I'm not sure if anybody's attempted to build this before but I'm working on a throwable taser ball or electrifying ball for self-defense in an emergency

Basically it always starts expanded slightly about half a centimeter. And then when you go to throw it you squeeze it and then within a half a second of it unsqueezing it emits an electrifying current for a total of 5 seconds as it likely will impact the object or the target that you're trying to defend against, in about 500ms to 1s, something like that I'm trying to perfect it and the timing

The idea is not everyone knows how to fire a gun but people know how to throw a baseball

And then it only electrifies for about 5-10 seconds I don't know how long it would take to subdue an attacker, but not so long that it can't be retrieved easily, or hurts bystanders or non targets

If you accidentally squeeze it and you don't want to continue to trigger the electrocution, you disable that effect by turning one of the halves before letting it expand

it has an internal battery, so it can be charged with a standard 110, and it can be deployed many times on a charge. the internal battery charges the offensive circuitry when squeezed each time, and the twist discharges it

Every single married man has told me this very rationally, if you want to be married, you have to just tolerate verbal and emotional abuse, stop breaking up over it, is this true?

I have had a lot of relationships. But anytime a girl started being really mean calling me names having delusional anxious thoughts, saying things that were crazy and insulting me based on imaginary demons I broke up. I wanted somebody with at least decent mental health. I don't know if mental health is a crisis for women in this country (US) but I can tell you not a single woman has ever treated me decently. The second she thought I did something wrong whether it was real and a tiny issue, like one time I had a girl get mad at me because I told her I didn't answer the phone because I was in a meeting, I really was I had a job interview and she lost her mind that I didn't pick up the phone, or imaginary like she was imagining things that never happened or words that were never said, she would start calling me names, wish death upon me, and acted like I wasn't even human.

I had a mother who also treated me like this. Is it just immature of me to think that a woman cannot act like this or it's just very very rare, and I should not expect it.

Please be honest especially if you're not going to get in trouble with your wife. My dad was always afraid getting in trouble with my mom.

This is not a shitpost, this is a cry for help post, I want to be married. I just don't know if it's something I should just ignore. I hate being yelled at because I went through my whole life so far being yelled at, but I have a feeling it's just going to be this way my whole life.

For example anytime my mom had a drop of anxiety or over reactiveness she would spit at me and tell me that I should kill myself, several occasions she tried to suffocate me and kill me. She's even done worse than that, just tired of going over it.

I've had ex's punch me in the face, I've had ex's throw very heavy objects at me and almost kill me. I've had them cheat on me. Call me names. Abuse me emotionally verbally very badly. Like one time an ex punched me in the face because she thought I lost something that that she put somewhere and she found it later. She ask me where it was and I said I wasn't sure and she got mad and she punched me in the face. I never had an ex that was just consistently emotionally evenly keeled. And I don't mean this to be a mean question, please just help me out here, are there any fully same women out or is it unlikely that I'll ever find a woman that doesn't have an emotionally imbalanced personality. Please, it's not a joke. I already lost my dad this month, if there's no hope for me finding a family of my own either through just expecting this is going to happen or maybe I just I'm a fucking idiot I don't know what I'm going to do.

Another example is my sister said she doesn't do this to her husband, but I watch her do it, and she's only getting worse. Her husband is a literal saint and for the first time after like 7 years together I saw him get frustrated with her in a private conversation with me. I'm way closer to him than my sister, I'm going to take his side. I'm just asking for a middle aged guys perspective, do you all kind of get it for the most part and you kinda just have to take the abuse? I guess just tell me yes if it's true I'll just accept it.

Don't make fun of me, maybe I'm stupid, maybe I didn't have the right influences, just asking for help.

Thank you

update:

had an epiphany in one of the comments that I think I keep ending up with these girls because I was abused myself and a lot of the women that are abused and that misbehaving with me cause that's just part of their trauma and their upbringing they've seen it so they act it out. I've been to therapy I don't act like that or expect that in a relationship anymore I don't talk to people like that but I'm finding that I identify with these women more these sort of broken women who I feel something in common with but I'm no longer broken and I've worked on myself I need to find somebody normal and I should be okay with that and not have to be everyone's therapist.

