Massive accident/police presence on Crater Lake Ave
heading south to i5 and had to divert around the McAndrews/Crater Lake intersection due to police and what looks like a massive crash. Anyone know any more details?
hope all involved are okay
EDIT: surprised this wasnt in the news or anything. From what i have found out it was a 4-5 car accident after someone ran a red and caused a chain reaction of collisions.
Good place to take a computer?
I live in Ashland.
I have a Dell computer that is behaving strangely and doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I know little about computers and need a good recommendation for service or repair options, please.
Thank you!
Why aren’t people more concerned with paying off debt?
say you get a bonus at work, or win the lottery, get an inheritance. whatever it happens to be. why isn't the first thing done is pay off any debt?
and i dont mean large amounts of debt that are good in some ways, such as a house payment, i mean credit cards, car loans etc.
i hate having debt and always want to pay it off as fast as possible, and even i cant do that all of the time.
curious what everyone thinks.
Any guesses as to what the new sector will be?
The information that came out today says that it's a sector inspired from a "fan favorite" episode.
Curious what episode this is referring to. My first guess is fluidic space from Scorpion part 2. Was there another area the ship went to that i am forgetting? Possibly the void from Season 7 (season 5 ep 1 had a similar thing)? that would be actually be pretty cool imo.
Curious what you all think.
EDIT: just had a thought: 1996 Earth from Future’s End! That would pretty rad too
Do you find our genitalia fascinating?
i am fascinated by biology and how it all works, especially human genitals as they differ between the sexes. Curious what you all think
general/shared by both:
First is the fleshy area directly above the actual genitals (mons pubis?). the way it grows hair, the softness of it and the general shape.
Male:
the penis is an interesting thing. The way it can be small, shrivel and on the other hand inflate to over 4-5 inches long. Testicles are buddies down there and provide the material for humans to be able to reproduce.
Female:
man this is a strange one. The vaginal opening and the way that flesh from the inside just hangs a little out of it. It’s really beautiful (i’m a male).
the way we actually have sex. The process of physically inserting the penis into the vagina and reaching the point of ejaculation. It sounds disgusting but it’s something we all love doing, mostly for the amazing feelings but also to make new humans.
would love some thoughts and input.
EDIT: not the replies i was expecting but they all made me laugh hysterically! Thank you reddit!
I’m not Indian
I am on the spectrum as i have OCD
I did mean labia instead of vagina
You guys have made my day!
I went to Jersey Mike’s yesterday…
Honestly the food was good, maybe slightly better than JJ’s but i think i still prefer Jimmy Johns. JJ’s sandwiches are bigger and less expensive, plus there are more vegetable options.
Wanted to share
denied for credit card...?
I applied for one of the US bank cards, the one with the $250 bonus as i wanted to buy some stuff and get some cash back.
The application was fine, unfroze my credit, the credit pull happened. Then i was hit with with the whole "we need more information screen, you'll hear from us".
I tried to call them, cannot get through as the hold time is 3+ hours. Today i get a letter saying i am denied due to "lack of information".
My credit is 800+, i already have the Kroger card which is through US Bank. Why would i get denied because of lack of information?
I've already moved on, just curious why this would happen. I haven't been denied for a credit card in over 10-15 years.
ADTX: does this mean i can buy the entire company for only $14,000?
Can someone explain the SpaceX IPO please
I am curious how this raises money and what happens to the stock when it goes live.
It is IPO’ing at $135 a share with 555,555,555 shares available, which all add up to the $75b Musk is looking to raise.
How does this get calculated exactly? Does everyone have to buy every share to hit that target? If all the shares were bought before the stock went live, does the price stay at $135 with no shares available, or does the price start to go up as the stock becomes more scarce?
What about private investors? Can they sell their stock the second the ticker goes live in the market?
Thanks for explaining
Is it normal to quite often get a sandwich that is lukewarm or cold?
i order either the chicken deluxe or the grilled chicken, and sometimes the sandwich is either lukewarm or just cold.
is this a normal thing, or am i getting leftovers that aren’t being reheated?
love some thoughts
Bought NASA and WARP
10 shares of each to dip my feet in.
With the SpaceX IPO on the horizon, space may be the next big market.
What do you guys think? Good or bad investment?
Tax increase day!!
You guys excited to pay even more in gas taxes and DMV fees? I certainly am!!!
What would happen if a chick fil a was open on a sunday?
is this like an actual policy you have to follow. or is it more of a tradition at this point? more modern consensus in the christian sphere suggests that the sabbath is actually saturday instead of sunday.
are there any punishments for being open on a sunday? most of the time when i want chick fil a, i wnt to go in a sunday and get hosed
Was messing around on google maps and found Oregon has a Pleasant Valley
I want to start investing but am terrified
i know my strategy is to go all in on VT for a 20-25 year time span to build up some retirement savings in a roth IRA, however i am terrified of putting any money in.
i look at trends and how well ETF do over the years. the likes of VT, VTI etc always go up in value, but anytime i put money in, i get cold feet the second it drops and want to pull it all out.
how do i get past this fear of losing money? social security may not even be there when i would retire which would be 25-30 years. i need to have some kind of nest egg to prepare for the worst.
thank you for the advice!
Edit: thank you everyone for the wisdom and encouragement. I have decided to start the investment journey with VT.
Thanks again!
have a 2018 Rav4 at 87k miles. Want to get the transmission fluid changed but i don't want it be a flush. Research i did says these ones need a drain and refill.
I called Dusty's in Central Point who specialize in transmissions, but they want $450 to do it which seems a bit steep.
Wondering if anyone can provide other local recommendations that can do this, or if a Toyota dealer would be the best way to go.
Thanks!
like many others, i got caught up in the whole Outlook outage today. tried several times to sign in to my accounts and it would work for a short time, and then break again.
on iPhone or Android, there is an app in the app/play store that works as a 2FA method. it has you verify with biometrics and then lets you pick a number out of 3 options. way faster than having to use your password or phone number.
it will also stop hackers from getting into your email, which only requires your email address and password to see.
there are a lot of authenticator apps in the stores. make sure it says its the one from Microsoft.
