I received approval letter of 120 qualifying payments back on march 6th. In that letter it explained "We are currently in the process of sending notice to servicers of borrower eligibility for PSLF discharge. It will take the servicers some time to process the discharge. You will receive a notification once the discharge is processed."

Well, It has now been 5 months, and my loan servicer still has not received any discharge notice. I have asked federal student aid multiple times, and only get "no timeline, it's still in process". 5 months seems excessive just to send notice. The discharge process cannot even begin until notice is sent.

Anyone else deal with this, or any advice on next steps? My loan payment is about to increase, and I'd rather not keep paying if my discharge was approved 5 months ago. THANK YOU!

Hey everyone, I shared a post earlier today about my recent unprovoked DVT diagnosis- and (9 days in) am having fairly uncomfortable pain in my legs (DVT leg and non-DVT leg. It’s a deep aching pain. I’ve also developed seemly endless, gnarly looking varicose veins in my affected leg. I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced something similar? Still waiting for hematology appointment. Hello everyone! New to group and thought I’d share my experience.

I am 39, overweight but not obese 5’11 195 pounds. I, admittedly, could be more active and eat a bit better.

Last week, I was cooking dinner and noticed a deep, aching pain in my right calf. My first thought was, “I must have strained it”- but it did worry me. Both of my Sisters have had clotting issues, along with both parents.. I thought I’ve skated by. Gave it a bit, but couldn’t shake the feeling that something was very wrong. Tried calling my on-call doc, but never got a response. Decided to wait until the morning and go to my PCP’s urgent care. No heat, no discoloration, only a tiny bit of inflammation and the pain. Bloodwork and sent me on my way. 15 minutes later I get a call telling me my D-Dimer showed elevated levels and they advised me to go to the ER. Well, 5 hours later- diagnosed with unprovoked DVT and put on Eliquis starter pack. Fast forward to my follow up with my PCP yesterday.. Eliquis for life. The family history along with the unprovoked DVT.. I get it. I am seeking the advice of a hematologist as well. Some life-style changes in store for me, as I do enjoy drinking and work within the alcohol industry. Also thankful this was caught before the family and I head to Hawaii in August (6.5 hour flight).
