Sunscreen comparable to Korean sunscreens

What is your favorite sunscreen that you are using this year? I have been using Korean sunscreen and love that they have minimal white cast, are moisturizing but not greasy, and very light.

I’m trying to find a new one now that I’m almost out of my current and was considering trying something by cerave or LRP?

Any that you find to be your holy grail sunscreen?

What time do you take your iron?

I have coffee in the morning and dairy with lunch and dinner a lot. And take magnesium before bed. So trying to figure out when’s a good time to take my iron so it doesn’t interact with those.

What time do you take yours?

Arginine free products

Does anyone here also have an arginine sensitivity? What toners, serums, moisturizers and spf do you use?? It seems to be in almost everything

Snail mucin without arginine

Has anyone found a snail mucin that works as well as Cosrx but without arginine in it? I love that the Cosrx made my skin look better than it ever had. It was smooth, less red, glowy, and plump. But unfortunately I can’t use arginine in my products.

I’ve tried a few other snail mucin products and none have compared.

Has anyone found another product with snail mucin or just another product in general that gives you that same pretty, glowy, plump, smooth skin?

Influence /deinfluence my cart

For context, I have dehydrated combo skin and am 40. Looking to prevent wrinkles, plump and hydrate skin, smooth texture of skin, and lessen redness from the heat/rosacea.

I’m still trying to choose which to order for the sunscreens and toners which is why there are multiple of those lol

Chemical sunscreens safe for rosacea

What are some good Korean sunscreens that are least likely to irritate sensitive skin? I’ve been eyeing Anua zero white cast and skin 1004 Madagascar Centella hyalu-cica water-fit sun serum, but not sure if those will be a good fit.

Levels low or fine?

I got my labs back and while they are all in normal range they seem on the lower side. Are they ok?

Vit d 33

Ferritin 27

Vit b12 495

Folate 8.1

Vit d and ferritin levels

My vitamin d level is at 33.3. Which is technically in normal range (over 30) but still on low side. And my ferritin was 27 and also technically ok but on low side.

What levels are ideal to be at? I also have been experiencing hair shedding for awhile. I see my doc next week but just curious what levels are best.

Levels for labs

Ideally what should your levels be for your labs so you can stop shedding and start seeing some regrowth? I just had labs done and these were my levels:

Vit D 33.3 (“normal” range starts at 30)
Ferritin 27 (“normal” range starts at 15)
Vit B12 495
Folate 8.1

Can any of them contribute to hair shedding and thinning?

Japan haul help

Ok guys. My husband will be visiting japan and I want him to stock up on any Japanese or Korean skincare/haircare/makeup products while he’s there because it’s cheaper than the US.

  1. Any recommendations on stores to go to?
  2. Any recommendations on what products to grab there that will be cheaper than the US?

I’m 40 and have dehydrated combo skin that is reactive and gets red from heat and cold. I have the beginning of hollows under my eyes. I’m working on repairing my skin barrier and I like products that plump and give you dewy skin. Also any products to prevent future wrinkles and worsening of my under eyes.

I also have been experiencing hair shedding and loss. So any products that may help stop the shedding, regrow hair, or even just thicken or strengthen hair.

I’m currently using these:
Dodko cleansing water, banila zero cleansing balm, illiyoon ceramide cream, sungboodt collagen cream and ampoule, round lab sunscreen and moisturizing cream, Anua azaleic acid, peach slices snail serum, JSM essential skin nuder cushion foundation

Thanks for any help and input!!

Iron and vit d levels

My iron and vit d labs came back as normal but on the lower end. 27 for iron and 33 for vit d. Can that contribute to hair shedding and thinning?

Iron level and vit d

My labs came back showing iron (ferritin) at 27 and vit d at 33.3. They both are on the lower end of the normal scale. Do you think it could be contributing to my hair shedding and thinning? Waiting to hear back from my doc soon.

Redness and azelaic acid

I have combo dehydrated skin. My cheeks and nose have recently been getting red during the day. I think some of it is related to heat and flushing but also possibly maybe mild rosacea not sure.

Would something like Anua azelaic acid help with this?

Dungeons and dragons

Is there anywhere on the north end of the island to get involved with dungeons and dragons groups or other similar games? I know the book rack does it sometimes. But any groups for the 16-21 year old crowd? Thanks

Pokemon

I just learned about and started using the hobonichi weeks this year. It’s the first planner I have actually stuck with consistently and I love it so much. I have a blue January start and my kid got the tamagotchi spring start and started to do it with me everyday.

I’m wondering if they ever come out with Pokemon themed hobonichis? My kid is hoping they may for next year.

Under eyes

I’m 40 with dehydrated combo skin and am starting to see some lines under my eyes. I just started getting into skincare a few weeks ago and was never really a huge makeup and skincare person. I basically just wore foundation that had spf in it with eyeliner through my teens and 20s. Didn’t really wash my face but used make up wipes. Then spent my 30s not wearing make up at all except maybe once a week bc I became a sahm. Dabbled with moisturizer here and there but not consistently.

Now that I’m 40 I have started to try to take better care of my body and my skin and I have seen a great change in my dehydrated skin with Korean skincare but haven’t looked for an eye product yet. What can I do to prevent further wrinkles under my eyes and to soften the ones already there? Or any tips or recs for my current routine below… Thanks!!

This is my current skincare routine as of now:

Am

Torriden dive in serum
Round lab moistruzing cream
Round lab moisturizing sunscreen
Occasionally Jung saem mool cushion foundation
About to also purchase tower 28 concealer

Pm
Dodko cleansing water on days w no foundation
Banila zero it cleansing balm on days with foundation
Cosrx snail mucin (love the glow I have with this so much)
Iliyoon ceramide cream (this one has transformed my dehydrated skin)

Combo skin cushions

If you have combo dehydrated skin, and have used one of these cushions:

Milk Touch All-day Skin Fit Milky Glow Cushion
CLIO Kill Cover High Glow Cushion
Laneige Neo Cushion Glow
Amuse Dew Power Cushion
espoir be velvet cushion

What were your thoughts on it? How did you like it? I’ve been using JSM essential skin nuder but am not loving it. The neutral pulls too yellow on me. And finding it doesn’t really cover as much as I want.
