How is it really like being a defense contractor?
Is it better than being in SOF or a pilot?

I’m attending a TDY that requires I wear full service dress. How do you like to pack your blues for a plane trip?
You could work at NSA, or at JSOC, or be some green beret, or be an advanced computer network hacker, but still not meet the requirements for FBI SA cuz you don’t have a 4 year degree.
wtf.
Sorry friends, just had to vent. I’m kinda going through a mid life crisis rn.
How big of a role do you think nepotism plays into people getting into the command?
I probably bombed my interview today I was asked to name a time where I faced an ethical dilemma at work.
When I was asked that, my mind went blank. I couldn’t think of a single ethical dilemma I personally faced. I made up the following: I responded by saying how I went behind my bosses back to attend a training that was benefiting the team and built relationships. Did I just ruin any chance I have?
They’re not even real psychiatric examinations. More-so personality interviews.
I had one recently that felt more like a job interview. Asking me stuff like how would my coworkers rate me as a leader? Biggest professional achievement? Did I ever disagree with boss.

Not gonna go into detail, but I ran a broad query by accident as a gov contractor and gov customer decided to let me go. How do I answer this on the SF86 or SCI screening questionnaire?
Should I go into slightly more detail? Or just say I want a strong fit?
I left active duty over a year ago and joined the air national guard and was wondering if AFPC or someone else might still have a record of my old SURF. Any suggestions?
I put in a packet for a unit. They wanted a headshot pic and the recruiter said professional civilian attire was fine.
Went to a pro at photo studio wearing a blazer, dress shirt and open collar, but no tie.
Now I’m thinking I messed up my chances by not
a) wearing my blues
b) not wearing a tie
Thoughts?
For me I don’t like delegating tasks to my troops. Part of it is a trust issue where I just don’t know if they can really execute or are motivated to do it. It’s bad.
For context, the role values self initiative, drive, team work, and collaboration.
I said that I take on too much responsibility and have issues delegating tasks to others. Thoughts on the response?

It could apply to either your personal or professional life.
Someone once told me that those two items together are a hard no go. Is there any truth to this?
