Gotta love these creatures… 🤦

Somehow she found the ONE wire gate that got blown down in a storm that we didn’t know about and got snared up in it. All superficial wounds, 2 staples to hold a flap together and that’s all. 2 weeks of stall rest and bandaging. Grateful we got away with nothing worse than what will end up a few scars. Hardest part is going to be keeping her out of the mud in only a half covered stall when it’s raining every afternoon. Any tips for that welcome, we put straw down and gutted as much of the mud as we could.

Anyone willing to take a dark eyed junco in Colorado?

Im out west so the closest one is over half an hour. However they won’t pick up and the other close one is closed. All others will be closed within the time it’ll take for me to get there. I found a very soggy dark eyed junco and even after getting him dry and warm he’s sitting funny. Didn’t seem to be flying well and he was easy to catch. I moved him out of the bucket into an empty horse supplement can with holes punched in the lid. I plan to put him in an old reptile tank for the night and drive him out to a rehabber tomorrow when I go to get feed. Anything I can do for the little guy over night? I believe I have wild bird food but worst case I have some chicken feed/cracked corn. Would anyone take him today? I know I’m not equipped to take care of him but I don’t think I can get him to a rehabber tonight.

Bird has sadly passed, warm dry and cared for at the very least

Found a very soggy dark eyed junco

I’ve closed it into a bucket with some hay. It wasn’t flying well and was fairly easy to catch as it goes. It’s very wet and puffed up. It wasn’t moving great and just doesn’t seem super energetic. It bit me a few times, very angry. It’s still snowing heavily and pretty cold. A lot of my other animals are shivering. Should I take it home until the snow has passed? I can offer it some cracked corn, which it was probably hanging around to eat what we had out for the chickens.

Weird saddle

SADDLE WILL NOT BE GOING ON A HORSE!! It’s becoming decor!!

I just picked up some saddles to turn into barstools for a friend and this one is stumping me. I bought all 4 from a hoarder. The thing that’s stumping me is the styrofoam. The fleece was oddly loose and there was a rip so I could see in and oddly enough there’s styrofoam. I tore out the fleece and I noticed it’s built kind of oddly from others I’ve pulled apart like this to barstoolify. Some of the parts are obviously coated or synthetic leather (pics 6-9) and the back is very loose. The rest of The leather seems to be medium quality. I’m thinking it some kind of poorly made Mexican or Indian saddle. The tree is also weird. Thoughts? I’ve never seen one quite this odd.

Y’all it was his tail. He has enough tail hair for 4 horses. Despite brushing it multiple times a week when it’s unbraided it still tends to get matter in the core and dreadlock-y everywhere else. He’s fully capable of getting his tail BONE up and out of the way, if he has less hair it wouldn’t be a problem, but since he has so much he has a built in butthole privacy curtain that was getting in the way of the poo. Since braiding boot shitting is down 90%! the occasional little nugget falls in but other than that he’s good. Even with his oversized sheet on there’s been such an improvement.

Your oc encounters Punch hanging around the back of a popular bar. He seems a bit bored, occasionally spinning a half empty glass.

Romance allowed, Punch is in his late 20s early 30s with very little preference

Combat is off the table here

One word replies will be ignored, I really cannot stand it when someone says “yeah” as a full ass rp response

And have fun!

I get it, parking a big ass truck is hard, not THAT hard though. This just floors me. On top of it they had a stupid fancy trailer hitch that had obviously never pulled a damn thing

Edit: y'all, I'm disabled as shit, I use a chair on bad days, this would have obstructed me from getting it out. If they needed to use the unloading bay on the left side that spot was open, as was the bay on the side I parked on which was also handicap. Most of the other handicap spots in the lot were also available, with loading zones.

Edit 2: some of you folks are thicker than mud. A wheelchair cannot fit easily or safely in the space they left, if this was the only spot, whoever would need to park there is just screwed. It doesn't matter if other spots were free, the problem is this is bad behaviour

My gelding does nothing but shit in his fly boots. Like clockwork every day I have to empty his boots out. Is there anything I can do to prevent him from pooping in his boots? Maybe his tails too thick? It’s better when it’s braided up. It’s not just one single turd either, it’s quite a few and visibly weighs the boot down

We've hit a wall in my treatment. I've had 7+ sinus infections since January (or one continuous one that ebbs and flows, we don't know anymore). I currently have one. I had 4 days between this one and my last one, which lasted nearly 3 weeks. I can't even get out of bed, I'm so badly sick. They cannot give me any oral antibiotics as we literally ran out of options (not even exaddurating, I'm either allergic or the side effects are so violent I cannot safely continue taking them. Hospitalisation level stuff) and my useless ENT is refusing to send me somewhere where I can get IV ones. I had a sinus lift in January for implants, and it made the sinus infections way worse. I used to only get them about once or twice a month, even after a turbinate reduction and septoplasty. It's every other week now. They've attempted a nasal swab 4 times but have failed to do it successfully due to it being excruciatingly painful and refusing to give me any medication to make it easier. I've been doing antibiotic and saline flushes; they don't help a whole lot and just seem to aggravate my nose and make me sneeze a whole lot. Same with nose sprays. I'm getting a CT scan this week, sick or not, I said fuck it, I'm so tired of this. What was FESS like? Was it an easy recovery? Did it help at all? Should I press for another turbinate reduction? Have my graft pulled out? My family is literally in the process of getting me shipped across the country for an extended stay at a specific hospital, so we are a bit desperate for any help. Recommendations for hospitals that specialise in this are very welcome. These sinus infections have literally stripped my life away. I feel like the walking dead.
