So we’ve learned that human chiropractic care is based on myths, but somehow we’ve extended it to animals? Wow.

The last two work trips I took (I’m usually remote) I had two separate groups of people bring up either exercising or a specific physical activity and ask each person in the convo—except me—if they do it. E.g. “do you hike?” gets asked to everyone but me in a 4-5 person conversation.

They only make eye contact with each other, as if I’m not even there. I really don’t think I’m being overly sensitive—I think because I’m in a bigger body, they just assume it’s not relevant. I make sure to interject but does this happen to anyone else?

Been riding 1-3x a week (about 30 min per ride) for 3 months. I thought the brakes were just wearing in but they still squeal some. Is this normal? The front brake doesn’t squeal at all. Actual braking mechanism is normal, slows to a stop as expected.

Former Christian who is interested in the premise but I can’t tell if this is an actually well researched take from a respected author or an influencer situation? Appreciate thoughts from those who’ve read it.

I’ve searched high and low on the bottle, their website and the safety paperwork and I can’t find it anywhere. It made me nervous to guess a dosage though I assume it’s on the lower end. Anyone know by chance?

Google is only returning local places that aren’t accepting new clients OR national chains. Would really prefer a local recommendation if anyone has one!

I’m from the US and a very common practice when visiting a locally owned restaurant (especially when traveling) is to ask what the server recommends. We’ve tried this in multiple restaurants across Switzerland and the servers seem almost annoyed when we ask. Common responses are, “it depends what you like.” What I’m really asking is, what dishes does your restaurant specialize in, or what is most popular. Is this just a cultural difference or should I phrase the question differently?

Just received a doc from Citi to lower the remaining rate for a flat fee of $475.

Here’s the numbers:

30-yr fixed, bought in 2023

Current rate: 7.125%
Current payment: $5,039.41

New rate: 6.5%
New payment: $4,733.17

The FAQ says I would still be eligible for refinance after this loan modification.

Only thing I can find online is posts from a few years back saying this is a marketing tactic to keep you from refinancing with another bank, but the rates haven’t been low enough to justify a refinance yet.
