Question about Vanguard Onslaught
This stratagem says if the unit fails the battleshock I get a +1 to wound. But what if it already is battleshocked does it still make the roll? Do I automatically get the +1 to wound or do I just not get it at all.

Like bro, this is terrible for customization, we dont need rainbows but this aint it either.
As per the title, has anyone else been expierancing ping issues after the update specifically on Official servers. Like if I hop on a server that says it will have 35ping I end up with 65 and every 30 seconds it will jump up to 80 and less frequently even go up into the 100s with the highest being 140.
Everything was fine before the update so that is my guess but I am wondering if it is on my end or not. Ill preface and say the FPS is fine its just the Ping that suddenly got worse
I am primarily concerned they wont be able to handle things at T10+ sure the Terminator brick will 1 shot most and trajann can aswell so long as he and his unit is on an objective but im wondering if the rest of the army js Abel to as well. It will be wounding on 4+ against most stuff but idk if thats good enough. I would prefer to not have to use a tank cause I prefer the infantry bikes and dreads.

I got into agents just before 11e, I have around 750pts but would like to get more. However I am having a hard time even thinking about getting anymore cause im worried the army will get scrapped.
Incase you were unaware the Telemon will be getting a new weapon, an Adrathic Desolator. The interesting part is it is supposedly "anti terminator" but as you can see the Illiastus has that covered. So I decided to take a look at other Adrathic weaponry we have. We only have the destructor and devastator.
A key feature of Adrathic weapons is medium-low strength but high AP and High damage. Additionally they tend to have only 1 shot, but that could simply be because one is a small wrist mounted one and the other is on a bike so can't be too bulky. They also both have 18" but again these are smaller than the desolator.
My Theory:
24" 2 2+ 9 -2 D6+1
What do you think it will be?
So far the only methods I see for dealing with a lot of bigger threats like C'tan, Greater Daemons, Knights etc is really just 2 Caladius, I have heard some people talk about Land Raiders but to less success.
I have also heard some say Achillus or Terminators in Lions but both of those are much harder to make full use of.
It feels like we don't really punch that high consistently unless we use tanks which kinda sucks cause that means 25% of your army will always have to go to them.
Something I recently thought about was the lack of "Organic" or "Monster" armies, I don't necessarily mean the Monster keyword only.
Think about it, we only have Tyranids and Chaos Daemons, those are the only 2 factions that are basically all organic (stretching with daemons) meanwhile every other faction has vehicles some of which are only vehicles.
I wanna see stuff like Dinosaurs, Kaijus, Dragons and just more monsters.
I have no idea how they could justify it or make it happen in lore, the only one I can see is if they brought Exodites fully into a faction but even then it will still just be mostly Aeldari.
Idk if anyone else has wished for this or if I am alone but I really hope we get something like that.
Now with every other dreadnought of ours getting refreshed it begs the question if the VCD would also get a refresh.
On one hand they have only been refreshing Resin models which could mean they are safe. On the other hand they have done 3/4 dreadnoughts.
At the start of the week I only had 1k points done, so I decided I would try and hammer through as many as I could to try and get to 2k. I reached about 1.7k after painting many hours every day. Luckily I was planning to use either my knight Destrier or some Agents to fill in the rest.
My lads are all bundled up and ready to roll. (1st pic is what i painted 2nd pic is all of mycustodes)
It was fun seeing my paint scheme on one of these guys, im very happy with him. I plan to use him in my first in person 11e game this weekend so im glad I got him done in time, now ima see if I can finish up 3 more terminators before then.
For some reason people keep thinking in 11e you select either your unit to target an enemy unit or you select your model to target enemy models. It is very clearly stated you select your model to target an enemy unit.

As for cover, I really feel like the rules are pretty straight forward.
Elite infantry all the way baby, who needs vehicles or sisters, we got all we need and more to Purge the Foe.
Wanted to kitbash a Shield Captain for my Terminators and I think it turned out quite well. Now I just need to paint up 9 more terminators and 6 more bikes then ill be ready for 11e.
I have been thinking about getting them for awhile now but I am somewhat worried they might get refreshed or something. Do you think they are still safe or are they gonna get a refresh?

The main reason I ask is cause they are 8 years old, now I know that isn't super old for models but it also isn't necessarily in the safest spot.
OK so as you know stratagems can only be used once per phase as per 10e. However now we cannot target the same unit with more than one stratagem in the same phase, this has made a lot of combos null and void but I found one.

With Auric Champions and Tharanatoi Hammerblow. OK so Tharanatoi gets access to Unleash the Lions just like Lions of the Emperor, now you may wonder why that matters, simply put it no longer has any drawback, or at least it wont if you use this strategy. Before when you would break your 7 man termies you would lose out on the Lion of the Emperor buff as now there were allies withing 6", but Tharanatoi does not have said buff thus using Lions is perfectly fine. However, the shield captain cannot Uppy Downy like the rest of the Termies so he will be stuck wherever you drop them. Until now.

By using Unleash the Lions in the command phase you will break your 7 man unit into 7 1 mans including the Shield Captain, once that is done in your movement phase you then use Shoulder the Mantle, this re-attaches the Shield Captain to one of the normal Termies making him able to use Uppy Downy AND have access to the wound reroll(vs characters monsters and vehicles) from the normal termies.

The best part is it only costs one CP given the shield captain can use his once per turn ability.

Now I know what your thinking, why go through the trouble? Well let me point you to the Force Dispositions, both Auric Champions and Tharanatoi Hammerblow are Priority Assets, every single mission for Priorty assets requires an action, one of which you can do unlimited amounts of time, essentially you will not only have the means to do actions you will also be able to land anywhere throughout the rest of the game as unlike units naturally put intk deepstrike once these guys go back into deepstrike they don't die after round 3.

Is it worth it? Probably not, is overly complicated for possibly mild returns? Absolutely.
I love how wild these new Layouts are, they completely change up the formula 10e had.

Despite the sad news I decided to finish Kroyle today.
Unless it is stated elsewhere it looks like you can use overwatch even if the opponent doesn't move. Given it says at the end of the movement phase then in theory if you move out of line of sight then the opponent cant overwatch you. Am I right here or?
So 2 of the best detachments for Custodes is now only 2DP which means we get to play with some fun combinations.

Meanwhile imperial agents only got 3DP detachments despite all of the detachments except 1 sucking horribly. Not only did we not get any 1DP detachments (like Hello? Our assassin detachment would of been perfect for that) we also, CANT EVEN PLAY 1K GAMES.... thanks GW.
