Yeah yeah, I know, "this isn't an airport, you don't have to announce your departure". I just think it can sometimes be important to voice when you've stopped supporting something, especially with a company as small as this one

80% of the posts in here are complaining / hating, rightfully so but still

Splitgate has more or less been abandoned and it's turned from "we have a small team working on Empulse and our focus is Splitgate" to "we have a small team working on Splitgate and our focus is Empulse"

This company doesn't know how to make a good decision to save their lives (or their company lmao)

Leaving this subreddit, uninstalling the dead game, leaving the Discord server. I just don't care anymore. They have successfully neglected and abandoned one of my all-time favorite games... twice

Can't wait for the announcement that 1047 is shutting down or being sold

Now, every game / community has it's haters and arguments. No matter how well the game was made, there will always be people complaining about it, whether it's a valid complaint or just nonsense, they're there

However, what's going on in this community is very different; it's practically a full on civil war at this point LMAO. That wording was a bit dramatic, but you get what I mean

If things were actually being handled well by 1047, things would not be as bad as they are. It's not the community's fault at this point, it's the company

There are people that voice their concerns and / or disappointment with how things are being handled, myself included. Some of them try to stay respectful, while others really put their heart into insulting this company lmao. I'd say these people are a majority, or at least close to majority, of the community

Then you have the die hard defenders, who can only continue on hope that things will turn around one day. I used to be like this, I thought things would get better and the game would grow past the bad reputation of this company and become something great. I don't think there are many of these defenders left, especially with the baffling announcement and release of Empulse

It doesn't matter if Empulse is fun or not. Could be a great game, but it's still a bad decision. They haven't even gotten SGAR off it's feet yet, now they wanna throw another game on the pile?! They were going on and on and on about how they're getting ready to market SGAR after some more content updates. You know, that's a good idea, I was with them on that. Then that never happened and we instead got a second game. Now their focus is that game, and SGAR is being neglected, even more so than it already was with it's lackluster updates and content

I even think moving to a sequel instead of updating SG1 was a great decision, especially if it's true that the code was a complete mess and had to be built from the ground up to make it good

Now I'm convinced that this company doesn't know how to make good decisions, and instead of listening to their community, they dig their heels in until it's too late. They did this with SG2. Many people voiced their concerns with how SG2 was soulless, was just CoD 2.0, had no heart put into it, wasn't unique or all that fun, and most didn't like loadouts or classes or whatever the term is. But they kept going and going. Then when SG2 (obviously) eventually failed, they were likely forced to listening to the community, and that's how SGAR was born

Empulse is the next SG2. It's something that will very obviously fail, but they will never listen to us until it's too late. I think 1047 will inevitably fail as a company at this point

For a better understanding of what I mean, Elden Ring is basically exactly the type of game I'm talking about, but I'm already 2k hours into that game so I want something new LMAO

It has a very good character creator, multiple endings, build variety, stuff like that

Open world like ER would be dope, but not required. Really the only REQUIRED thing is character creator, but an actual good one lmao

Crimson Desert is almost exactly what I wanted right now, except it doesn't have character creator. I wish Soulframe was out already lol

It's a sick announcement, and I'm happy for the people that finally get the game, but if it doesn't have character creation then I doubt I'll play. That was really my only attraction to the second game, and there's a reason I haven't played the first one lmao
