How do you know when to walk away?
As Tauruses, we value loyalty so much that we may stay in relationships with people that are not even good for us anymore. How did you know it was time to walk away?

long story short, my partner and i have been together for about 10 years, and neither of us were “religious”
we’ve both smoked weed together, gone out to party together, been lazy together, done things that aren’t necessarily biblical and enjoyed it together
in the last 8 months he has transformed into a fully devoted Christian
i accept and love him anyway, i go to church with him and have found enjoyment in that myself as well
he is on a sober journey and i have been on it with him so far to support him
however he has now given me an ultimatum that i become a devoted Christian, which he explains means reading the bible daily, taking notes on it, fully believing and understanding the passages with zero doubt, giving up all substance use (which i have never struggled with addiction with, we’re talking about occasional use) or else we break up…i’m just not there
i feel like i either lose the person i love or i lose my autonomy
i went to Elements last year and it was my first camping festival. loved it so much i bought tickets immediately to come back this year!
as i am planning on what i could improve on prep/packing wise from last year, i remember how zen it looked to just be able to lay in a hammock at air stage. i would love to try and bring my own this year. i don’t know how to hook it up to the trees but hopefully youtube or a kind person will be available to help me out.
that being said, how exactly does it work? do i have to email support to make sure there is enough space available? or is it a first come-first serve type of thing. i am arriving on thursday, so can i just go at any point in the evening (once it’s open) to hook it up? please let me know of any tools or helpful gadgets i may need as well - this would be a first for me! thanks so much
never seen either of them, so conflicted :(
my 28M boyfriend and i 26F have been together for 10 years…we met in high school when i was 16 and he was 18 (on and off in the beginning bc we were dumb high schoolers but that’s besides the point)
this is the man i have always wanted to marry and saw myself having a future with
just a little about us, we’re very much into health and fitness, both worked as personal trainers (he was actually my boss at one point) love hiking, don’t drink much, we do smoke MJ pretty often (him daily, me mainly weekends only) neither of us grew up religious and we both grew up with pretty estranged parents
in 2023 we got into the music festival/raving scene, we both love it (though i think i do more than him) and under some substance-provided courage, he told me he cannot wait to have kids together..up until that point we had both vocalized preferring a child-free life so it really shocked me. i have yet to agree to wanting children myself, but i feel i am open to it because i know i am only hesitant due to my own fears and trauma i’ve had with my own family, and i know with him i would be ok and safe. still he throws in my face all the time or if he does something wrong that he just “can’t get his shit together” because “our only purpose in life is to reproduce” and i give him no purpose….still, i am making an effort and reading on the baby decision to continue to open myself up to the idea. i also feel like i value our relationship more than the hardship of parenting. so, there’s that.
fast forward to 5 months ago, he’s had this sort of religious awakening. it went from “i’m going to try church this sunday” to daily prayer before meals, worship music all car drives, in the house, for the gym, Jesus is the topic of every other conversation, and he wants to essentially surrender our lives to God now. i actually go to church with him every Sunday, and partake in the prayers before dinner, but i can’t say i am completely devoted or feel the desire to be. he also went from having his social media be centered around health/fitness to solely Jesus content. it just feels like a lot really fast and i’m a bit overwhelmed. and for the first time, i no longer feel stable in this relationship. he wants to completely go sober, let go of raving (for context we only go 1x a month) and basically just follow all the rules of the bible. we’ve of course been having sex for the past decade and he has brought up going celibate until marriage. i’m just really sad…i feel like the person i’ve known for 10 years is not only turning into someone else, but also requiring me to be someone else. because he wants me to read the bible daily, wants me to pray daily, wants me to not “sin” daily… i’m lost. i need advice.
how was the food? portions? if you could only do dinner or brunch which would you choose?
I am 26F, and struggling to love how ‘puffy’ my eyes always look…I find myself trying to keep my eyebrows raised a lot, but then that gives me a crease/wrinkle in my forehead which I also hate. My concern with the upper bleph is that it’s not permanent.
looking at summer shows and thinking of hitting paragon july 3rd for Joey Beltram, but i’ve never been to paragon - the description on dice says “dress 2 impress” so is there some type of dress code? is this a marquee type of venue?
10 days ago my mom forgot her laptop at home and my dad opened it to check on something regarding the solar panels. When he opened it, the photo album was open and he saw some “thirst traps” for lack of a better word that gave him a weird feeling, so he took his phone out to take pictures of them and question her about it when she got back home later in the day. Then he realized the quality would be shit, so he thought to just email them to himself. Well, when he went to attach those pictures to send to himself, he’s prompted with choosing which album he’s attaching pictures from…and voila, there is the hidden album.
In the hidden album were screenshots my mom has taken over the course of several years of conversations involving her affair with another married man. Thousands of explicit pictures and videos of herself in my room, at my desk, in my sister’s room, my sister’s desk, my grandmother’s house, her bathroom at work, next to my dad while he’s snoring…Thousands of messages planning on what argument to bring to the house (Which my sister and I have been subjected to for years, and is a big source of trauma for me. There has been no love or peace in my home in a long time.) in order to bring chaos and tension so that she could get the opportunity to leave the house and meet up with her affair partner. Thousands of messages ridiculing my dad when he’d get upset after she’d manipulate him into thinking he was guilty of doing something wrong that she had completely made up or overreacted about. Screenshots of her conversations with my dad where he would ask her if she’s his or if she loves him and she would say “no one belongs to anyone” to send back to her affair partner and say “I am only yours.” (Of course witnessing my mom’s constant rejection/dismissal of my dad and his starvation for a sliver of affection is something else we’ve been subjected to for years.) It wasn’t just the vileness of the affair. It was how all of these arguments in the house that gave me constant anxiety were all calculated. Purposely curated. How I was manipulated by her into thinking my dad was not a good person. I lost years of a good relationship with my dad because she convinced me to turn my back against him and always take her side.
I knew something was wrong with her. She was constantly chasing external male validation. I just could have never imagined this. There are so many layers and depth to what I found out that this text doesn’t even encapsulate all of it. I am overwhelmed, disappointed, disgusted, grieving the loss of this image I had of my mom in my head.
She moved out a day after, so 9 days ago. She’s been coming by the house though, and I keep my distance from her. That is apparently deeply upsetting to her, and so today when she left before slamming the front door on her way out, she said “I only think of your sister and your grandma to give me a reason to stay when I think about killing myself.”
