I want to add a few reasons as to why my academics declined mid-junior year, but my story sounds kind of trauma dumpy. I wrote down just the facts and excluded any emotional writing, but it still sounds too soppy or like I'm trying to over-justify myself.

Hispanic female, first gen, low income, non-competitive online school, looking for a school with an open curriculum because I want to pursue fashion + business + sustainability. If not then my intended major is environmental studies.

1280 PSAT & 1350 SAT (first time taking but trying to get up to 1480+, scheduled for 5 more already)

3.88 UW GPA (school doesnt rank or weigh)

21 AP's, 6 IB SL, 5 IB HL

AP Scores (not submitting only for credit): AP HUG 4, AP Bio 3, AP World 2

Senior Courseload: AP Calc AB, AP Chem, AP Macro, AP Lit, Civics, 2 internships (26 hours a week total), WANIC class (3 periods a day, 3 credits)

Roblox clothing designer - generated over 70k in revenue over 5 years of selling virtual clothing items.

Social media for a Roblox browser extension - Top 3 extensions on the platform, 5mil+ users, manage their twitter + tiktok pages and post daily videos

Reddit mod - Modded subreddits with over 3 mil combined users for 6 years, paid by reddit and partnered with Roblox for an in-game event that over 500k people attended

Sustainability team - lead of my district's sustainability committee for 4 years, supervisor is an EPA employee, partnered with national non-profits, 300+ members, working with the city government and we've gotten over 130k worth of grants, nominated for President's Environmental Youth Award. Recognized on several articles for restoration and education based achievements

Depop business - generated over 30k of revenue from selling clothing items. Took my Roblox clothing designs and had them mass produced using recyclable fabrics collected from my sustainability team.

Additional info: One of my parents lost their jobs mid-2025 and the other was unemployed. We were low income already but I was supporting my family financially for 6 months using the money I made from Roblox and Depop. I was forced to drop out of my public school while pursuing an IB diploma to switch to online school and had to move to another country for 4 months because of this. This caused a tank in my GPA (3.94 -> 3.86 in 1 semester) and my standardized test scores. Still in an extremely messy home situation and I've gotten diagnosed with several stress related medical issues since then so I'm hoping this will help compensate. I have a college fund so I don't qualify for aid and I'm planning to apply as full-pay, but technically without it I qualify for maximum aid.

Targets: University of Washington (instate), UC Davis, UC Irvine

Reaches: NYU Gallatin (ED), Barnard College, Northeastern, Northwestern, Columbia, Cornell, UCLA, UCB, UPenn, Brown, Stanford

My list is very reach-heavy but if I don't get into any of my reaches I'd rather just go to UW. If I don't get into UW then I'd rather go to my city college or state school and transfer, even if I got aid or full-aid at a lower-prestige university.

I deleted someone's entire chat on accident (80k messages), and I recovered it just fine but now their messages aren't showing up in my search. I tried restarting my phone, and I'm in the process of redoing my iCloud (clicked turn off syncing, then back on).

I got tired of shaving every few days and I'm too cheap, too lazy, and too self conscious to get waxxed or get laser hair removal. I purchased an epilator about a week ago and did my legs and arms with no problem at all. Underarms definitely HURT (8/10 pain). Then I got bored and was curious if I could give myself a brazillian. I have extremely coarse hair and my technique wasn't the best but I got through everything except the lips if ykwim like it was 80% done. I chickened out and stopped because I'd say it was 9/10 pain. Earlier today I was taking a shower and I thought to myself wow that actually worked - barely any of it of it had even grown back, and the few hairs that did are so much sparser. So I was like fuck it...lol. I found a better technique and finished everything up with 5/10 pain. Honestly my underarms hurt more than this session. However, I did get caught in the machine maybe 4 times because I wasn't holding the skin tight enough but it freaked me out more than it hurt. No regrets I'm finally done and I feel a sense of pride. My biggest tip would be to almost bounce the machine instead of rolling it along the skin like you're supposed to. That way only a few hairs get yoinked at a time and the pain is tolerable. Yay!
