I shipped a package from USA to Canada recently. The value was $45. UPS charged the customer $55 in brokerage fees, $10 in custom fees +tax. Is the $55 brokerage fee UPS only, or standard across USPS and FedEx as well. Is there anything I could have done to avoid the fee for the customer?

Anyone run into this? I shipped 2 packages the same day with UPS ground saver (never again). UPS - USPS - Customer. I dropped them off at USPS and the clerk agreed he could scan them. Tracking was fine through UPS for 3 days, then just stopped on Package moving to local PO. I stopped by UPS store today, they told me to go to Pirate Ship. I contacted Pirate Ship - they told me to file a missing package on USPS. Craziness.

Just now checked USPS and the status finally changed to

The package associated with this tracking number did not have proper postage applied and will not be delivered. You are encouraged to contact the sender/merchant to seek reshipment, refund or other available recourse.

Doesn't look like I have the opportunity to pay the additional postage? Does the package get returned to me so I can reship, then I lose out on the original postage even though this is Pirate Ships error?

Anyone have any suggestions for changing around the amps? LIke to keep it under $400.

I have to keep small, my shelf for the amps can't fit a normal sized phono receiver, and I don't want a new shelf

I do love the look of the retro, tube style amps like the AIYIMA T9 - I know the tubes don't add much, if anything, I like the aesthetic. That being said, I don't want to sacrifice amp quality for looks.

I do have these questions buried in another thread, but I'm afraid they'll get missed and I need to make a decision today. I'm going to look at a set of Paradigm towers. From what I can tell, they're from the early 2000s which is prime for ferrofluid replacement.

Even if they sound fine today, is it safe to assume replacing the fluid is something I should plan on?

What would a shop charge? It's not something I'd be comfortable DIYing.

Is it easier\cheaper\possible to just replace the entire tweeter?

Looks like it would be around $225 to pick those up. Room is medium sized. Any suggestions for a different preamp or speakers within that budget? I don't mind going a little more money if it gets me a lot more value. Thanks!

I'm currently researching vintage turntables. Not sure if I'm going to go that route or new. Are there any brands I should be looking for? Any brands I should avoid? I'd be grateful for any tips. I don't mind doing some minor refurbishing, as long as I can find a youtube video.
