My school had a tradition of dressing the Kindergarteners as Native Americans for Thanksgiving. Here I am in 2001. Anyone else have this experience?

I would definitely not allow my kids to do this today, but apparently this was totally appropriate back then. My husband even did something similar in his kindergarten class and we didn't go to the same school district. Yikes!

Kimberlina is my name. Anyone else have this name or know someone who does?

My mom named me after a road she saw called "Kimberlina Road" in Bakersfield, CA (US) while passing through. I have never met anyone else with my name. I often get mistaken for my name being 'Kimberly'. I go by 'Kimmie' though, and have my whole life. I don't care if it sounds babyish. I will never be a 'Kim'. Anyone else have my name or know someone who does?

Anyone else enjoy making art out of recyclables?

I've been doing art for years, even took classes in middle & high school. Painting used to be my main medium, but now creating art from recyclable material has really grown on me. Here's some of my pieces!

My husband didn't know what a tank top was.

My husband was meeting up with me and some friends. I asked him to bring my blue tank top. He sent me pics of things he thought were tank tops. He finally found it, which is shown in the last pic.

Looking for recommendations on tattoo artists who do well at scar cover ups

My 30th birthday is in a few months (eww), and I've really been thinking about finally getting my first tattoo for it. I have some scars on my arm that I would like to have covered with the tattoo. Partly as a reminder for how I overcame things, and partly because I hate how they look and what they remind me of. I have no idea yet of what I would want. Any good recommendations?

Does anyone have this plush of Princess Presto from Super Why that I can take off your hands? Looking for it in rememberance of a child

I work in Foster Care. One of the kids I worked with had Autism and was diagnosed with Leukemia a few months ago. He unexpectedly passed away last week from an infection. His favorite show was 'Super Why' that aired on PBS Kids. The main character, Super Why, was always by his side. The Foster Family will be burying him with two other character plushies from the show (Super Why and Alpha Pig). The one in the photo, Presto Princess, had gotten lost during his last hospital admission. I tried looking everywhere to replace it so it could either be buried with him alongside the others, or to give to the family in rememberance. I have checked: Amazon, The PBS Kids website, ebay, Mercari, and Depop. I am in the US. I'm willing to pay for expedited shipping. Does anyone have this that I could buy? Can you please help me find it? Thank you for any leads!

Does anyone live near Water Wheel Gifts & Books in Dubois, and willing to help me get a toy they carry that I can't buy online? It's in rememberance of a child.

I've been trying to track down a replacement for this specifc plush toy that belonged to a child I worked with (I work in Foster Care in California). This child had Autism and was diagnosed with Leukemia a few months ago. He unexpectedly passed away last week from an infection. His favorite show was 'Super Why' that aired on PBS Kids. The main character, Super Why, was always by his side. The Foster Family will be burying him with two other character plushies from the show (Super Why and Alpha Pig). The one in the photo, Princess Presto, had gotten lost during his last hospital admission. I tried looking everywhere to replace it so it could either be buried with him alongside the others, or to give to the family in rememberance. I have checked everywhere online that I could think of. A fellow Redditor saw it on the website for the store Water Wheel Gifts & Books that's located in Dubois, Wyoming. I tried to order it online, but the website says "This store isn't set up to receive orders yet". I was wondering if anyone in the area can pick it up and ship it to me? I will of course pay for pick up and shipping fees, with also a finder's fee. Thank you for any help!

Help me find this 'Super Why' toy of the character Presto Princess. It's in rememberance of a child that loved the show.

Update: I found the manufacturer's website, Mighty Mojo Toys. They only have a Super Why plush, and a party in a box kit. I emailed them to see if they happen to have any old stock of Princess Presto. Will update if they reply!

Can the Savemart Center allow a wheelchair user and a companion into the wheelchair areas during the show if no accessible seats are available for purchase? Trying to figure out how to take my mom to the circus Sunday

I went to purchase tickets for the circus for Sunday, and there are no accessible seats available. The Savemart Center website states that they can possibly do day of show relocations to accessible seats. We just need two tickets, one for a wheelchair and one for myself. My mom can possibly transfer to a seat on the aisle if we can store the chair somewhere. I cannot get ahold of anyone at the Box Office due to the weekend and holiday. Does anyone have any info on what to do?

Free books at Pride in lieu of the library being banned from participating. Anyone interested in participating or donating books?

I'm so sad to hear that the library is unable to participate this year. I would love to be able to hand out books to the community featuring LGBTQ authors and/or characters. From childrens books to adults. Would anyone be interested in participating or donating books to do this?

My husband is celebrating his first birthday after landing his dream job as a Card Dealer at a Casino

My husband has dreamed for years of becoming a Card Dealer at a Casino. It's a hard field to get into. He is also on the Autism Spectrum, and has struggled in workplaces due to struggling with social skills. Never finished college due to having a difficult time completing assignments. He's very intelligent, just struggles with doing the actual assignments themselves. He began his Card Dealer job in December 2025 after attending Dealing School for 5 months. He will come home at 5am tomorrow morning to see this casino themed setup I did for him. We will be celebrating by going gambling a bit tomorrow.
