I decided to recorded "So Emotional" by Whitney Houston and recorded this short cover in the original key. My main question is: am I staying on pitch throughout the performance? If not, where do you hear me going sharp or flat? I'd also appreciate any feedback on my tone, support, or anything else you think stands out (or not lol)

Theres this channel which i thing it is kinda interesting, he did a video saying that a bruno mars is not a really a tenor but more of a lyric baritone

He comment this of one the comments "Yeah. He's probably a real tenor, but take note that he's not using a classical technique and a chesty open throat technique. His singing has always been nasal, squeezed (high larynx) and CT dominant. If he sang with a more classical technique, he would sound deeper and lower than his trademark voice. His TA muscle would also be more developed and thicker.

I'm a Baritone and when I sing in a nasal CT dominant placement (w/ a raised larynx) for consecutive weeks/months, my speaking voice tends to get higher & thinner too, my tone starts to sound similar to Bruno's/Michael's live tone, and my low notes start to weaken too because my TA muscles are being underused/underdeveloped. This is why I also consider the possibility that Bruno might be a lyric Baritone with a well developed CT muscle and an underdeveloped TA muscle because I can somehow mimic his tone. And Im a deep Baritone like Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble in nature when singing in a chestier placement more consistently."

Then he made a video about real tenors, which i found really interesting and show me new artists that i didn’t know

These are the real examples of what a Tenor timbre in Contemporary music really sounds like. These male singers are naturally comfortable to sing in the Tenor range without using alternative techniques.

These are the voices that can't be mimicked/faked by Baritones who intentionally sing with a raised larynx and a nasal placement. A lot of people in this vocal community mislabel Baritones in Pop music as tenors just because they have well developed CT muscles and often sing in an airy, high-larynx, and nasal/twangy vocal placement.

Someone comment "Are true tenors supposed to at least sustain an open A4 in M1?"

And he answered " Not only that but also being able to comfortably stay in the tenor key without overcurbing, hypernasality, or overpushing. You should be able to hear ease, freedom, comfort, and STAMINA whenever they sing in the tenor key (even with stylistic distortions).

I'm just bringing that, because i want to see if y'all agree with that, i would to see more people talk about this, cause i don't agree 100% about it? What y'all think?

So i did this cover of billie jean where ive been working on with my teacher for a month now, and i've did everything, i match the pitch to see if im really okay, studie a lot this song, hear them live and acapella, but i did with my own voice, i receive a nice feedback from my teacher, and i send to some people i trust and they say that it was good, that theres some point that i should work on, and then i decided to post on that chinese app... just to see how the feedback from the people would be... and then they are playing with my face in the comments LOL, and i really don't think that is that bad tbh... i know i have a lot to work on, but its not a bad cover.... or it is and i'm tonedeaf 😭
