hey so my bf recently got a loan from synchrony bank for getting $1,000 for a car repair. my bf is also paying off his car, and has about $5,000 left on the loan. his FICO score dropped 80 points in the last month. we thought it could be the $1,000 loan. it just says he has a high credit utilization but that’s it. he has never missed any payments ever. could this really cause his score to go from 725 to 630???

hi, my friend and i have a flight home on monday. we’re arguing because she has no money to pay for anything at the moment, and only has enough money left to pay for getting back home. she said that the frontier website won’t let us choose free seats, that we HAVE to pay for them. also, my suitcase is $79 and checked bags are an additional cost. why?

one place quoted me $5,700 but one independent mechanic quoted $3,800 to $4,200 for a bunch of stuff including cylinder heads, timing belt, and other stuff which i think is great. not concerned about the pricing but will it be worth it to fix the cylinder heads or will they leak again ? thx

is this reasonable ? i’m watching her younger than 6 months cat. he’s a handful. he likes to get into stuff and pee on the couch, and stay awake at night. she told me they’re paying me $120. last time i watched him for 2 nights, they gave me $30. i feel really awful about this. she said they’d be gone for a “few days” but 6 days is not a few days. i know that theyre not broke or poor. i am tho, currently. could use all the money i could get. i feel like their payments are unreasonable especially if im staying the nights here… for 6 days…

hi, so it’s currently at the mechanic and they gave me a quote about what needs to be done. it has been leaking for a couple of months but nothing major until the other day. it started leaking more so we took it into the shop. they said that BOTH cylinder heads need replaced ($5,700 for that alone), and the camshaft seal needs replaced ($600-ish). however i talked to another mechanic and he said that it’s rare for a cylinder head to leak oil. the mechanic that quoted me $5,700 also said that they don’t know how bad the damage is for the cylinder head because they’d have to get into the engine and look. but why quote me $5,700 ? i don’t know. is this a normal price ? i cannot afford that. i have like $400 but i need my car for work.

my car is leaking oil. can’t get it fixed, can’t afford it. my work is still expecting me to drive it. someone else has the 2009 company vehicle 24/7 because he doesn’t even have a car that works so i can’t drive it.
