Longstory short this guy scammed me $1,500 (paid for some collectibles).
Any success stories stories on cc chargebacks?
$2,000 budget, $4,000 budget, $10,000 budget.
At first I thought I got a great deal, but after looking into the seller, I found a lot of reviews from people saying they received counterfeit watches. The price also seemed way too good to be true.
I messaged the seller back and forth for a few hours, questioning the authenticity of the watch. Eventually, the seller gave me a full refund through eBay before the watch even arrived.
The seller is now saying that once the watch arrives, I have to send it back, even if it's fake. My position was that if it somehow turns out to be genuine, I'd absolutely return it. But if it's actually counterfeit, I don't understand why I should have to ship a fake item back to someone who was allegedly trying to sell counterfeit goods.
The seller refunded me, but I haven't received the watch yet, so I don't know exactly what will happen.
My question is: If the watch arrives and it is clearly counterfeit, am I legally required to send it back to the seller, or does it depend on eBay's return decision? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

First off, the lower the budget the better. If you have any recommendations that are not on screen, i’d appreciate it.
I’m a medstudent and I take the train every day, it’s about a 10 minute drive from my house. Need to be able to get to the train, hop out and drive to classes. I’d also love to use it to drive around my neighborhood to clear my mind.
I like going fast and feeling sturdy. If it’s low maintenance even better.
