Question for ex/current employees
I am leaving cibc this week. What will happen to my vacation days accumulated. I have two weeks left for vacation this year. Do i get paid for vacation days in last pay cheque? Thanks for your inputs
I got an email from amex that they ve flagged my crd for an online charge at walmart for 13k i replied no coz i didnt make any purchase. Next thing i know is they reduced my credit limit from 30k to 1200$ like wtf. I started using amex as my primary credit card not anymore, called their fraud team and they wouldn't help and advised that system reduced it automatically coz out of blue someone else decided to use my card and i will suffer now. Very frustrating and bad experience. Well i understand their side too as they ve to manage their risk but i think its not fair that they reduce credit limit of a client who always pay on time never had any problems and ve been with amex for 4 years now.
I m trying to dispute a charge for a clothing item i ordered from china and didnt receive after waiting month and a half but td app is so crap from past due two days it gives it me error
I recently interviewed with rbc for a role in group risk management everything was good, hiring manager was satisfied with my answers in interview (or at least thats what i thought) when applying at rbc and initial hr call both times i mentioned that i used to work at rbc years ago as FA in branch that i had to resign in few months as i was just out of school at that time and the sales role was very overwhelming for me. Since then i have gained experience with cibc and various certifications. After the interview hiring manager said they will hve to cross check with my TL from years ago before giving any final decision (for context my score card was bad and i didn't hit any sales target in my previous role at rbc) that was around a week ago i haven't heard back from hr or hiring mgr ever since. Will my previous role at bank that has nothing to do with this role affect the decision? Thank you for any valuable inputs :)
Over a week ago someone changed my password from Sydney. I am in Saskatchewan Canada. I notified wealthsimple immediately i changed my password and since then they ve blocked my account. They said someone also changed the phone number and email. I can't even log in now. I have called customer service more than 4 times and they advised to keep waiting for fraud department to investigate. They asked to provide two pieces of id and sin document which i did n that was a week ago. I ve moved all my money to WS and its really scary if i don't get access to my own funds. Right
Now all i ve is amex credit card and no other money to use . Anyone had similar experience with WS?
I am unable to add my credit card to apple wallet - it says contact ur card issuer. Called scotiabank. Call was sent to Philippines and the agent had no idea what i was talking about. Anyone else having issues adding card to wallet? Its a Scene Visa Card if that makes a difference. Thanks for any inputs.
Ticker ZEB - BMO assets management ETF holding Canadian top 6 banks paying monthly dividend has experienced over 60% growth last year. What are your thoughts? Is this a good holding long term with the real estate market declining? And has more upside than xeqt? As Canadian banking market has been booming recently.
Any advice and suggestions are highly appreciated
As title suggests, i had an annual subscription charge of Walmart delivery and two random walmart charges on my scotia credit card. I used to shop online at Walmart, i had no walmart pass, no free trial, and that was almost a year ago. Suddenly few weeks ago, to my surprise i had one charge for 129$ something and two charges for around 80$. I locked my card and immediately called scotia bank. The agent cancelled my card issued a new one (which i hve been waiting for three weeks now) the charge is still there as amount owing. Today i got a letter in mail stating that i am responsible for charges and its not fraud. I dont even know who used my card. When i called Scotia bank today the agent transferred me to fraud department then that agent transferred me somewhere and he told me that they can't give specific details on why i was held liable for something i didn't even order. What are my next options? I really can't afford to lose my money coz of some bad actors out there. I used to work in fraud too and looks like scotia fraud policy is very weak. I really appreciate any suggestions or advice. Best,

I m currently with cibc working at level 5 in risk and fraud management. There are some openings in risk at level 7 which i have certifications and i am interested to apply. Can I jump from level 5 to 7 or i can only apply jobs in level 6? Thanks for any valuable inputs.
Hello everyone,
I am looking to get some guidance regarding my situation. In 2022 i used to work for a small convenience store ( I had multiple jobs during that year so i had multiple t4's) in Toronto i filed taxes that year i had small owing to CRA that i paid and everything was fine until yesterday. I got an email saying there's a matching letter for me to review. I logged in to cra account and as per that letter i need to provide with all t4 for 2022 and name contact info and address of employer which i can provide. I check my t4 in cra 2022 and i had three jobs during that year i can only see two t4 on my doc section for that year. Does that means that the convenience store owner didn't report my taxes to cra? I also don't have t4's for that year. I called employer they had a phone number on google and no one is picking up the call i am not even sure if they are still in business. What should i do now? In that letter it mentions if i don't provide all these information i will have money and interest owing applied to my cra account.
Thank you everyone for your valuable inputs.
