on the bathroom bench and last thing I knew, it was just gone. I’ve turned my place upside down looking for it and it’s just gone like it vanished.

This could be explained by things like carelessness or maybe I had put it somewhere else and not remembered. But if that was the case, surely I would have found it by now (2 years later)

That has happened with mostly sunglasses. I am missing a super cool pair of coffin sunglasses that just disappeared as if it grew legs and walked out the front door.

This next one is actually pretty creepy in my opinion.
I do digital drawing and I use an apple pen. One day I had lost my pen and it got to the point where I had to buy a completely new one. Not long after, my mum was cleaning out this weird storage space that is behind the tv (for context, this is like a 3m long cupboard between two walls with two doors on each end and is only about 50cm wide. It is filled with stuff and is physically impossible to get anywhere near the middle of it without removing everything that is in there) while she was cleaning it out. She found my Apple pen. Right in the centre of it. Not near the doors. Directly in the middle where no one would have access to.

Earlier on this year. I was drawing in my bed and I had accidentally fallen asleep with my pen and iPad on my bed with me and I heard the pen fall between my bed and the wall. The next day I went to get it but it wasn’t there. I have the kind of bed where the mattress lifts up to reveal storage underneath so I did that to get better access to the side of my bed. But I couldn’t find anything. My mum started helping me look for it and we were running out hands along the wall and we wouldn’t feel it see anything there. We gave up and put the mattress back down but I decided to look once more just incase. My pen was on the floor next to the wall CLEARLY there. Like, so visible it would have been impossible for me to miss it. I would have thought I was just going crazy if my mum didn’t witness it as well. We both looked extremely thoroughly and we confirmed it wasn’t there, but all of a sudden it’s like it wasn’t even missing at all.

This thing happened just earlier and I think I’m actually loosing my mind. I was home alone and after showering, I got into bed, but where I usually sleep was this silver coin looking thing. It wasn’t a coin. It was those circular lithium batteries. I DONT KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM
I do have an electric heat pad on my bed but no batteries. My remote for turning my ceiling fan on and off wasn’t anywhere near my bed (it doesn’t even take those batteries) those are the only electronic things near my bed. So WHERE DID IT COME FROM. IT WAS PLACED SO NEATLY WHERE I SLEEP AND I SWEAR IT WASNT THERE THIS MORNING. I even went into my room to get a fabric headband that fell off in my sleep before I showered and I don’t see anything there. But the next time I went in. There it was. A random ass battery.

This post wasn’t supposed to be this long but yeah. If anyone knows how to get the fae to stop messing with me and give my stuff back, that would be great. I have heard about making a space in the yard to put little offerings in for them can help but I don’t know what to offer. It’s actually driving me mad 😭

Need help with deepnest.io

I am working on figuring out nesting as I am making large quantities of stuffed animals for my small business and need good lay plans. This has been bothering me a lot.
I use Inkscape for the patterns as I find it to be the easiest software for this kind of thing and I make sure to clean it up as much as possible before moving it to deepnest. However for a lot of these patterns, when I import the svg files into deepnest, it adds so many extra boxes and rectangles into it.

I have had this issue before and I have previously fixed it. But now it’s happening and I have no idea why.

When I first had this problem, I had gone to outline view, ungrounded everything, un-clipped everything, and deleted everything extra that shouldn’t be there. And that fixed the issue.

But now it’s doing it again. There’s nothing that appears in outline view, there are no extra nodes, no extra paths, I am stumped, I swear I have tried everything.

One thing that comes to mind as I am writing this is that I do have an ink cut extension but I am not sure if that should even change anything in my file.

I do not want to change softwares as this is the only open source nesting software that actually does what I want, is simple, and free. I have tried other ones but they all suck in comparison. I also don’t want to spend money on this kind of thing

Do I have a tomato intolerance?

In March of this year I started noticing stomach discomfort and stools around a level 5 on the Bristol chart. I assumed it was because of high anxiety levels, I wasn’t on a high enough dosage of my anxiety meds, and I also have extreme anxiety related to bowl movements.
This went on for a month before it clicked that there were two foods that I had been eating almost every day in some form during that period which were tomatoes and gluten.
I was really worried it was gluten so I decided to eliminate tomatoes first and after a couple of days my stomach started feeling a bit better and eventually my bowl movements returned to a level 3 on the Bristol chart.
So I have not been eating tomato since then except for the one time I forgot it was on a burger and experienced some pretty bad bloating and my stomach felt super hard (almost right after eating) and the next day my stool was a level 5

The thing is, I happen to be an avid enjoyer of lots of food containing tomatoes, such as (but not limited to) pasta (ravioli, bolognese, lasagna, Napoli, etc), chicken parmigiana, varieties of chips (crisps), I even used to eat tomato sauce with almost anything. So even though I love tomato so much, my fear of being sick or having a loose bm far exceeds that.

I am growing tired of not eating the food I like and I ARFID (in remission) which means that the food I eat was already super limited to begin with.

