Casa en el Aire - Bosques de las Lomas, Mexico City (1991)
Located at 18 Bosque de Guanábanos, this striking home was designed by renowned Mexican architect Agustín Hernández for his cousin and completed in 1991.
The home is in a very wealthy area of Mexico City, known for its steep and awkward cliffs.
The structure is supported by two large concrete columns, while the cantilever itself is a prefabricated metal frame structure screwed on to four master beams.
The interior utilizes only a small amount of dividing walls, given to an open plan using decor to help separate the spaces.
