Is there any way to clean this part of a Peak Pro?

This thing was in rough shape… I brought it mostly back to life, but it has wax under this part. Any ideas for cleaning it?

What’s going on here? :)

I’m trying to understand my hair better and would love help describing the pattern in this photo. I’ve generally thought of it as wavy, but it seems to be a mix of stronger waves, loose curls, and a few ringlets, so I’m not sure whether it would be considered 2B, 2C, 3A, or a combination. I know curl typing isn’t exact, but having better language for it would help me figure out what techniques and products may work best.

My current routine is Hairstory Pre-Wash, Hairstory New Wash Rich, and Oribe Curl Gel. I wash one or two times per week and often use Kérastase 8H Magic Night Serum between washes.

I’d love any advice about my routine, styling technique, or refreshing between wash days. Does anything seem too heavy for my hair, and is there anything you’d suggest adding or changing to help support the pattern I already have?

Our new clients really like us

Remodeling done right is still a stressful job no matter how well it goes. So it's awesome when clients go out of their way to let us know they appreciate everything we are doing. Our new clients decided to turn our shit house into a shit home while we work to bring their remodel to life!

Does anyone else have a really hard time with travel?

F35 diagnosed AuDHD, but just got my autism diagnosis about a month ago. It has been an emotional journey since then.

I used to travel a lot for work, and although I was nervous, I’d strategically dissociate from my body to try and avoid the fear and panic. I’d immediately open a laptop to work as a distraction - movies and books didn’t and still don’t do the trick for me.

Anyways, lately travel has been extra difficult. I struggle with disrupted routine, sameness, and structure. The night before a flight (not routine, new place, out of control of the structure) I am an anxious and dysregulated mess. I try my best to create space for what I’m feeling, but damn. I’m exhausted. Part of me wants to just be able to do the thing it seems so many other adults can do without having a full physical reaction starting 24 hours before… shakes, throwing up, diarrea, etc. I’ve been throwing up lately on planes from the anxiety, and even being on “vacation” isn’t super enjoyable, because my body and mind can’t relax.

I tried to fly somewhere today for a friend’s bachelorette trip and ended up missing the flight because I was up so late last night *trying* to sleep, and then the whole thing got so overwhelming I just went back home. I’m supposed to try again tomorrow, but I’m really struggling already with the idea of it.

Anyways, I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else here struggles with travel (the whole process of it) in a similar way. 😔

Mine, too, kid.

Found this inside a kid’s fill-in journal. (I run a Little Library and this came through.)

ISO: taqueria breakfast burrito WITH tater tots in it around South Lake

This is for a random craving. I’ll be accepting no tater tot slander at this time.

Pictured: me, scouring taqueria menu this morning online to no avail.

I'm graduating with my Master's Degree on Friday. Is there an NYC-based MUA you recommend?

I'm not looking for "big! bold! bridal!" type of MUA – rather, someone who can do natural, long-lasting makeup that will look good in photos.

I know it's a bit late, but worth a shot. Thanks so much for any recommendations!

Anyone else glad THAT holiday is over with for another year?

I think this will be my last text to her in our low-to-no contact situation.