The things that make me rethink the fact it could be an intolerance is
- I had been eating tomato’s almost every day before I experienced discomfort.
- I had also had the random stomach pain and such when eating chips (fries) and mashed potato so I thought that could also be a good I can’t tolerate but I stated eating them recently and I am completely fine which could be the same for tomato
- I am in denial
- my boyfriend isn’t fully convinced that I am intolerant to tomatoes but as I can eat anything else high histamine, acidic, in the nightshade family, etc

I am planning to go to my GP to discuss this but I also want other input. I know I could just double check by eating some tomatoes and see if the discomfort comes back but it is important to note that I have severe Emetophobia and my most recent episode of sickness (getting the runs) quite literally resulted in my brain backfiring on me and developing FND from the extreme stress of it, so if I can prevent any of that happening again, I will.

What antibiotics helped your piercing infection

I have a helix and a conch , both around 3-4 years old that have a very persistent bump on them. I went to the doctors a year ago about it and was prescribed tropical Bactroban (after saying no to oral antibiotics because I have Emetophobia and am very scared about side effects) and it helped a little bit but not fully.

For context, I had skipped downsizing both of them because there are no piercing places close by and also forgetfulness. I had issues with getting them caught in my hair and accidentally sleeping on them (since I sleep on my sides, move around a lot, and I’m a very heavy sleeper) which I know is bad for healing piercings. I had always kept up with washing with saline 2 times a day and even after leaving it alone for god knows how long, nothing had worked. I did suspect allergies so I switched them both to titanium externally threaded (I think but not much improvement. I did end up taking my conch out because it was too painful. I also have been getting off and on infections in my lobes (3 piercings each side)

I had accepted the fact that it is probably keloids and would need it to be surgically removed.

At least until this week.
My mum had gotten a forward helix the same time I got my conch pierced and she had the same issues as me and it even looked pretty much the same. She had been put on antibiotics for an unrelated infection and she noticed that her piercing had almost completely cleared up from it.

I was wondering if you guys have had a similar experience and have needed antibiotics for piercing bumps and if it helped at all.

Also on an unrelated note I got my industrial pierced today lmao

Mirena Cystic acne help

I’ve had the Mirena in for I want to say 3 months now and one thing I have noticed as a side effect is persistent cystic acne around my nose, cheeks, and chin, as well as increased bumps, whiteheads, a oil around those areas as well.
I already have suffered from hormonal acne around my period but now it’s just consistent and I need help finding things to help it. I have been exfoliating, cleansing, using soothing serums, even acne control lotions but as far as I can tell, no difference

Can you guys please give me some suggestions for products that could potentially help, specifically the cystic acne since I find it so painful. I don’t want any suggestions for pills or stuff because I want to avoid it as much as possible so if possible, only suggest tropical fixes please. 🙏

Mirena Cystic acne help

I am not a huge skincare person but I have been getting lots of cystic acne around my nose, chin, and cheeks due to the fact I have gotten the Mirena a few months ago.
My skin has never been a huge problem for me besides breakouts around my period and nose blackheads.
My skin is normal but more oily around my nose.

I have been trying to use stuff like facial cleansers, face scrubs, micro dart pimple patches, and even if I just leave it alone, nothing seems to get rid of it.

To sum it up, I just want some help with product recommendations or what I should be doing in this situation, especially when it is hormonal. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Do chefs get sick a lot?

My boyfriend is a chef and he seems to get respiratory illnesses and colds a lot, more often than what feels normal. And because of short staffing, his own stubbornness, and anxiety, he rarely calls in sick (which I suppose is normal for chefs). I’m just wondering, does this happen to anyone else? To me it seems more like a bad immune system but honestly, stress can be a part of it. He also has an 18month old brother that lives with him and my bfs parents which could also contribute to to amount of infections he has gotten but I’m pretty sure it’s been bad before the kid was born.

I’m mostly just curious if this is a universal thing, and if it is, I’ll be sure to stay away from restaurants more often (I have Emetophobia and mysophobia)

Also how often do chefs get food poisoning?

Mirena Spotting will not stop

I got the Mirena at the beginning of may due to suspected endometriosis (sever cramps with no relief from pain killers, you know the drill) and since the first period on it, I have been bleeding almost non stop (39/45 days)
I know it is still really early and spotting is of course expected but it feels very excessive, as in I haven’t been able to wear normal underwear without tampons or liners in TWENTY THREE DAYS

I had my first checkup last week and the Mirena is in the right place and no ovarian cysts so everything was normal.

I am just wondering what everyone’s experience with spotting was because mine is showing no signs of stopping and it would be helpful for me to at least have an idea of the timeframes and all that.

I also want to know if anyone has experience cramping after bowel movements after getting the iud as well which I noticed has become an issue. Prior to the Mirena, I only god cramp during the movement itself but now it just lingers for hours and is only on my left side. My ovary has no cysts and my obgyn suspects that some muscles in my uterus is too tense and suggested physio to help. But yeah, I just want to know if anyone who is familiar with the Mirena has experienced this stuff

Who made this Jacket? I can’t find any information or images that look like it

I went to an antique store today and found this super cool (and expensive) leather jacket and I decided to get it. It looked good on me and I love the vibes it gives off. When I got home I tried searching for the maker or jackets similar to this so I know the history behind it but I couldn’t find anything. I know it’s from the 1980s or around that time period. The branding on the leather says “leather fashion, by Albert, made in” and the rest has been worn down. I believe it might be horsehide based on the texture.

I’d like to know if it’s rare (doubt it) or one of a kind before I decide to do any modifications to it like staining it black (as I am alt and I don’t have many clothes that can pair with this colour)