I think that's what I need to do I think it's my fault I just need to find somebody without thinking that I'm so broken that I should just be with another broken person who ends up bringing me to the depth of hell or bringing me down with them

update2: thank you for all the advice everyone I think I'm going to go back to therapy and I'm also going to realize that maybe I'm seeking out the same women because I identify with this kind of relationship

Here is the registered agent info for the Tea Dating App company, every legal entity must be able to accept mail and provide mailing contact information to be registered in any state in the US as an incorporation

They are breaking the law in several states - we should take them down. What I'm sharing here is public information. This is not doxing this is the address of a registered business

I just want to be clear this is probably just a mailing address at a virtual office we should be sending them mail but this is the start I'm going to attach the CEOs information as well I just need a few moments to find it

Just as the male CEO doesn't find it illegal for them to post pictures of us on the app and show information about us, I don't think it's a crime if I post this picture and his information as well

in addition to having a registered agent every incorporation in the United States must have a leadership board attached to the registration I will be sharing all that information of the entire leadership of that company

names photos anything that I can get that is public

Linux phone really needs to be more of a thing

Android is Linux yes but it's not really Linux it's really Google.

We need another option with all the bugs with IOS and Android we need something that's crowdsource we need it to be completely open and privacy oriented and really truly trust worthy

We need some really smart people to get together and make a dam phone and have it available all across the United States not just in Europe and you should be able to purchase it in the store

If someone shot Hitler in the 1940s they would be labeled as a state terrorist

If someone shot Hitler in 1940, newspaper coverage would have completely diverged based on location. State-controlled German press would have condemned the shooter as a "cowardly tool of foreign, Jewish conspirators," while Allied papers might have hailed them as a hero, albeit one who caused massive geopolitical uncertainty in the thick of war.In Nazi Germany, Joseph Goebbels’ Ministry of Propaganda would mandate absolute vitriol:The Narrative: The shooter would be framed as a fanatic terrorist, a "Judeo-Bolshevik" agent, or a puppet of the British Secret Service. The Tone: Desperate, enraged, and unified in portraying the shooter as an enemy of the German state.Outcome: The shooter would face immediate, brutal retribution (either a summary execution or a swift show trial in the Volksgerichtshof with a predetermined guilty verdict). In Great Britain and the Allies, newsrooms would process the event as a monumental historical turning point:The Narrative: The shooter would likely be treated with extreme complexity. They would be heralded as a "martyr" or "daring patriot" for single-handedly halting the Nazi tyrant, but editorial boards would scramble to predict who might fill the power vacuum. The Tone: Cautiously optimistic yet focused on the ensuing military and geopolitical chaos.Precedents: Similar to when a carpenter named Georg Elser planted a bomb in a Munich beer hall in 1939 to stop the war, Allied media would view the assassination as a desperate but desperate-measure attempt to avoid mass global conflict. In the United States, which was still strictly isolationist in 1940, front pages like those of the New York Times would report the assassination as a massive breaking news story. They would detail the shooter’s identity and method of execution, while op-ed columnists would debate whether Hitler's death would result in the collapse of the Third Reich or trigger an even more aggressive successor regime.

Interesting right?

Having a mental illness is not an excuse to mistreat or abuse someone

Got to therapy if you have an illness, work on yourself.

Stop treating your partner like free therapy or a punching bag.

It's not cute, it's not affection, it's toxic, and makes their friends and family sick watching you abuse them

It's not a flex if your wife or husband "puts up" with you. You're basically saying I married a pushover.

I don't know why male self-defense is such a taboo topic, but is it legal for a man to defend himself physically against a woman if she's hurting him?

