It’d make no difference to charts (and therefore little point) but I’m praying Warners give us Bring Your Love CD’s so collectors can match with Love Sensation and Danceteria 😭 (Guy O if you’re reading I’ll be nice about you from now on if you do)

20 years ago today, Madonna released Jump as the final single from Confessions On A Dancefloor. What are your feelings on this release 2 decades later?

Posting a few hours earlier as it was released on September 11th and tomorrow will be the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and did not wish to appear insensitive by doing a celebratory/anniversary post to any American fans who were affected by the tragedy or are feeling solemn on its anniversary.

Are we falling into exploitation with legacy/elderly acts being on tour?

Following the news of Lionel Richie’s hospitalisation after a concert, it got me thinking about some recent examples of older performers going on stage when it appears it’s not in their best interest. For example, you may have seen videos of Frankie Valli and Gladys Knight in the last few months, or even videos of Rod Stewart struggling to get around on stage (and has recently had to cancel future dates due to health struggles). Whilst not in the same vain, it was clear that Whitney Houston was not ready to be back on stage (or at least performing consecutive dates) during her final tour.

Conversely, after being hospitalised, Madonna came back for the Celebration Tour which was a major success (though clearly not as agile as before, as to be expected with her ailments and age) so it can be done. Cher had been touring right up until 2020 also.

So it does make me wonder, when does it become exploitative for an older act to be on tour, rather than a legend who seems to be doing it because they want to (and the obvious financial benefits too?) - it seems that every so often we’ll see footage of a music icon struggling on stage when they should definitely be at home.

TPL: Does anyone else think Volcanic Crater is missing *something*

On yet another playthrough and after completing everything in Volcanic Crater I find it to be a little bit lacking.

It has 2 very memorable levels, and the lava tube is fun, but:

• There are no other ways to collect power cells other than pay the miners/oracle with the exception of the hidden power cell

• There are only 2 levels (Spider Cave and Snowy Mountain) in comparison to the other sages (Green has Sentinel Beach, Misty Island, Forbidden Jungle and Blue has Precursor Basin, Boggy Swamp and Lost Precursor City)

Still one of, if not my favourite game of all time but always find this section isn’t as strong as the others.

A question for older Madonna fans: Which music video premiere excited you the most?

At time I became a Madonna fan, music videos premiered mostly on YouTube (some might have done at an awards show or on TV somewhere but it was mostly YouTube) so I never got the thrill of waiting for one to premiere on MTV or another similar channel.

So for our more experienced fans in this subreddit, which music video was most exciting for you either to premiere or gave you the most excitement when you saw it for the first time?

A genuine question about Mariah’s live abilities from a casual fan

I’m from the UK and have been a fan of Mariah for a long time, but wouldn’t call myself a Lamb. I’ve listened to the majority, but not all of her work and have always wanted to see her live. I missed her 2016 dates due to exams.

As it’s been strongly hinted we’re getting some Christmas shows in the UK this year I’m inclined to get a ticket, but I have seen a few videos of her concerts in the last year or so where she doesn’t appear to be focused or engaged (or even enjoying it). Some videos looked like lipsynching or heavy backing track usage (But I’m not knowledgable enough on how to identify it so not going to outright say it was)

I’m not inviting speculation if something is going on with her, and I appreciate she’s suffered some bereavements recently too.

Essentially my question is if it is worth it in 2026 to see her live or to give it a miss.

Again, no criticism is meant by this.
