Church of St Mary's and all Saints

Chesterfield UK. Famous crooked spire. Built using unseasoned wood. But a myth says the devil sat on it. Legend has it that if a virgin get married in the church the spire will straighten. The tower has 10 bells, plus an eleventh curfew bell.

St John the Baptist church Staveley

Earliest record of a church on this site is 1086 in the doomsday survey. Probably built during the reign of Edward the Confessor.Has had a lot of renovations. Spotted on the way to the dentist, in a town near where I live.
