Casa en el Aire - Bosques de las Lomas, Mexico City (1991)

Located at 18 Bosque de Guanábanos, this striking home was designed by renowned Mexican architect Agustín Hernández for his cousin and completed in 1991.

The home is in a very wealthy area of Mexico City, known for its steep and awkward cliffs.

The structure is supported by two large concrete columns, while the cantilever itself is a prefabricated metal frame structure screwed on to four master beams.

The interior utilizes only a small amount of dividing walls, given to an open plan using decor to help separate the spaces.

Does anyone know the name of the song that just played on Democracy Now? Amy said it was “Small Things - Casey Velasco”

It was right after the commercial during the interview with (Mae Nai/May Nai) I haven’t looked May up to confirm their name but anyway that’s when it was.

It was a slower acoustic song with a female singer that sounds like Happy Rhodes. I was shazaming it during the song and it couldn’t find it. I was so happy when Amy said the name and then I googled it and NOTHING came up.

Did anyone get the name of the song? I would be so grateful!

Does anyone have screenshots of that weird scowl strained smile/frown that she does?

My friend doesn’t know what I’m talking about so I’m trying to show her some examples of what she looks like. Minimal filter pics would be best!

How do we feel about the Tampa Beer Can?

The Rivergate Tower (or the Beer Can, or the Skyes Building) was completed in 1988 and heralded as a prime piece of the new Tampa Riverwalk - which was built in place of the old Curtis Hixon Hall.

Locals were immediately divided as construction ensued due to the perceived “antiquated” look of the building.

However, what wasn’t immediately clear to those on the ground was the intricate planning of the tower - as Wikipedia says it best:

“Architect Harry Wolf based its measurements on the Fibonacci sequence, in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, leaving each tile in the floor and each window pane is bigger than the ones next to it. The building is faced in French and Texas limestone, making it one of the tallest limestone structures in the world. The distinctive cylindrical shape was meant to symbolize a lighthouse on the Tampa skyline.”

Today it is a staple of our swiftly changing skyline here in Tampa - what do y’all think about it?

Your plethora of options for escorts in Tampa the month of April 1997

And of course the classic private “lingerie modeling” - the only ad cut out of the crop (very top right) is for Space Odyssey

NEREUS flies a banner with just the medication name, no other information, over the empty beach

With the color of the banner you can only read it through camera zoom, and it still doesn’t say what the medication is. It only shows the damn name and the almost illegible url. (I went on the website it’s for motion sickness??)

Also there is barely anyone on the beach today - what the hell is the point of this??
