Trip to Asia, any advice?

I would like to visit on a low budget (from 5k to 10k euros) for a married couple (30M and 33F) a 3 to 6 months trip visiting:

- Japan (we have already seen Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka - I also visited alone Kobe and Akita preferacture).

- China (we have already seen Beijing, Xi'An, and Shangai)

- Vietnam (we have never been)

- Other places you suggest

We will flight from Italy (Rome probably), and we won't have a job when getting back (we will search a new one around Europe).

Which cities do you advice us to visit and what plan do you suggest to stay on budget?

What was your decision that changed you?

What caused it? What have you done to change your life?

(A meaningful trip, a retreat, a spiritual journey, etc.)

Am I a simulation programme of my body?

It seems a stupid question, but bare with me for a second.

If my body is a combinations of cells, and my mind, the sense I have of who I am, is a creation of my brain, than I am a "simulation" of my body serving the purpose of keeping it alive.

At the same time, I influence my body because I am not alone in this world, and I live with others that educated me to a socio-cultural system, and I end up doing things to my body that may harm it because I believe those things will improve my survival (alcohol, smoking, going to war, etc.). I may also do things that are good for my body even if my body craves them/don't want to do it (avoiding eating all the time high calories, workout, etc.)

So, are we a system that created other systems, and in a way got entangled in its own game?

What do you think of this perspective? And what role being aware of it (consciousness) plays in this?

Do you still find a good choice to pursue a PhD?

Hi there :)

I have graduated from a Master's degree in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology 3 years ago in an Italian University. I really enjoyed doing my thesis field work, aside from the interview transcription (a long tiring job that maybe now you can easily do with AI).

So, after a couple of years in office jobs, I am considering to enroll in a PhD, but I heard that 1) it is super competitive 2) it is not easy to become a researcher or professor afterwards 3) some people that have done a PhD in Humanities find are without a job afterwards.

I am mainly interested in researching about transformative learning process, like career change, alternative health schools (my Master's thesis was about one of them), ecovillages, etc. I have still sto niche down where to focus next on this research, but I have figure out what I am passionate about (analyzing before-after identity and worldview of people that intentionally sought transformative processes).

Do you think is still feasible to do an academic PhD? I am 30 years old, male, and my main worry is to invest time and energy on this and then find stuck 3-4 years from now without a career. I am also considering to have a child in 2-3 year and I would like to have a minimum of economic stability to raise it.

Which business certificate do you advice me?

Hi there 😊

I am helping my Product Manager to redefine the process and workflow of our team. Specifically, we offer maintenance and validation contracts for Clean Rooms and Automotive projects. I am not a business analyst or business process manager, but I have a good "bigger picture view" and I have joined the team recently, so I'm still "half an outsider". We are redefining the roles of the team members and understanding how to best divide areas of responsibility. We are also analyzing where are critical issues and how to address them. I am also collaborating with IT to automate process, when it's possible.

I would like to propose to my Product Manager a certificate that could help me to understand better how to do better this task, and that it can also train me to become a future business process manager. Do you advice any business process certificate that are widely known and practical?

AI suggested Sigma Green Belt or CBPA. What do you suggest?

Thank you for reading and answering the post

Would you rather travel with uncertainty or work in a stable position?

Would you rather travel untill you can, even by using all your money left in your bank account, or work in a full-time until you retire?

How to switch to a full-remote job in 2026?

Hi,

I would like switching to a career full-remote in Europe. Do you have any suggestions on what type of jobs would thrive online in the next years?

Please avoid doomsday comments "AI will conquer as all!".

A bit about my background:

I am currently working as a Proposal Coordinator in Italy for a manufacturing company.

Before, I covered roles in Student Success, Education Program Coordinator, and Customer Care.

I am good at learning digital tools, but I'm not a fan of becoming an IT. I would like to have a job in which I can help and guide people in discovering a new product or service (post-sale).

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to this post.
