Got a bag of 15 bean soup. How would you season it?
I'm assuming there's a better recipe than dumping the little seasoning packet in. What meat also? Also can I do anything besides soup with my 15 beans?

Furious was insanely good, saw ong bak, saw almost all Scott Adkins movies. I grew up on Jean-Claud movies. English language is heavily preferred, but I'll watch other stuff. Already have seen all of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.
Needs to have custom engraved text of a roughly 15 characters. She wears black and gold jewelry. I think she would prefer something solid rather than jangly and airy. No super thin chains. Happy to answer any other questions that might be helpful
It doesn't even have to be near future. Some far future sci-fi would still be cool as long as the aesthetic is that neon, acid rain, gritty criminal underworld vibe. I have recently been listening to some cyberpunk audio dramas (Witchpunk and The Strata) and I was reminded of how much I love that genre. I grew up in the 90s reading Gibson and Stephenson and watching Johnny Mnemonic, Hackers, The Matrix, Strange Days, Wild Palms, etc.
Massive fan of intelligent storytelling coupled with good action.
Thank you!
Just binged Witchpunk (only one season so far) and it is freaking amazing. Carries the action well in audio format which can be difficult. I also am listening to strata but I'm not a fan of each season being a different story.
I do like Midnight Burger though it is very different. There is something similar with the action and sci-fi bits.
Any suggestions for anything similar?
I love the super lightweight Capilene Cool Ultra Shirt from Patagonia, but a large is quite boxy. I am looking for a more fitted large cut. The Pair of Thieves fitted large tees you can get from Target are the proper cut for me. I have broad shoulders and a long torso, but I'm pretty lean in the waist (34 pants/medium chubby's shorts).
I live in sunny Florida (it rains all the time). So I'm looking for something that is waterproof but somehow won't cook me in the heat. I realize that's probably impossible, but materials science is pretty insane these days, so hopefully there's something cool?
I saw Patagonia has a rather nice looking one. Have any of you tried that one?
LAPTOP QUESTIONNAIRE

Budget
$500 USD would be ideal, but I have no idea if that's even close to reasonable.
Are you open to refurbs/used options?
Specifically looking for refurb

Purpose
I'm a photographer that uploads to the cloud almost daily to my work team. I'm often at my girlfriend's house though and her laptop is ancient. I need something that I can use to upload photos to Lightroom cloud and share the album with my editor. I will be using lightroom to cull photos (just scrolling through and assigning a star value to individual photos). I won't be using Lightroom to fully edit any photo sessions, but I may have to do some small things here and there.
Form factor
Regular laptop is fine
Intended usage
Lightroom creative cloud version. Anything else is secondary/not important.
Desired battery life
Doesn't really matter as it'll be parked at the house. Very rarely I might need it to hold a charge for a few hours.
Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life
Performance, battery, size, weight
Info/Requirements Edit: hard drive space isn't important as I have a fast external. 256gb should be fine
Really just need something that can handle importing 300-800 photos a night to Lightroom, and have enough processing power and RAM to scroll through the photos and cull in Lightroom. My desktop for example is 32gb RAM and a Ryzen 9 3900x and it handles it fine. So something in that ballpark but in laptop form.
It seems she likes mostly clean to raspy vocals and gnarly guitar riffs. Good, driving drum beats. Pretty fast, not like doom or stoner. High energy music.
Preferably hip-hop or metal.
So far I have:
Wu-Tang Clan - Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nothing to Fuck With
Joey Valence & Brae - Punk Tactics
Baroness - Shock Me (mostly the battle imagery, not exactly the entire song)
The Sword - Barael's Blade
Run the Jewels - Oh My Darling Don't Cry (this one is pretty slow until around the second half, lyrics are intense though)
Edit to add recipe for the potatoes:
Get those little yellow potatoes that come in a bag, cut them into quarters, toss with canola oil and sea salt. Roast at 450°F in a smallish pan (you want them touching the sides and bottom, fairly crowded). Roast for 45 to 50mins stirring halfway through. It is simple, but you get crazy good crispy potatoes. I think most people don't do high enough heat for long enough.
I found a recipe that produces really delicious, crispy on the outside creamy on the inside roasted potatoes. However I don't really know what to do with them. I don't want to pair them with something, I want to use the actual potatoes in a recipe.
So far I've just come with sardines in a mustard sauce on top of them. But that seems kinda simple. Perhaps a smashed potato salad?
My girlfriend doesn't really like pork, so probably nothing with pork. Maybe with beans and shredded chicken in a high fiber burrito wrap?
I've been playing DND for years. My girlfriend is interested but we're busy and of course scheduling etc. Also I mostly play 3.5e (poorly) which is a difficult thing to just jump into.
Are there any relatively simple 2 player games out there? Not really looking for anything overtly romantic. We got that covered. We're both pretty competitive though so any cool versus mechanics would be fun.
Thanks y'all!
There's something about the 100% "plastic" shirts that I really dislike. Are there any cotton blend shirts that are ultra lightweight and NOT see through? Technically I will be wearing these at work out in the sun as well as for running. Can't have the nips on display at work.
Thank you!
I'm 6'1 with broad shoulders and a narrowish waist. Usually a "fitted large" size fits me. I don't actually care too much about fashion, but this seemed like a good subreddit to ask (if anyone knows other subreddits let me know).
Basically I just need something I can wear when I'm fully soaked in sweat that doesn't feel like it's suffocating me.
Thank you!
My first purchase when it comes to quality cologne. Girlfriend loves it. I find it very pleasant. Just curious what the community take is.
Recently got the Saludos espadrilles. They quickly discolored and the binding on the sole (idk the exact word, but the little like rope binding that connects the canvas to the sole of the shoe) is fraying. I wear my shoes pretty hard, but still that's a lot of deterioration in a few months.
I do walk quite a lot, so something sturdy would be nice.
Looking for pretty simple choices style wise. Nothing flashy. Really loved the look of the Soludos but the quality just wasn't there.
Thank you!
Big fan of dream logic, high strangeness kinda shows the aforementioned ones in the title or even From or Twin Peaks. Stuff that is confusing and disorienting but has a great hook. And hopefully a resolution to the mysteries. Thank you!
I'm not sure what gen air pods she has but they pick up everything in the background and her voice also sounds choppy sometimes. I'm looking for an upgrade for her.
She generally wears them when walking her dogs or when on a call. I don't think she cares much about noise cancelling (especially walking the dogs, it's good to hear your surroundings). The main thing is better mic quality because my goodness it's terrible. It seems like even setting down a coffee mug gets picked up and interferes with it picking up her voice.
Budget ideally would be super cheap (we're currently saving for a trip), but anything under $100 is doable.
Thank you!
Don't really have access to a grill for week night dinner, but I wanna get on the pork steak train. They look so incredible. Is there a way to achieve something delicious with just a range top and oven?
Trying to eat more beans. I don't really have access to heirloom varieties, so I would be grateful if you kept it to things I can find at the grocery store (US).