Let's say you're in New York in the US

There are movies like this: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071674/

Where a man is raped and the title is couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, which tells me in the US male defense is often seen is a non starter legally.

Is this broadly the case today?

What's going to happen to openai, anthropic and all those other proprietary AI companies when everyone realizes that running open models is just as realistic a future, and what will happen to the AI bubble?

I realized I was wrong about billionaires

I'm not always right and I thought a lot about if billionaires ever need to be a thing.

At least in the near term I can't see how anyone would acquire that amount of wealth ethically.

Let's take Amazon as an example first. You may think that Jeff bezos was just a hard working entrepreneur, but he forced a lot of small businesses to close and predatorily pushed them onto their platform.

Microsoft stole and crushed and acquired small companies, and aggressively did so.

Apple lies you all the time, about who they are as a company, and the overcharge you for very inexpensive things.

The list goes on.

So many people think that the economy should self regulate

People regulate the fucking temperature in their house - everything needs regulation.

I honestly think just like we have rules against forming a monopoly we should have rules about allowing somebody to acquire that much power and wealth, you'll then say well what is the motivation to build a brand or a company that big.

Well once you remove the people that are selfish greedy and evil from the market, people will build just because they love it, and they'll build better things. not everyone does things only for money and the people that do things only for money are usually building things that harm the public and cause other significant harm to society

When a company does a group layoff, they should be required to replace their CEO, or be fined an additional 20% (non exemptable) tax for the next 10 years

Repeated layoffs, should continue layering that same fine if CEOs remain

When you lay people off you negatively affect the economy. I don't agree that poor decision making skills that lead to layoffs, indicate intelligence.

Being in charge of a large company should require some form of minimum accountability or intellect and success track record.

Otherwise you are hurting lots of taxpayers at the same time you're putting them out of work, lowering income tax for their state and the whole country, unless you show that some thing may change next time around you should face a 20% tax penalty on top of your existing taxes, that must be paid for at least a decade, no exemptions or early forgiveness. There should be zero possibility of writing off this tax or not paying it, and it should apply to your revenue as income tax as a company

I'm sorry if you're hiring rapidly not without a plan to possibly weather a storm you are a fucking moron I'm sorry you are you're not innovative you're not cool you're not you know a guy with sunglasses you're a fucking moron and a loser.

So unless you know how to do proper steady growth unless you know how to prevent a massive layoff of your company people's lives are not an elastic resource you should experiment with

I had a really good marketing campaign designed for you all

You know the saying, "sorry I gotta run"

Picture this a room filled with corporate bullshitters

They're all talking but sort of faded into the background.

The guy looks down at his legs looks up with the room and says something like I'm not feeling well I got to run.

He doesn't even have time to take off his suit he swaps off his dress shoes for a pair of Nikes and just hits the sidewalks in New York City

Meta begins cutting thousands of jobs in sweeping layoffs - IMHO gold standard severance

I don't know people if people at meta disagree, but I think this is a mad reasonable severance agreement.

IMHO, props to meta, I'm not going to knock what I consider a pretty reasonable severance

dislcaimer: I vehemently hate Zuckerberg, and I don't have a Facebook account, but this an extremely generous severance

Can the lawyers in the Mangione case technically make an esoteric self defense claim?

Let me explain my logic. In most states self-defense laws apply to other people in immediate danger of death.

It doesn't always have to be yourself that you are defending.

I think the case can be made that if he believed that CEO was causing the immediate death of people by not providing them coverage or by condoning allowing them to die I think an esoteric claim could be made for his innocence

In a war between Microsoft and Apple, ChromeOS (Linux) is probably going to win

https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/platforms/android/meet-googlebook/

There's nothing not to really love about this new device. It's not even about it being cloud ready or having AI, it's about how pragmatic it is and how it's responsive to what people need and how it's not tone deaf, and out of touch

I have a $300 Chromebook that does almost everything I need.

I cannot fucking wait until this comes out

Special shout out to Linus, what you did all those years ago really changed the world 🫶
