Transfer Advice

My husband is a package car driver with 7 years of seniority and works in the Laguna building (California). We are currently expecting our first child and looking seriously at transferring to another state where we’ll be able to afford a larger home. Our current considerations are the following hubs:
Boise, Idaho
Salt Lake, Utah
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Anyone who can give us informed advice about how much actual work/job security there is at any of these places please chime in. We were previously interested in Montana, but heard from someone who relocated there that they couldn’t get their own route and were even struggling to get five days a week driving became there was no volume and obviously we don’t want to worry about that.

Southern California to Colorado?

Anyone who can speak from experience or give informed advice please chime in. I live in Orange County, CA and am pregnant with my first and I don’t see us ever getting out of an apartment. My husband has a good stable job, makes $130k yearly with great benefits, I work for the school district and don’t get great pay but really want to not work while raising our baby/babies. Husband has a transfer offer at work that would allow him to relocate to Colorado (Colorado Springs, Aurora, Englewood, and Commerce City areas are all options because they have offices in each of those that he could choose from). He would keep his same CA salary. Really considering it for how we’d be able to live there vs here but we know nothing about the area. For reference we are 30, have very minimal debt, and are currently paying $2800 to rent a one bedroom. Very interested in suggestions of areas within 20-30 mins of his office with great neighborhoods & schools. Also obviously trying to narrow down which area to pick for his office. Thanks so much in advance!

***I know this subreddit is for moving to DENVER, I apologize. I can’t seem to find one to post in where the rules don’t include banning posts about moving advice. If you can’t help me based on my specific post, but can point me in the direction of the where to ask, that would also be much appreciated in the replies!

***You may have seen posts from me in this subreddit about Idaho & Utah as well. There are a handful of locations available to us, and we recently learned Colorado was one as well. Just made sense to make separate posts for each location.

Baby Boy Name

Hello everyone! I am currently pregnant with my first and it’s a boy. We have already chosen a name we absolutely LOVE - Westley James. The advice I’m seeking isn’t about the name (which is set) but rather the spelling. Originally we chose to spell it with the T because visually it looks stronger and more complete to us, and it also has a connection to the movie The Princess Bride, which is a very special part of our love story. However, several friends and family members have expressed confusion or concern over the spelling being too “odd.” We really didn’t think it was that uncommon, as it is just a variant spelling for “Wesley” but are starting to have some doubts now. Would really love to hear thoughts from others! Thanks so much!

Moving to Treasure Valley - help us pick an area?

My husband’s job will be relocating him to Boise in the next 3 years so we are trying to determine where in the treasure valley we would like to move. Would love some help understanding the differences between Boise, Meridian, Star, Eagle, and any others that aren’t yet on our radar but should be. Anything under a 30 minute commute from Boise is fine.

For reference, we are 30 and currently expecting our first baby. Will probably have 2 or 3 kids total. We love the outdoors and our priorities are safety, close enough access to shopping (like Costco, groceries, Target, etc) and great schools.

My husband’s current salary is around $120k and they will match that in Idaho.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
