This is the second Zee book I’ve read (the first being Paul Dini’s run) and wow this run was so much fun! Cannot praise Campbell enough, the art was 10/10 and it was so consistent, the double page spreads were breathtaking. He has outdone himself.

The plot was short and sweet (low key wish it was longer), I really like The Lady White she has such a cool design and I really like how her powers were depicted, same with Zee’s magic it was super glamorous whenever there was a fight going on. I’ll rate this a 9/10, it felt like such a breath of fresh air. Side note I thought Womder Woman was also drawn really well, her design and build was peak!

Side note, is there anything I should read before starting the current ongoing run?

Idk how many eps of the lost tapes are out but on hbo max in Aus there are only 9 so far😓 I NEED 200 EPS OF THE LOST TAPES AND I NEED IT NOW

So does this story just not get resolved? If so I feel very robbed lol.

I was really keen on seeing Zee confront brother night especially with the revelation that Colton was his son.

Just finished Paul Dini’s Zatanna and wow it was so damn good. I bought it on a whim and I was completely blown away. I really like the tone of the book, especially how Zee is characterised. Zatanna is written as kind, flashy, knowledgeable, graceful and she’s really likeable imo. At first the art was a bit rough but as better artists took over I started enjoying the comic even more.

I really like Zatanna’s relationship with her cousin Zach and I thought that her finally making it to one of his shows was really sweet and I’d love to see him in more Zatanna books.

The selection of villains was also so cool, going from amateur witches likely nimona ravensong to brother night to the demon mammon was so cool, I liked how we see Zatanna deal with levels of magical threats and how she turns it up a notch depending on what she’s dealing with. Solid 9/10 imo. I’m gonna start Campbells 2025 run I’m just letting this book sit with me for a bit as well as seeing if I should read anything else prior lol.

I’m 60% through Paul Dini’s run of Zatanna. It has been an interesting read so far, I really like Zee’s characterisation and how she uses her powers. I think there were a couple times so far where sometimes shes just thrown out an energy blast which is a bit basic but it was only like twice so I’m not gonna scrutinise because it has been a very fun read so far! The villains featured so far have also been really cool from petty rivals like Nimue Ravensong, to get us introduced to Zee then shifting to harder to deal with adversaries like brother night or Mammon to show just how well Zatanna is versed in the rules of magic she is.

I have Campbells 2025 run waiting but I’m wondering if I should read anything else before that? Any reccs are very welcome ty :D

Do we think all the different weapons that were in the OG (that we haven’t gotten yet) will show up in revelation or do you think they will cut some of the gear? I don’t think we will have the swords or gear we used in rebirth available to us in Revelation like how we started rebirth with base weapons from remake. The buster sword is super iconic but I’m gonna miss my slipstream saber I thought the design was so cool😭😭😭😭

This episode has such heavy emotional beats. The whole time you just want Harvey to bounce back and live happily with his fiancé😭😭

My pick is Return of the Mordecai and the Rigbys. That ending is actual gold. I literally died from laughter when Eileen explained that the whole park band passed out from heat stroke before even performing. But it’s a win because they’re in a hospital with air con! But it’s too cold😂😂 this ep is now in my top 5 lol

As the title says, taking t@bs with 2 friends tmrw afternoon at one of their places. We don’t know how many UG they are (my friend picked them up and didn’t think to ask what the dosage was like, silly yes I know). I’m only gonna take 1 just incase they are high doses (I don’t expect them to be more than 100ug but gonna stay on the safe side).

Hi friends. I have a PACE unit coming up in Sem 2. Received a link from the pace email to fill out a placement form on the iParticipate site.

I filled out the form (1.a student undertaking (placement group) 2026) which asked basic details eg privacy consents, declarations, emergency contacts. Is there anything else I need to do on my end for now? Any info is much appreciated :D

Just rewatched the fists of justice episode with Klorgbane and it holds up so well. Genuinely top 5 episodes imo. Klorgbane? More like Klorglame lolol

How different are wolf dreams to warging? Just got to Arya’s blind girl chapter in Dance. She’s aware that she becomes a wolf in the night and that dream meat (her hunts as Nymeria) won’t feed the blind girl Beth in the day. To me it sounds like Arya is conscious of her dreams, but hasn’t realised she is warging Nymeria. I get the impression she’s in the backseat while Nymeria is in control.

Compared to Bran chapters where he has complete control over Summer and can warg Hodor or Jon chapters where he’ll slip into Ghost’s skin without realising even thinking to himself that him and Ghost are one being it seems like Arya isn’t able to fully control Nymeria. I do think it’s impressive that she’s having Wolf dreams while being across the narrow sea, it’s clear her connection to Nymeria is very strong

I had a sanction on my acc due to unpaid SSAF first half year fees. Just paid the fee, was wondering if anyone knows when the sanction will get lifted? Is this something that needs to be done manually? Can’t pick my sem 2 classes or lodge help requests w service connect until the sanction is lifted. Need to sort out pace related stuff for next term asap :D

Just for fun I wanted to theorise on what the final POV chapter of ASOIAF would have in it. Let’s say we get winds and dream (yes I know it’s never coming, George winds pls yada yada).

I think that the final chapter just like the first chapter (excluding the prologues and epilogues) will be a Bran chapter. I also think maybe ghost howling for the first time could be one of the final lines in the books. Would love to hear what others think the final chapter could contain :D
